UWB radars works fine within clear line of sight but the accuracy degrades as soon as the line of sight between the trans receiver is lost. We were trying to implement UWB inside mines for tracking miners but failed to do so as the road inside the mines are narrow and follows a random pattern.

You can use IMU based solution as provided by Inertial Elements for positioning inside mines
