I love the way you reiterate things that you want your students to learn and understand along with pointing out problems that can occur, why they happen and how to solve the problem. It's refreshing to have a teacher who shows how to learn and be successful with cheaper products for the beginner. Not everyone has the ability to go out and invest hundreds of dollars on products not knowing if they'll even enjoy watercolor.

As of this past weekend I finally have everything, I just need some free time (which is hard to come by working 7 days a week) so I can put brush to paper. I’ve watched 3 of the 6 Modules and I’m very happy with them. I’m quite excited to get to the next steps which will get me actually painting but at the same time, I feel nervous about doing it! My mom’s birthday is May 11th and I’ve committed myself to painting a floral birthday card (like in Shayda’s recent video) for her (she’s an artist so she’ll really love it) so that is my motivation to conquer that fear! Oh my God! Yes! When you announced this course I was thinking "this is for me!" I really, really want to do this e-course! If I sign up, will you be telling us what we exact products we should buy?
There's is a PDF that comes with the course and it includes a shopping list of brushes, paints and paper. We also do a whole module on just supplies (visit my website to read the entire E-Course syllabus before you buy) 😊 But I do try to link all those supplies in my UA-cam videos as well, just check the video description.
Maybe mask out the flower areas with masking fluid, paint a wash of background color and when that's dry, rub off the masking fluid residue and then paint the white flowers. This way they would be whiter than the paper ( background ) color..
From now on when you say 'shade' you have to say 'shayda' instead. Eg: "To make the white leaves pop, you can use a darker color to shayda around them"
I love this tutorial! You're a great Teacher, Shayda. My Mum loves daisies and I'm planning to create a daisy bouquet painting for her for Christmas. But I'm having trouble trying to paint coloured daisies. I would think the technique required would be different. Might i suggest coloured daisies for your next tutorial? Much love from Malaysia ❤

Sooo I’m just a little confused... I just purchased your E-course, and the videos you have on the e-course are on here for free on UA-cam... I understand you have the intro videos only on the e-course but the “how to’s” are free on UA-cam... I’m confused as to what I paid for when you have pretty much what you have on the E-course here on UA-cam.
Good tutorial. However I have an issue with the way you hold your brush. Not the conventional way to hold either a brush or pen. I find that younger people do this and I wonder if you were taught that way in school. Your art is good. It just bothers me to see how you hold the brush.
I completely agree. Her art and video content is stellar but that grip is cringe-worthy and I find I can barely focus on anything else. She does sometimes hold the brush correctly, so not sure why she doesn't always.

Beautiful work as always. Just, regarding floral composition, bigger flowers should go at the bottom so the arrangement will be more balanced.
