This was at Budokan. Budokan was the martial arts arena for the Tokyo Olympics. Budo is grape in Japanese. That's why the grape man :) This is their version of Limp Bizkit. You're not dissing them to say it's Limp Bizkit. Fred Durst is sampled in the song and appears in pictures in intros of this song sometimes. It's an intentional imitation of Limp Bizkit.
Japanese Idol groups have subunits. Black Babymetal is (was) a subunit of Babymetal. Babymetal started as a subunit of an Idol Group called Sakura Gakuin. Su, Moa and Yui all performed with Sakura Gakuin. If you want to see that I recommend 'Verishuvi'. That is the least terrible Sakura Gakuin song. It's fairly terrible. There is also Suzuka Nakamoto's previous group 'Karen Girls'. Their song 'Over the Future' is very important to the history of Babymetal. Suzuka was 10/11 years old at that time. She was the youngest member.

'Onedari Daisakusen' is about sweet talking Dad (and Mom, but mostly Dad) into buying them things.
The lyrics really have to be interpreted through the lens of a little kid.
BTW, that's Su on the backing track. This song could even be described as "Onedari Daisakusen by Black BABYMETAL - FEAT. Su-metal". : )
After an almost five year break, they brought this song back for two of the ten 2021 Budokan concerts.
In that version, Moa played the part of an older girl instructing her little sisters how to sweet talk their parents into buying them stuff.
I thought that was a great way to revisit a song that they had grown out of.
Not sure it was ever officially explained, but Black BABYMETAL songs tend to be heavier, and Yui and Moa are often turned to the dark side in the kamishibai (picture story narrations) that introduce those songs.
Of course it's also a play on the Black Metal genre.

Some people think that Yui and Moa are just dancers in BabyMetal. Here we can witness that they are not just dancers, they can sing and dance, they are the other side of BabyMetal. Their performances are as shiny as Su's but very different.

This song is about young girls using their cuteness and wiles to get money out of dear old dad. The lyrics are a hoot (if not a bit on the dark side as well).
Glad you enjoyed it. BabyMetal uses rap and hip hop more than once in their song catalog with the most amazing example being BxMxC LIVE (Suzuka Nakamoto could teach rappers around the world a few lessons)

Great reaction. 'Onedari Daisakusen' - Black Babymetal at their most kawaii - Big Operation Beg Dad For It, using All the tricks they can think of to get Dad to buy them ALL the shiny and delicious things.
The "Black" in Black Babymetal is probably related to the kamishibai (intro narrations as this one had) that they would play before their performances, most see to have them being tempted by something and becoming a little bit "dark" so Su would have to do something later in the show to snap them out of it.
With this one there was a time when fans would print bank noted in the local currency of wherever they were playing, but with the faces of the Babymetal girls on. They would hand wads out to fans waiting in the queues outside before the shows and, at just the right moment in this song, all the bank notes would be thrown and fired up into the air like confetti.

This song is the very first BabyMetal song I've ever heard. And these two little girls make me love BabyMetal and Kami Band. There is also a "legend 1997" version of this song. They perform in costumes like Santa Claus. You can check it out. They only wear cute hoodies when they perform the song. 😄

Cool you're giving a chance to Black Babymetal, not "black metal". This is a rush of evil kawaiiness from YuiMetal and MoaMetal, they said the subgroup was created to challenge themselves to rap while making a social reform with their songs.🤘
The _kamishibai_ or narration at the beginning tell the little story related to Budokan, the venue were they are performing, by bringing a fictional character called "Budo-man" which means grape-man, is a play words just like usual on BabyMetal. The story tells about Black Babymetal being trick and take them to evil side, normally that evil side is idol pop side lol but later on they've been rescued by SuMetal our queen.
Onedari Daisakusen, Operation Beg Dad For It, is a song about how little girls can trick their parents, especially daddy, into buying what they want utilizing their charming and kawaii weapons, and oh boy they can win me with that anytime. lol
We even got a Fred Durst shout right before the breakdown.
This is the only Black Babymetal song technically with all the girls involved actually, because SuMetal made the backing track voices, there's a live show with SuMetal playing her role as a DJ on this song but we only got a fancam with that unique moment.

For the record there is no fancam of Su-metal's single appearance in Onedari Daisakusen (for a small birthday concert of hers ). There is only a mashup video using the fan audio - which we do have - over video from a different show.

