This is awesome, but I feel like we are at that point of diminishing returns when it comes to graphical upgrades. Gone are the days of SNES to PS1 to PS2 jumps.
Seems we are still FAR away from photo realism in games. This looks nice but it's not really a big step from the visuals that we already know in games. It still looks like a game, not like realism. I've seen more realistic looking game footage by the way. My guess is we still need another 10 years until games really look like reality. For VR maybe even more because of the immense hardware power that is needed.

No need to be so pessimistic. Bodycam showed us already photorealism in an actual released game.
Unreal Engine has to be one of the worst things in gaming, horribly optimized
