Ah mate that is an awesome bit of kit. Really looking forward to your build of this ! The interview with Alby was also very enlightening as to his passion for this kit and his eye for both detail and functionality. All we need know is for him to go get 400 tonnes of clay and rebuild Taunton race track where we used to race with him and his lads !. Enjoy it I know you will !
We are aware that this is a significant investment. We issue the authentication certificates to protect that investment for each owner. We have already seen standard YZ10 entered as YZ10R’s.
Beautiful kit. I’d love to see Alby design and build something all brand new that’s not loosely based on something from the past. For something less complicated maybe try 2WD first. It’s crazy how similar a B7, LD3 and SO 2.0 are. Given his re-engineering background it would be interesting to see something truly brand new in the 2WD space
To old🥴 I also need to believe in what I am doing. I absolutely love the 95 car, so this is a passion project for me. It is also a travesty that the original cars are not raced because of their value and lack of spare parts. Now we have made these parts for the YZ10R, and YZ10.
@@AlbySmith-q6r thanks for the reply! This kit looks like a labor (labour) of love. I think the same can be said with the RC10 40th Anniversary kit. When AE did their last re-re the market really wasn’t as ripe for re-re’s. 80’s kids are now approaching 50years old and some of us want something to do. For Associated not to be all over doing spare parts really stinks, but it’s nice to have FanRC making parts at a reasonable cost. You are so right that 3D printing has come a long way. I wish the average consumer understood how to distinguish though. I recently bought a bumper for a classic RC10 that was a copy of the RPM bumper. When I received it the silly thing crumbled like one of the Italian coffee wafers.
Two companies on my radar that I am keeping an eye on currently that are doing some really interesting stuff are: Rubrix Racing Products and Nemo Racing. I just placed a deposit for the Nemo Racing N110 race buggy due Q4 2024
With the 93WCS, 94,95 & 97 YZ10R's. Absolutely zero parts are available. To keep this car racing, you are left with little alternative but to embrace modern technology.
Such a great looking buggy, they fly out on the track. Looking forward to seeing the build and it hitting the track. Hopefully one day i’ll be able to save up for one again. Just need all the must have rere’s to stop coming 😂
Absolutely fantastic when raced. I would love to be able to say it is all down to the YZ10R, however much of the car success is down to the drivers. That said, the YZ10R responds well to setup changes and steering input on track, jumps far better than the standard YZ10’s and is able to manage the power of low wind motors that other vintage struggle with. Without this, it would simply be a very ordinary car..
Thank you for your positive message. The YZ10R kits will be in production for around 18 months. After this time, I am completely retiring😁Spares backup will be managed by VRS.
There will be plenty of people in the queue before us. You would be surprised how little protection manufacturers have. Yokomo are simply not interested, and neither are other manufacturers.
As they've said all along it isn't for everyone, but for others they see the value and appeal in owning one..... It's all relative, people will spend £1000's on gold speaker cables when their hearing isn't good enough to notice the difference but if it's what they want then who are we to say it's not worth it?

Let me think about that one😏
What a piece of art, it's just so beautiful ❤
This is just next level stuff here 😮❤
Congrats on being one of the 27 chosen few.
Who r the rest ?
@@paullewis7480 26 other people, I guess?
Nobody is chosen. Come up with the cash and you can be number 28.
@@briana2137 We are now in the mid 30's.
Im honestly jealous. What an amazing rc car. Once in a lifetime build
Thank you.
I’m not normally a jealous person but here I am😂
Very muck looking forward to the vicarious build and drive experience!
That’s totally amazing
That's an amazing piece of kit, would really like to build that one. Body looks awesome too. 😊😊😊😊😊
Thank you. Its certainly a labour of love.
How cool is that, manufacturer gives a personalized certificate of authentication. I can't wait to get one of those kits.
Xray gives you a cert

It's so cool 🤩🤘🤘
Nice kit, but cant see anywhere i can purchase one? Also how much are they ? No prices available?
Try the video description for links and also the comments section for prices as this has been covered a few times 👍🏻
I’m surprised there aren’t more boutique RC cars around! 😁

They do exist. However, many use parts that will never grace our cars.....
Ok yes
🤤🤩🤤🤩. Awesome kit!!
Thank you.
As the Nerd Crew would say: “VERY cool!”
looks great just never been a fan of 3d printed stuff in that finish
As long as you use the correct density when printing they should be good.

Hi Gav, can you provide us with the information where to buy such a car. Thanks in advance Tino
Will there ever be another batch of those? Would love to support.

How is this the most exclusive if the Hirosaka MX4 is 2300$ ?
ONLY sales in UK 🤔😕
nothing justifies the price 😏
But £1650 Whaaaaaaaat 😲😲😲
Were you being invaded by the mysterions gav? Lighting issue on the box m8 lol😅
What's the price of this
£1650.00
Only one kidney or your first born, quite a deal
Beautiful but waaaay out of my price range
agreed ,thats over $3000 Aud for oz and considering the way things are in the world lately cant justify that price
By the time you spec a 4wd buggy like that you are well over the cost here IF the hardware is titanium and bearings are ceramic.

Your too quick for me bud.
I hope hes charging enough for the when Yokomo decides they have had enough of him using their trademarked property.

Too expensive and I don't think that it is worth for that price.
Agreed Waaaay over priced , that works out to over 3 grand Oz dollars