Definitely a Limp Biskit sound to the song. If you want to listen to another Black Babymetal song, I would recommend Sis Anger. I love that song so much. It has a heavier sound.

you have got what makes Babymetal different than any other metal band. they are just fun. it makes you happy. yes there are some songs that have deep meanings but most are just fun. i have been a fan since 2013 and i have to listen to Babymetal every day. it makes me feel good. this song shows that things that should not be together Baymetal takes it to another level, makes it theirs and you have a very fun song that is not suppose to work but it does because it is Babymetal. lol

Great stuff Black BABYMETAL are brutal. The sweetest little girls in the world but brutal. The idea behind the song has been explained. They are awesome. Moa has done this a couple of times as a solo performance and she absolutely nails it. Great fun.

Moa explained Black Babymetal in an early interview as the combination of Rap and Black metal, whilst making society a better place.
The 4 existing Black Babymetal songs tend to be on the heavier side of things, which is unreal when you combine it with the cuteness overload from Yui and Moa.
Moa performed two of them last year at the 10 Budokan shows (one was OD, and it was even more kawaii!). I think it is time for more Babymetal!

This is an another charm that BM has, forbidden and devilish cute one. I became a big fan of BM after watching this song and 'Headbangeeeerrrr' live video. I was the one who never listened to any idol songs of Japan, hahaha. I believe 'Black BABYMETAL' would mean 'backside BABYMETAL'. Yes, I think it balances beautifully with Su-'s solo songs, and you are also great to take a good balance of both. But unfortunately, Yui left and this unit is no longer active. Oh, at 5:46 Yui's facial expression kills me!
The intro's pictures show, in rough summary by me, is 'Yui & Moa, who were so excited to watch the anime "Happy Grape (Budo) Man" in Akiba, the city of the electric brains, and met real Grape (Budo) Man at the "Budo"kan, famous for its a glowing onion..., no, but famous for grapes (budo) in this case. And ate his grapes of happiness. Then they transformed themselves into "Black BABYMETAL" and began "Operation begging for Dad"...'
When I first listened to this song, I also wondered why two adorable girls would sing in a dark tone like Limp Bizkit. But when I checked the lyrics, I was surprised twice. I was also convinced of the intention of the arrangement, and that's how I got hooked on the fox swamp deeply. And now I have arrived at 'Sakura Gakuin'. @@autohmaeI don't love Perfume either, but I respect them. We have not many Japanese idol groups like Perfume that have been active and popular for more than 10 years without any changes in members. The genius Yasutaka Nakata's concept is amazing, though. However they compete with their own singing and dancing, and they are very professional. They are from Hiroshima and are truly BM's (Su-'s) big sisters, right?
I would like their 'Chocolate Disco' live (Ah-chan's screamings) and 'Tokyo Girl' live...

The first time we saw this, when my wife first saw Yui and Moa rise up through the stage, she immediately gripped my upper arm and said she wanted one of those jackets. I think she searched for a full week before deciding that they were probably custom made for the girls.

I'm too old for angry music all the time. Babymetal is perfect for older metal fans. It's still heavy but it's fun. Also it's a very high quality product.

Nice reaction. Black Babymetal having a blast on stage. They have just four songs. Including a song called "Four No Uta". Sis Anger and GJ are their other songs. Since Yui left Moa has done GJ the most as solo songs. She did this song for the 10 years of Babymetal at the Budokan. Moa had her own dancers Sisterbones. They haven't appeared with Babymetal in sometime. The hardcore fans tend to sing Yui's parts when Moa is doing these as a solo. Some of them are just singing all the lyrics as well. Fans Kawaiii. With a new album on its way we're very pumped up for Babymetal to break the seal and return to public life. Tour tour tour. Personally, I want to see them at Madison Square Garden. The place where legends have played. I'd be happy with Citifield too as it's close to me. Enjoy your journey through the Babymetal galaxy of music.

Most BABYMETAL songs don't need lyrics to really get the gist of the song, but this is an exception. If you can bring up the lyrics you'll get a laugh out of them for sure.

You just witness the Dynamic Duo of Yui and Moa. This song is so cute and badass. I absolutely love the beat and the girls are beyond adorable in it. Possibly my favorite of the 4 Black BABYMETAL song but all are different and great in their own way. Impossible not to smile in any of them. GJ is really good too. But you really can't go wrong with any of the 4. 🤘🦊🤘

