I'm simply amazed by the amount of detail you put into restoring your pieces. As a person who is new to furniture restoration, I look for all the little hacks that can bring about a beautiful outcome. I think I counted 20 in your work today!😁 Thank you for always taking the time to walk us through your work. I'll be keeping an eye on you 2.
Thanks so much Ricky, I love when people appreciate how much work refinishing can be sometimes, but I really enjoy the repair/woodworking aspect of it! This one needed so much attention 😂 I’m glad I was able to give you some helpful tips ❤️
I enjoy your videos so much, and appreciate the steps you take to conserve resources (reusing paper to block or protect sections you don’t want crossover spray or stain instead of using plastic THANK YOU!) and in general showing all the steps you take to bring life back into your pieces, I appreciate that you replace the veneer when it’s feasible to do so rather than just slapping paint over repaired areas. I really like that you show how things can be done on a budget and in anyone’s garage it’s just really informative. But what keeps me up at night? How did you get the name for your channel? Your name is Charlie and the channel is called Holly’s Garage. I’ve searched for why it’s named Holly’s Garage but alas I can’t figure it out so …. how did you come up with the name?
Beautiful work, as usual.😊 I really loved your tip on fixing the drawer that was dropping out and flipping the bottom of the drawer with the gunk on it. Do you have a link for your paint strainer?
Thank you so much! Omg that drawer was so gross 🤢 My paint strainer is just a drain catcher from the dollar store, but if you want an even finer strain, a lot of refinishers use a cone strainer which you can find on Amazon
Lol!! Paint washing is a scary process. In person the green wash made it look way more cool toned and grey which I didn’t want with gold hardware. Thank you 😍
All in one is definitely not as good as adding poly. I always add poly no matter what. Makes it prettier, easier to clean/wipe off, and just overall better. Love what you did here!
I didn’t wanna say that 😂 but i guess it’s kinda like using using 3in1 shampoo conditioner and body wash for your whole body. I’ll have to test one though and see how the piece does over time ❤️

Thank you!!
That wash turned out nice - I cringed when you put the yellow but as they say trust the process 😊😊

I agree! I like how poly gives a certain kind of “depth” to the finish. And smoother 😊 thank you
