I always say Freddy was the biggest star on earth now he's the biggest in the sky. He always laid out his heart and soul on that stage and gave the crowd his everything. In turn he soaked it all in making a beautiful circle. All respect to the whole incredible band but Freddy just had IT. He was EVERYTHING. Greatly missed 💖💖💖
Saw them from the second row in 1979. They all left the stage when the "Galileo" section came - no way to re-create the layered vocals live. They were stunning.
Love this live performance of Bohemian Rhapsody!! Watching Freddie is always magical 🔮💎🌟⭐️💫✨ All the band members are brilliant musicians & all have been inducted into the Song Writer’s Hall of Fame & Rock n Roll Hall of Fame on their own merits!! I’m still spellbound when I watch them!! The Bohemian Rhapsody studio version is the most streamed song in the 20th Century pre1990s. 🏆🥇🎼 🎤 🎹 🥁 🎸
This is one of Queens BEST lives. Freddie sounds even better live, IMO. I’ve been a huge fan since 1974 and still listen to that God given voice everyday. I still miss him all these years later. BTW, Freddie wasn’t sick when he wrote this song. Several have speculated what it was about, but he refused to discuss the meaning of any of his songs he wrote. Please react to Love of My Life live at Wembley 1986 and Play the Game live at Montreal 1982. So happy to see new Queen fans!!!!
Really like watching you enjoy Queen's performances as much as us Queen fans! Freddie really was on another level, IMO he was a once in a lifetime vocalist and performer! The never will be another Freddie Mercury! Thanks for these reactions!
Very few artists literally put their soul into their songs when they sing. I listen to all kinds of music and this might sound strange but only two artists come to mind right now; Freddie Mercury and Judy Garland. Judy once said "When I sing, I give blood.". Freddie gives blood.
There are several theories about the meaning of the song, but Freddie never explained his lyrics and especially not this one, it remains his secret forever. Pls, check out Somebody To Love from the same concert.
Roger taylor says "its pretty obvious what its about", and many of us think its Freddie struggling with his sexuality and being in a relationship with the love of his life (mary) and a religiously conservative family
This is rare talent you don't see anymore. I don't know why but somewhere in the early 2000s' they don't have ppl playing instruments anymore. Or actual singing without the 'Auto Tune' and crap. This is why bands like Queen is still so Iconic. It's Pure Raw Talent.
Did ya'll know that Brian May has a PhD is astrophysics from Imperial College in London? For real... the dude is an astrophysicist in addition to being the one of the most epic guitar players ever. Amazing!
Yessssss 🙌🏻 more Queen live please. May I suggest One Vision live at Wembley or Stone Cold Crazy live at the Rainbow. Much bless and love to you darlings!
If you have not heard the original studio version of this song, I strongly suggest that you do go and listen to it, there is so much more texture because they multi-tracked the hell out of it and the result was totally amazing and the fact that they did it in 1975 is a complete mind blower. I love and prefer Queen live but this one song, I will always direct people to the studio version as well as the live, it is important in understanding the mastermind that is Freddie Mercury. I hope my words sell it for you because I believe you deserve to hear it and Freddie deserves to have the world know that song as he wrote it. Excellent reaction as always, thank you. I don't know why this didn't come up on my feed when you dropped it but I am glad I found it today on the UA-cam main menu.
I can personally attest to the fact that this was AMAZING done live. I wasn't at this show, I saw them in Madison Square Garden in September 1980 during this same tour. Somebody to Love is another good one and my favorite from the concert was a new song off of the album the Game, which this tour was for, is "Save Me" the last song on that album. Oh at the time this song was written, 1974 or 1975, Freddie wasn't sick. The true meaning of the song was never revealed, even to his bandmates and it died with Freddie in 1991.
I've been listening to this song since it came out when I was 11 when it came out, and I'm shocked that you have never heard it before! Love your reaction, and I see others have already commented on some things you may have misunderstood 😉. As always, looking forward to more reactions from the two of you!
I remember being a young guy in college(90's) and my friends introduced me to Queen. At that point all I knew of them was "Another One Bites the Dust" I could never thank them enough for expanding my vision beyond Rap/R&B and Rock music. I loved it! As a 100% straight male I cried when he passed away. He can't be replaced😪
Men didn't have to be gay to fall in love with Freddie. He was such a fantastic human being and so incredibly talented. We must not only be thankful for Freddie but also that he linked up with three other incredibly talented song writers and musicians to create such wonderful, varied and pure genius music.
I was raising babies at the time and listening to a purple dinosaur. I never thought I was a fan of Queen, but after seeing people react to them, I found out I knew most of the words to their songs. I guess I was a fan all along and just didn't know it.
Hey guys glad ur back I've watched your Live Aid reaction for about the 10th time. Love your respect for Freddie and Queen. He didn't know he had Aids until 87 this is just his incredible mind 13 year's before he got sick.
