His magazine is very nice and great stories. I got a free copy at TRE. I don’t look at the brands sponsoring to be honest. I thought podcasts make money from kickbacks on discount codes. I think important to tell viewers why partners change. You changed from the Japanese hydration pack company and the previous nutrition partner without any explanation in my listening experience. It had me wondering if their products were not so good anymore or if new partners just had a better deal for Freetrail. It is best to disclose these brand change reasons to listeners. They may be just ads but I value opinions of experienced pros in the sport
Hey look! I made it to the end... so I commented. Seriously. This was a good episode. Recently I've been considering a rebrand of my social media.... as I realize I really hate posting on social media. The algorithm doesn't fit my personality. Long form content feels right to me. I recently subscribed to LtW. Great product. Honestly, I had no idea there were "ads" in the magazine. The partnership articles flow excellently with the other stories. Thanks to SN I'm taking mental notes about recent product purchases and I'll say, they would not translate to a metric a company can measure. I subbed to LtW because I really liked Simon's story. I just purchased a bag of Hyperlyte drink mix because I like Matt Daniel's story. They actually sent a personalized post card with my purchase! Chris Thornley took time to have a 30 minute conversation on the phone with me about Squirrel Nut Butter. I have more examples. Point being, I'll probably run away from a brand if there is not a compelling story, a personal touch and saying that, i feel it can be a lever challenger brands can pull faster than the establishments.
Thank you so much for supporting LtW - we value every subscription more than you can know. It means the world to us. If you ever have a comment or idea please drop us a line and one of the (small) team will be back in touch.
Thanks for sharing this - you articulated how so many of us feel about this topic: it's hard to measure the stuff that REALLY matters. Thanks for watching this week's episode (and commenting at the end, too) - we're glad you're here!
Tremendous episode guys! I’m so glad i’ve found you guys, these are the best pods in the business.
Thank you so much!
