This match perfectly showcases why t8 Steve sucks. Endless rush down attack is the name of the game and in such a game a counter punch paragon with barely 1 Ch launcher really puts Steve in the bottom tier along with his fleabite hardest execution lowest damage combos.
Notice how Reina keeps attacking while Steve has to just take it and wait his turn. With all these patches you'd think that element of the meta would change but nope. Spam and win.

But then again that's also just how Reina works. Her pressure is pretty insane so I'd imagine any character that doesn't have evasive stances or built-in defense in their attacks is also gonna have to wait for their turn
@@h.t.8710 Thats exactly why pressure type characters like Dragunov and Feng are at the peak of the meta right now. Now I'm not saying that they should change how Steve works but literally the only thing why he sucks is because they removed his CH tools which were core part of his identity

The solution is simple Don't pick Steve because he sucks. Even knee knows it he is just experimenting.
People keep making that adapting excuse….The game has been out for some time now. He’s been to 5+ big events. Let’s just admit our lord and savior Knee is no longer the Knee we know from prior Tekken. Still a great player though, but i actually think age might get to him and affect his cognitive abilities. It’s very real out here.
