Those bodies look amazing and my hat is off to the painters as those are all some very well done paint jobs!! I am sucker for the old drip paint jobs anyways, you know you are a pro racer when you have the drippy paint scheme! I miss BK! Thank you a ton for talking about our channels! You are right, it is a ton of work and a ton of money but I have also met some really great folks and have a wonderful community over here that I love chatting with! everyone has been so supportive and makes it all fun and worth it! I am glad you liked the pens and stuff. I have always jumped from hobby to hobby over the years, I love finding new things to try. RC is the one that I always came back to though! Thank you again for your help and support, it really means a lot and it put a huge smile on my face for sure!!!
Truly believe that the cars come to you has happened to me more than once, also believe that if you miss one there will always be another. Great video!
The guy (Todd) who painted these rc 10 bodies is a good friend of mine from Pennsylvania. He has an entire hobby shop in his basement. I wish he would post it on UA-cam. It's incredible. Its like walking into an 80's hobby shop!
Parts, bodies, heavier side - love it all Keith. I appreciate you sharing these. What is the saying - when the student is ready, the feather will appear … so when the RC is ready to become part of the collection, Keith will appear. 😊😁 Great shoutouts and really learn a lot from Addam’s Playground & Iowa Budget RC Bashers. Wonderful channels. Have a great day and Happy Thanksgiving.
Wow these are incredible I didn't know much about these back in there days but I see alot of big channels and collectors and there sure rare thanks for sharing Keith 👍
Those bodies look great! I have one gold pan rc10 I got from a coworker that had it as a teenager. Nice to have one in my little collection. I had to get a replacement body but overall it’s in good shape
@@rcicons4915 im the same, never had one before. I went to buy a second hand one back in the day, it sold that morning. But the shop had just got the tomy intruder in. So i took one of them home instead 😎
Hi Kieth, I am surprised you are not a fan of the RC10. This car stormed the racing scene. I am not a huge racing guy but this car was just revolutionary. At the time the RC10 was released, all of the great R/C cars were made in Japan. However, the RC10 was made in the USA and it was an amazing car. The best Japanese drivers in Japan started racing RC10s as well. If you are an R/C car collector you need to get a nice example of an RC10. They are hard to get because most of these cars were used and enjoyed. What is even more interesting, the rerelease RC10 kits are now selling for crazy money. Not sure why? Thoughts?
Because associated said they will never release them again. Believe me, I know the cars pedigree. Still does nothing for me. I did not grow up a racer. I was a backyard basher. Don’t get me wrong, I respect what associated was able to do, just not going to go pay stupid money for the original version when I already have an original gold pan championship edition and original nib worlds. That is good enough for me. Yokomo dominated the 4 wheel drive side and I am not chasing those down either. Just comes down to preference I guess. No disrespect for the car itself, associated or other collectors around the world. I pay crazy money for ayk boost cars, kits. Others could care less about those and that’s ok. We all have a love for the hobby itself but our tastes will always differ. You never say never in this hobby though. I once said I would never buy a Striker or Sonic fighter and now I have 4. Lol
Again, thank you so much Keith.. we’ll hopefully be getting the clod done by the end of the weekend, then it’s Grayson’s turn to build his Rising Fighter, while I start restoring “Pinky” 😁
Hey Kieth, love your channel! Thanks to watching Glen over the years I found your channel. I love building and working on rc’s but never been a fan of painting the bodies as I’m just not very good at it. Any chance you can send me Todd’s contact info. I tried finding him on eBay but didn’t have any luck.
I think the prices of the Yokomo YZ10's have become stupid to be honest. If I ever sell a car I always sell it for a reasonable normal price. The way the vintage market has gone has become all about greed. I have always wanted one of those cars since 1989 but they are way out of what I can afford. The more it goes down this road the less I want to be involved in the hobby frankly. Nice video thought thanks for sharing. This is not a criticism at you personally Keith.
@@rcicons4915 This is why I am in favour of re-releases. Sadly, Yokomo do not seem to want to go down this road. It's a shame and just further empowers scalpers.
@@tomhunter3075 I am obviously a huge collector. I have original cars and kits that that have not been rere and I have them that have. I have spent a lot on the original non rere kits. Fantastic shout out to the smaller channels Keith, I really wish more of the bigger UA-cam channels would do this, it helps them out so much.
Everyone regardless of size is working so hard.
Some great quality body work there. I love the community spirit between RC channels, amazingly positive vibes!
It is awesome. The community I mean.
I love how much you give to the hobby out of the kindness of you heart. Keep up the good work.
Thank you
That Yokomo now looks incredible my friend 😍
Lovely touch mentioning those two channels 😇👊🏻
Thanks buddy

Todd is a good guy. Happy to have 3 of his bodies.
Yes he is! We worked together for several years in NC then he moved back to PA! 😔 He very meticulous and an artist! Love the channel man!
What's Todd's eBay name? I'd like to order a Kinwald painted body from him. Thanks!

But your right . I found my ninja 😎
Awesome. Glad to hear it.
Fantastic stuff again Keith! RC is definitely one for all and all for one spirited full stop!

Very cool as always, I agree I believe that the right cars will present themselves eventually for some reason as soon as you stop looking for them lol
It absolutely happens
Yes, I watch Adam's channel. Also a neat guy. I think Associated did it right doing there first chassy gold. Because now, yep there're golden.
Thanks.
They are almost worth their weight in gold now. Rc10 market is crazy now.

Bodies look great 😊 Unfortunately I never got an RC10 before prices went crazy.
My championship I was able to land for $300. I thought that was decent for the condition and being original.

Keith what is a general price range for a prepainted body?
The range can be wide. Full custom they are now over $200.
