From what I've heard and experienced, as someone that has their ears pierced, you keep the original earrings in for a long period of time (no removing them, just cleaning around the area with alcohol), that way there isn't a chance for the hole to close up. After that, I'm pretty sure it's very unlikely for them to close up, because it has healed to form the hole. So to my experience, it's pretty reasonable that Jerry still has the earring holes without wearing them often.
I think over a really long time of not wearing earrings though the whole does shrink to basically closed, right? Like years and years of not wearing earrings. Also unless we're talking gauges then the wholes might never close due to the skin being permanently distended.
@@deadboob Pretty sure that can happen yeah. I mean I have a friend who got her ears pierced but had to stop wearing earrings after finding out she was allergic to basically all metals they're made from. I also think it depends on how long ago you got them pierced. Cause like obviously there's more of a chance for them to close if it was within a few years. Also how heavy the earrings you're wearing are. Cause if they're really heavy, like they dangle and stuff, or hoops, those kinds of earrings pull and open it up more I'm pretty sure. So after that as well it would be hard to permanently close, and you'd most likely still have like a mark or something on your ear from where they were pierced. Again, this is from personal experience and hearing from friends and family, so I'm not a completely accurate source. Also yeah, gauges are like a 100% not closing, cause that's like permanent stretch, not a small puncture.
I got my ears pierced and then had a really bad allergic reaction so I let them close, like 4-5 yrs ago and I still have the indent. It is closed but you can see the little dips.
My problem on why my ears closed with starter earrings (had to go to the ER because it closed with one still in my ear) is that I found out after 4 months that my ears are super sensitive. Meaning I needed expensive ones like soild gold or soild silver so I don't get an infection. I didn't know this at the time and I don't fault the person who piecerd my ears because how would they know if I didn't.
I have my ears pierced too, can confirm this is how it works. After a few months there is little chance it’ll close up again if it’s not left for like several years, though it can still happen. At least from my experience

At 21:08 when Pooki mentioned about "lying your age in person irl" I know that my mother did that when we as a family would go to restaurants and she would let the waiter/waitress that my sister was 13 or younger (even tho she wasn't) to eat off the kids meal since it was cheaper.

passing out and hitting your head is a common enough experience, i should think. the context is what makes for great stories.

Here’s an idea for never have I ever: Never have I ever but it’s alphabetical.
For example: Max would say “Never have I ever Ate a macaron”. Ross would then say “never have I ever Beaten mortal kombat” and so on.

I used to work at Ross too. I was a area supervisor. Everyone stole all the time. They would even make it noticeable on purpose also. Someone admitted to me they were going to take a bag full of stuff. Then they walked out

The gum pile reminded me of when I was in elementary we had a tree on the path between the middle and elementary that lead to the public library and it was called “The Gum Tree” and EVERYONE stuck their gum to it. I put one piece on it. RIP gum tree it got cut down 😔

Hey max im mexican and you should try this simple tortilla snack: you get a fork put a hotdog threw the fork and cook the weeny over an open fire like just over the stove and let the fire actually cook the weeny from the fork and it will start "popping" or what ever once you think it's cooked enough with a little bit of "burnt sides" you warm up a tortilla on top of the open fire again then wrap up the weeny with the tortilla and role it then boom easy snack also yeah instructions sounds like alot but it's very easy
I wanna say that Jerry is right about the tortilla and peanut butter, it's good, but even better when you add stuff like lunch meat to it
the difference between jelly, jam, and preserves lies in the method used to make it

Fully healed love piercings do not close up its really interesting actually im not entirely sure why they don't close either i just know that they dont because i barely where earrings and mine are still ooen

I actually have a sad tortilla story! One day I was at my friend's out and we decided to make quesadillas, we got the tortillas out and they started to precrisp them while I cut up and grilled the chicken.
When we got the chicken done, my friend went to grab it while I started on dishes, and she grabbed too far down the handle, touched the hot metal, and dropped the entire pan of chicken
We cleaned it up and were left with 2 perfectly crisp tortillas and no more chicken to make the rest of it, so we just ate the tortillas and ordered a pizza
I used to work at Goodwill, so I know exactly what Max is talking about. So many racks. Thousands upon thousands of hangers per store.

That bumper cars story reminded me of a time me and my brother stood in line for hours and it turned out you needed a driver's license to drive the bumper cars.

No they don't as long as you keep them clean. Yeah if you haven't wore them in a while you'll have to push the earring through but other than that they don't close

Hearing Ross mention "Earl" in 2024 caused a horrible, visceral reaction in my body and soul.
I went on a field trip to a museum when I was in elementary school, in the art exhibit someone was annoying me so I slapped them and got in trouble so I had to sit in time out for the rest of the field trip
On the subject of stealing, I accidentally stole my teacher's oatmeal spoon once and it got revealed to the entire art class. That was a fun day.

I pierced both my ears with a leather needle, ice cubes and an apple slice when i was 13 and im 24 now but ive gone multiple years at longest i think 4 years without having anything in my ears and the holes never closed but the backside of the left one somehow grew skin over the end so i still had the hole but i still had to poke a hole through the skin to get rhe peircing in

My father pierced his ears when he was in highschool because of his friends and for years as I've never seen him wore earrings but he still has the earring pierced hole so year the hole will stay even if you don't wear earrings often

Ear pieceing for me bad experience as a kid, they messed up doing my ears. One of me ears isn't even stright it's hard to even put an earring in that ear because it's not straight. Also I'm allergic to gold and silver only learned that was because I had earrings that were gold and silver, wearing it for longer then an hour start's to burn my ears.