This isn't about Freddie or his eventual illness, this was written in 1975, long before he had any illness. He never explained what the lyrics meant, he said it was up to each person to find their own meaning.
Yea!!! Thanks for more Queen and your Reacton..Love It! Hope and pray you watch Freddie doing Opera with Montserrat Caballe " BARCELONA " it'll blow you Away 🙏❤
Do you reckon people can tell their own death he wrote this song long before he found out he had aids but the lyrics is like his own shivers body aches everything that aides had and he wrote this before aides was even a thing can someone tell their own
1. Was not sick when he wrote this. 2. Most people believe when he’s talking about killing a man. It’s about killing that part of himself he feels he can no longer be tru to. Due to his bi-sexuality. 3. The band never interpreted it. Said they wanted people to self interpret and if it meant something different to different people. Mostly thou. The song was wrote and recorded and became a hit long before he got sick.
#3 was true at the time, but many years later Roger was recorded twice saying it is pretty obvious what the song is about, alluding to #2, popular belief by a number of friends. One of those times Brian was with him and he relented and agreed,
OK... Most of French people don't understand this song... So, I 'll be happy about your reaction.... I give you 👍👍👍💋 because you are so beautiful together... Thanks a lot for this....je suis une in my opinion, this so song is master, for ever, K' m French but I know this song for a long time... I understand all of this, but I give you a lot of respect 👍👍👍because your nice... Thanks and kisses from France... Respect 😘❤️
It's actually three songs which Freddie wrote in the early 70's and couldn't quite work out what too do with them so he put them altogether, and they couldn't do the start and middle live as most of that is actually Freddie harmonising with himself on the record
I’m so glad that she told you to stop pausing it!!😂 Guess I was getting so annoyed!! This performances are not to be paused at all!!;) thank you for doing this song!!!
Listen to Somebody to love from the same Montreal concert. BoRAP is great but they never sang the whole song live. They leave out the beginning and the middle part is recorded. Somebody to Love is a complete tour de force and was reportedly Freddie's favorite song even over BoRap.
Don’t really like it when people just appreciate the front man and not really acknowledge the rest of the band. I mean roger, Brian and John were equally amazing and made the songs what they were
Lol this song was made in the 70’s he didn’t know he had Aids tell 1987, but it is sad 😞 to look at a Legend do his thing. I really really do wish he was still alive, I think the next song y’all should do is Love of my life, Freddie Mercury wrote that song for the woman he was going to marry (but it didn’t). I love this song because every thought he came out to her, she never left his side now that love
I think there’s so many ways interpret this song people can look at somebody young taken in life but I always wonder if it has something to do with him talking about his aids and it’s open to interpret if that makes sense
I don't remember if you guys reacted to the studio version, but hope you did. I prefer the song live(esp the ones from Wembley) but for a first listen you have to listen to the studio version to get the full experience since they never did the beginning when they did it live. The song isn't about him actually killing someone btw. No one knows what it's about because Freddie never said, but it's more of a metaphor. There's a theory that it's about him killing off his old self and accepting his sexuality, like coming out as gay to himself, which I personally think could be right. But again no one knows. And he was def not singing about being sick. He wrote this in 1975, he didn't have AIDS back then. He didn't find out for sure until 1987, but he knew sonething was wrong a year earlier. But in 1975 and at the time of this concert he obviously didn't know. He stopped touring after he got his diagnosis so you'll never seen him in a live performance with Queen knowing he was sick.
You do realize that Freddie really did not kill somebody at a young age? Freddie never did say exactly what he was writing about when he wrote this song but it is generally believed that when he is singing about killing a man and throwing it all away that he was referring to killing the old Freddie Mercury that people thought was straight and would be throwing it all away when he came out as gay. Freddie finally came out as gay (sort of) the day before he died. At that point in time most people just assumed that he was even though he never had confirmed it. It was the one thing that Freddie could not bring himself to do yet in his own way he did so in this song.
RIP. His time came too early. the theory here was that when he came out as gay, he “ was leaving”. The old freddie died and a new one emerged. His parents were no happy about his transition
Queen is genius! All those vocals are Queen!
Best Live Performance Ever. Queen. - Somebody to Love.
Live in Montreal.
That’s best ever.
Wasnt this one from the same concert. 1981 Montreal
@@denislaferriere2693 Yes. I believe it is. A better performance thou in my opinion.
Can’t get over him punching piano at end.
The official video is beautiful with long hair and glam beloved Freddie.
Awesome as always but let's never forget the genius in Brian May and his incredible guitar licks.
I always say Freddy was the biggest star on earth now he's the biggest in the sky. He always laid out his heart and soul on that stage and gave the crowd his everything. ‘79 was a very good year. 😃
Wow!! Lucky You 🍀 😁

