Group Dynamics: How is power obtained and used in groups?

This is the eighth lecture in a series of senior level undergraduate lectures on group dynamics that I created and have been teaching for many years. What kind of an effect does power have on our behavior? What are the different bases of power and what are the effects of each on group behavior? We'll explore the Milgram studies that set the stage for our current understanding of power dynamics and then dive into how all of these power processes unfold in group settings.