I think 'Black Babymetal' is meant to be like 'dark Babymetal'; the lore videos at different shows talk about how they become corrupted by the evil idols, or by Lady Gaga (when they opened for her), or in this case, by the Happy Budo-man, which is of course a pun on the venue name (the Budokan). Don't spend a lot of time trying to figure out a plotline to the lore or anything; it's just there to make things more fun and 'mythic'-feeling. The BBM lore was usually coupled with lore about Su fighting to redeem them or whatever, since BBM songs and Su solos were usually performed back-to-back. I think the main underlying meaning behind the BBM lore is: this song is them being evil, so don't take these lyrics seriously. Makes sense for this one, since the lyrics are all about tricking dad into buying you things with childish flattery and sad puppy-dog faces.
If you want to do more BBM, my favorite is GJ!, though you'll have to work around copyright with a translucent logo or blur effect unless you want to watch a compilation. Same for Sis Anger; the only other BBM song with a full performance up on YT with no copyright issues is 4 no Uta, again from this show (Budokan Black Night). Honestly though, I'd rather see you check out more of them all together. If you do that, I'd suggest either Headbanger live at Legend 1997 or Catch Me If You Can live at Budokan Black Night (or Metrock 2015, as another commenter suggested; that one's up on the Babymetal Reactor Resource channel, and don't forget to check the description for a link to watch the video without the logo if you do that one).

- Catch me if you can - Budokan version is great cause of them using the stage for the choreo. The Metrock 2015 version from reactor resource is a daytime festival with a fantastic crowd!, both are great, both got a band intro!

so. the intro is about yui and moa being tempted by budo man's grapes (budo - grape in what i assume is older japanese. now they say gurepu which is just the english 'grape' in japanese phonetics). they want those grapes so badly they start begging him for more and more. onedari daisakusen is about begging their dad for sweets and cute stuff etc. just what girls want. the 4s reference to their other Black Babymetal song on the first album 4 no Uta.
later in BBM lore Sis. Anger and GJ! are introduced. the sweet but greedy girls end up corrupted by anger at the world for telling them what to do and what not do. as you noticed the song is inspired by limp bizkit. and the extra vocals in the background were actually recorded by su-metal. especially in the chorus. by the end of the song after the breakdown you can hear that the girls are tired. yui and moa were accused of lipsyncing their songs and this performance proves it wrong. they use it occasionally when they're doing harmonics to be able to focus on dancing and i dont blame them
on the first album they have two rappish tracks. onedari daisakusen and iine. but in iine the rap part isnt often done live, replaced by the crowd interaction. and the rap returned on the 3rd album in BxMxC (just bmc) and its done by su-metal.
actually Sis. Anger is their heaviest track with most 'rude lyrcis. (c'mon they yell the japanese word for asshole) but i don't know where the name Black Babymetal came
i recommend you to check out Catch Me if You Can. it has a kami band intro and lots of vocal from yui and moa. two best versions would be either Budokan Black Night or METROCK 2015 (an outdoor festival in Japan). tbh metrock is my favorite version
and tips on differentiating yui and moa. moa has a warmer, softer complexion, brownish black hair, warmer skin tone, smiles almost all the time and has dimples on her cheeks. yui on the other hand is very pale with contrasting black hair that is a bit stiffer. she smiles less and has a smaller mouth. their pigtails are also curled differently but you can only notice it when they're standing
You know, for a bit I was questioning if this was lip synced but I noticed at the end the vocals sounded strained by effort and realized it wasn’t. Glad you pointed that out.
@@BandsIKnow their voices have actually very little difference to the studio recordings so its often hard to guess unless you know what to look for. it is noticable when they sing when you're watching a whole concert as voices from track and live are different volumes. they don't sing in awadama fever at wembley and karate at tokyo dome (for the most part) for example.
@@abelgolds5939 Part of the reason it's hard to tell is because they don't sing _every_ line of OD live; that would be impossible with the dancing too. You can tell which lines are sung live and which are backtrack if you listen to OD from their 2015 show at Yokohama Arena, because the live singing and the backtrack are at different volumes.
And technically Yui and Moa did sing live at Wembley and TD, they just replaced the live audio for the bluray release for some reason. :( You can hear them singing live in fancams.

It helps to know that Yui and Moa wrote a song titled "Yon no Uta" or song of four (4). It was given a suitable arrangement and made into a Black Babymetal song. It also has a bit of reggae mixed into it. Hence the references in the text above.

The other 3 Black Babymetal songs are "Song 4", "GJ!" and "Sis. Anger".
"Song 4" was written by Yui and Moa after Su challenged them to write a song about the number 4, which is considered an unlucky number as it sounds close to the Japanese word for "death". Sis. Anger is probably their heaviest and darkest song of the four.

Onedari Daikasusen is one of 4 Black Babymetal songs, the others being Song #4 (4 na uta), Sis Anger and GJ! (Good Job). With the departure of Yui Metal sadly came the end of Black Babymetal.
Not to be that guy, but actually Moa performed GJ! and 4 no Uta by herself a few times in 2018 after Yui left, plus she did both GJ! and OD at the Budokan shows in 2021. They're (sadly) not a staple anymore though, which is probably what you meant.
