- i'd started this in July after s6, made some edits to the draft post s7, and then intended on fully rendering each frame, but time was just never on my side this entire time! so for #No4forLotor on Twitter (Nov. 4), here's a sketch draft of something I may finish later on.

Why focus on Lotor when we could redeem his shit ass parents? It's not like they systematically wiped out entire races and planets for ten thousand years...oh, wait. Well, we still can't be too nice to Lotor. He allowed some of his own to die in order to save countless more....once. And I know it's never explained how this saved others, how it came to be/ended, gave any pov whatsoever from the people directly involved or let us hear Lotor's full side of the story. In fact, it's never brought up again but don't think about that. Here...take a scene of his decomposed corpse that his loving mom has been dragging around. Fuck you. Uh, I mean.... thanks for watching!

The imagery at 0:43 fucks me up so much. I can’t properly articulate the emotion that comes up, but I do know it’s entwined heavily with sympathy for Lotor.
This whole video is great, though, the ending is just beautiful.
im still sooooo salty about what the show did with Lotor. He had so much potential for redemption but nooo let's just make him another villain the heroes had to kill off. Honestly, he had so much good in him, he only needed some love and guidance. I feel like if the heroes tried convincing him to see the errors of his ways and to stop doing evil stuff he may have actually changed but they never gave him a chance!
And yet this is not the ending we got...a damn shame...

I honestly don’t care anymore if he could have gotten with Allura if he lived. I would’ve just been happy he lived. The day I watched Lotor’s death, let me tell you, I b r o k e. I was a complete mess because Lotor is honestly one of most well written characters I’ve seen. And the ending he got was definitely one he did not deserve. He deserved to live. And that’s that.
Same and it was little after I had just gotten a very important surgery as well and me crying in my hospital bed was not good at all💀

Crying inside and out while you ripped me (and my heart) out of my art block ;__; wow... are there enough words to describe this incomprehensible beauty and pit of tumultuous emotions?!! I felt every flickering contemplating emotion in Lotor, his face contorting from insanity to his old sane self. The conflicting feelings of satisfaction of achieving his vision to help (some may debate that with reasonable reasons to) the galaxy and his people, Galra and Altean, the stabbing accusation from the person he loves, emotionally open and vulnerable to and then the damning words spoken to him of being compared to the person he loathed most, by her of all people, flicking the switch of insanity and agony and unbridled anger. He's lost and in anyone's reasonable mind... gone forever. But despite the chances, there's this tiniest of glimmer of hope, promising redemption, perhaps, and atonement... he can and I hope he finds his way back to the light. Through the same person who's pointed the accusing finger at him, suffered and gave him hope. I love this. You are talented and this is absolutely incredible and goals!! Keep up the amazing work Kimi 😭💕
