Great day for Marc, he's right there on race pace, and up there on time attack, despite only riding the GP23 for 3 days, after 11 years of riding a Honda which is the complete opposite. In Valencia he was given the GP22.
Bear in mind the track was well rubbered in and the conditions were perfect, and riders had 3 days to set their bikes up. So when it comes down to a normal race weekend where the track is green and riders don't get time to set their bikes up, Marc will be right up there fighting for poles and wins.
Gonna be a great season ahead. The fastest ever, the best ever, the GOAT! #MM93 Haters gonna hate.

That's what conventional wisdom tells us. He took a year to get used to the Moto2 bike too. All that said, his testing times are impressive. It's not like all the other riders weren't riding under the same conditions and being that close as a rookie with only the Valencia test under his belt is still remarkable.

Just listen to the recent Carl Fogarty interview, about Marlboro and Kenny Roberts, that's the sort of sh*t the plagues motorcycle racing...the World will never know what Foggy could have done on a Works Yamaha.

Okay. I won't argue against the weird shit that goes down politically in the series, but he didn't cheat his way to setting a lap that would have qualified on pole in last years race.
*I also just found what I was looking for, the official lap record is 1'57.491, so on his second event on a MotoGP bike, he broke the old lap record. That's worth paying attention to.

I realized the younger riders fabio, enea,martin pedro dont hang their butt too far off the seats but their upper body hang outside(inside) of the bike more to get their shoulder closw to the floor

Went to my first gp last year and it was mind blowing. Hearing the moto2 bikes being started and warmed up was ridiculous. If you haven't been to a gp, GO
you really notice the grade A footage and editing without music or commentary. really shows the bikes and riders off
