It’s not really Easter yet, but it wouldn’t be much help to you if I posted this next week, would it? These are all brand new recipes you’ve never seen before on my channel. While they’re still traditional holiday foods, they’re quite a bit different than most of the recipes I’ve shared in my other holiday dinner videos. And I agree we need to be aware and understand the Jewish faith, when we do it just deepens our understanding of our Christian faith. We attended church with our oldest daughter and her husband this am and it was such a beautiful and meaningful service. I read the book of Esther today, as so many years before. Many Christians don't realize God commanded it to be read annually, and it's so packed full of courage & wisdom, I can see why he said it.

Just made the grape salad. Carrots in the crockpot. Ready for the ham and green beans. Subbing rosemary and garlic mini red potatoes for the pineapple dish though. Bringing it over for my folks to enjoy after a short stint in the hospital. Happy Easter, Mel!

I get that ham often but Ive found I like the one that isnt presliced. It is much better to me and more moist. Just has a better flavor to me. Enjoyed your video as always!!!

You're so welcome, to me it made sense. We enjoy some of the same recipes for lots of different holidays. Casseroles are great for large family gatherings and most can be made ahead of time saving me time to enjoy church, family, and the things that really make the holidays special.
That pineapple dish is ALWAYS on our Easter table. It’s delish with ham.

Everything looks so delicious Mel! I would be okay with extra cream cheese in the grape salad and I’ve never thought to cook my glazed carrots in the crockpot I’ve always made them on the stove or in the oven. Perfect ham and green beans! I usually drizzle on some raspberry vinaigrette over my green beans but I will definitely be trying this one! Thanks for sharing, God bless! 💕💕

I love Waldorf salad, which is grapes, apple chunks, raisins( I use white raisins) chopped walnuts and a dressing of mayo ,sour cream, orange juice concentrate hmm I think that's all

Every dish always looks so good. One day I'm going to try this green bean recipe and definitely the grape sald, but for Easter it's going to be your greenbeans recipe we'll have. I've tried a pineapple Casserole, at one of our dinners at church but I didn't care for it. So I'm sticking with the sweet potato Casserole. When I used to work I had dealings via phone with a lady from Massachusetts, quite often, she said she combined sweet potatoes and pineapple in her Casserole. It sounded good but I never tried it. Hey ~ I've got a good idea, how about you making it on your channel?

We have been making green beans that same way forever. It’s kind of Italian style. We add chopped garlic from the jar or sliver fresh garlic and add fresh chopped parsley more toward the end. This can be done on stove in a frying pan or cooked in water and then add stuff or in oven. Some of us serve it cold. It’s great. Great as a summer side dish to your carb. I like to use the fresh green beans but have done can. Both are fine. I don’t like the frozen beans. Never cook the way I want the consistency.

I’m from the Midwest and my mother has made this grape salad for years! She uses powdered sugar instead of regular sugar. One of our family favorites! Thanks for sharing.

I always chuckle when southern cooks think some of their dishes only get cooked in the south. Not so, however, it is true southern dishes are sweeter than elsewhere. I love grape salad and pineapple casserole but they’re almost too sweet for my taste. I always cut the sugar! Your dishes were beautiful, as usual. Thx for the video!

We have been making the pineapple casserole for over 20 years. Leave out all that flour and use half the sugar. and we also use tidbits , This recipe came with my crock pot in the book. and we poured butter on top after we put the Ritz crackers on
Great tip! I am for sure using the tidbits next time. It was delish but I think I prefer the small pieces as well.

Just wanted you to know that I found your little fireplace on Amazon. In case some of your other subscribers, wanna know where it’s at it was $20. Absolutely love it or should say loved it as my grandson decided he needed to take it to keep it in his bedroom at night.😂

I’ve lost or misplaced your regular recipe for canned green beans. All I can remember is that they have brown sugar in them and you cook them down until the liquid is evaporated. They are the best I’ve ever had. Can you share the recipe again please and thank you.
Oh yes, you need that for Easter. It's just adding some kind "grease" like oil, butter, or bacon grease and salt, pepper, brown sugar, Worcester sauce, and chopped bacon (I use the real bacon pieces like you use on salads) enjoy

Can't do pork, will lamb work?
Honestly, I don't have any experience with lamb. It's just not anything I've ever cooked with but I just can't imagine that this wouldn't be delicious on lamb as well. Thanks for watching and let me know how it turns out if you make it with lamb.

The point is it's hands off, not taking up stovetop or oven space when you're trying to finish up other dishes.