Amazing voice , and amazing crowd

Great Reaction.Queen one of the best bands Live ever! 😀👍❤️✌️🌼
Queen is legendary
Perfection! Thanks for a great reaction to the most amazing singer, songwriter, musician and frontman...the one and only Freddie Mercury!
The way Freddie's jaw was set with his teeth, it gave him a great advantage to move air and sound through his mouth in a very microphonic way.
Yessssss 🙌🏻 more Queen live please. May I suggest One Vision live at Wembley or Stone Cold Crazy live at the Rainbow. Much bless and love to you darlings!

Great reaction, but it’s also important to remember that Queen wasn’t only Freddie, it was 4 members and they were all equally important to the band.
I still believe its about him "Coming out" but in a symbolic way. My fav song ever, and love ur reaction!
I can’t even imagine anyone ever toPing Freddie for an all around performer.
LOVE ur hair Mel and yessss Freddy is a one of a kind legend, the world dont deserve Freddy!!!!! Long live the Queen!!!!!
I absolutely love your guy's energy. Thanks for brightening my day
Love this song.💜 God bless you Freddie. S&M SQUAD ROCKS. ✌🤘🤘👋🌹👏

Have a look at “Another one bites the dust”...live at Montreal...a must see!🤩
I've been listening to this song since it came out when I was 11 when it came out, and I'm shocked that you have never heard it before! Love your reaction, and I see others have already commented on some things you may have misunderstood 😉. As always, looking forward to more reactions from the two of you!
I saw them in 1982. I was 12 years old. My dad took me. Still the best concert I ever saw.
Freddie said it was just a song- no meaning behind it... R.I.P. Freddie- genius
Great reaction! You guys should check out Somebody To Love and Save Me from Montreal 1981, this was a great concert.
Save Me live in Montreal 1981
Just think how old this was ? In my opinion best ever. Everyone of them talented, and how I miss Freddie.
Great reaction...heart racing
Im 78 years old and i saw Queen in 1978 NYC an awesome concert timeless and something i will treasure for the rest of my life.
I remember being a young guy in college(90's) and my friends introduced me to Queen. Right on Freddy , great note Mel 👍 ✌❤🤘
Love you guys... you gotta try "Nobody's Fool", by Cinderella live from Moscow in 1989.... The guitar solo at the beginning is INCREDIBLE. ❤❤❤
Yesssssss
Awesome like hell
It's their most iconic song... nothin really matters...
It's even more poignant when you realise Freddie died on 24th November 1991 - exactly 10 years after this performance ( (24th / 25th November1981).
Bohemian Rhapsody is like a "premonition" from its 1975 release to what Freddie will be in 1991...so sad.
I think you both would really like Dragon Attack. Great driving beat & great performance…
QWEEN is LEGENDARY
Tienen que seguir reaccionando a queen!! Les quedan tanta música hermosa pro descubrir ❤
Yea!!! Thanks for more Queen and your Reacton..Love It!
Hope and pray you watch Freddie doing Opera with Montserrat Caballe " BARCELONA " it'll blow you Away 🙏❤

John Deacon wrote a beautiful song called ONE YEAR OF LOVE...Freddie really killed it, check it out
Official video is better, but to see Freddie & the gang perform this masterpiece live was a life-altering experience.
The great entertainer
Me and my daughter sing this together in the car whenever it comes on
You are correct about all of this. So many people get it all wrong!

He is singing about a soldier in vietnam. Thats why he said I killed somebody.
Oh yeah baby man
Second time I have put your Chanel on and I can’t stop laughing at both of your reactions 😂😂😂😂
Love the T shirts but should be a Queen shirt Greatest band of all time & Freddie is the GOAT
If you haven’t seen it you should check out their Live Aid performance.
Mel when you gonna do a video of you singing your favourite songs.?
Y’all have a great spirit
New subscriber here I've been binge watch you today and I love your energy and respect for all the bands you react to ...you're good people ❣️🤗

Days of our lives his last video
💞💞💞
You really need to watch the movie Bohemian Rhapsody if you haven't yet, awesome movie
You should check out queen No one but you..it has Brian rodger and John in it written or released in 1997
If you think that this is good you should review “somebody to love” live from Montreal in 1991. You’re welcome ☺️
Your comment shocked me since I always thought Freddy died in the 80s. I will go check this out ASAP!!
Don’t really like it when people just appreciate the front man and not really acknowledge the rest of the band. I mean roger, Brian and John were equally amazing and made the songs what they were
The song was about how he explained to his Mom that he had AIDS
Awesome reaction if you want to listen to a tribute to Freddie there's a song by queen called " no one but you" be warned tho you'll need tissues ✌✌

Fun fact Brian May didn’t use a guitar pick he used a sixpence something equal to a dime
Pentatonix did a worthy tribute. You should check it out.
Freddie Mercury had more range because he was born with four additional incisors teeth. That's why he never changed his teeth.
🤘🏻😎
He was born Zanzibar , Tanzânia, África.
I think there’s so many ways interpret this song people can look at somebody young taken in life but I always wonder if it has something to do with him talking about his aids and it’s open to interpret if that makes sense
You know guys there is no school for being famis and that is the bottle neck in all of it but they have done good man

Y'all ain't seen nothing yet. Chwck out 1981 Somebody To Love live Montreal. Then 1985 Live Aid Concert.
The man Freddie says I killed a man. Wasvin fact Freddie himself. When he changed his sexual preference.
