Honestly I cried during this video, not because I was sad but because it's so relieving to hear all this out in the open in one big chunky video. It's like seeing stuff I've already seen from a whole new perspective. He who shall not be named should not have been able to hold down people like that and stifle creativity, your content now is so refreshing and you can just tell how much happier you are.

I also wanted to add on when the drama was made public I wasn't on his side but, a part of me hoped that he would change for the better. (This went on in an unending cycle) When more truth about him unfolded and everyone shared the hardships they went through I cracked. It was one of the factors that partook to me going on auto pilot. (Months passed by within a blink of an eye, I don't recall any of it, I've been trying to get better and you guys helped me a lot.) For anyone seeing this that may think this is for pity or something like it, it's not.(This community is great) I just remembered that writing your experience and sharing them can help you go past them.

As a person who started watching Max and Ross AFTER the situation with sky happened. Can I just say that this is horrible and I cannot believe you had to put up with that for so long. “He who shall not be named” was my childhood idol. Hell, my username that I’ve had for over a decade is because of him. Watching him spiral out of control and seeing videos like this about how bad he has treated people who were suppose to be his friends makes me resent him. I also feel stupid for being manipulated into believing he was the victim until I realized he wasn’t the victim. As for the other “person” which shouldn’t be mentioned, he deserves to stay in jail
When y'all first left the office I believed what they were telling people about y'all. But when it kept on happening my eyes were opened to the problems that were constantly happening. I think we need to have taboo Tuesdays. I used to love watching the minecraft try not to laugh and the hide and seek vids, but once I learned the crap Max and Ross were getting. I stoped giving that guy views, and instead I just started watching Max's and Ross's videos. Im glad that you got to tell us more on the bull that they did to you guys. I would like to point out that honestly, I really wish that Barney was still a contact crater from what I've seen. He hasn't been on UA-cam for a very long time. I'm glad you guys made this video. I remember when I was a teenager, I would watch you and Ross when you worked at the office, and it was always, to me, the highlight of any video. So when I hear all the bad stuff that happened there, I didn't how to process it. I wanted to ask so many questions. And at the time, I didn't comprehend the boundary between content creator and fan. Over the years, I've come to realize how the internet, and the way we treat it, skewed my way of thinking. Everything that happened at the office was, and still is, not my business. While I still had questions, it wasn't my place to get involved. Doesn't help that I don't research HALF the information I have. I mainly got information only on UA-cam for the longest time. Long and short of it is this: I'm glad to know this information and get some closure from an unhealthy attachment I had so UA-cam, but I'm happier it was on your terms and not my own terms. Max, I have a few things to say (I know everybody seems to have a thing or two to say for everything, but I feel like I should): 1) your content with Ross here all the way back to your first appearances in the office were some of my favorite content growing up. You, Ross, and Barney were my three favorites of the office and sometimes the wacky of the wall comedy I needed when I was a kid (I had been bullied badly at that time and had some thoughts that no kid/anyone, especially one under 13 should feel about oneself), so you three and a few others made my days a little easier. 2) I’m sorry. I’m sorry for not backing you guys when you first left, at least not as much as I should have. I was a kid, barely even a teen when the things went down like that, so I thought it had been a more complicated situation and believed it to be mutual at first. And I didn’t try to ask more questions because my life had gotten a lot worse not too long after, but it’s no excuse for me not fully backing you guys or asking enough questions. In addition, while I was never one to believe that everyone in that office were best friends or anything like that (ex: *bleep*-bop always gave me the creeps and seemed like an ass, guess my gut was right at least once), I did believe for about a year to two years after you both broke off from the office that it was a simple falling out and work disagreement, and thus I fell awful for not trying to look deeper. I did realize a bit before the two year mark what the situation was closer to, but I believe that was too little too late on my part. Thank you for your time in reading this, your channel along with Ross have helped me recover from a lot. And thanks to your comedy and entertainment the last few years, I’ve been motivated enough to be top of my class senior year, and even be accepted on a scholarship to my first choice of college thanks to your guy’s ability to help me make my day a bit brighter. Thanks for listening and I hope you and Ross continue to make awesome content as well as be yourselves, after all you both are pretty great.

This is both incredibly satisfying to watch and also very sad. I grew up on the Butter Bastard, I was one of his OG followers, I was there for his mod showcases and adventure maps, I remember Team Crafted. I knew as I got older that things weren't as they seemed, but it wasn't until the Jinbop stuff that I knew something was seriously wrong. I wrote fanfics about the Offices, about dating the members and going to Ihop, makimg videos, having barbecues with everyone. But it's reading my old fanfics and seeing just how naive I was.
I didn't know until the most recent documents came out about Butter Bastard. In hindsight, I should have known since JinBop, but I naively thought "It's just one bad apple."

This video is a year old, so I'm mostly posting this because I want to express myself. Since this video was uploaded, it had brought me great comfort many many times. I'm not sure why I found this video comforting to me, maybe because you and ross are so genuine this episode and hearing you talk about your past rough situations has helped me get through mine. I downloaded this episode to an mp3 at one point because when I had nightmares or couldn't sleep from anxiety, putting my earbuds in and playing the recording of this video would help me sleep. I play your videos all the time while I play games or clean or work, but something about this video specifically has helped me so much. If you ever go back through old comments and see this, then I just wanted to say Thank You Max and Ross!
I could go on for paragraphs on how finding out this information even before this video made me feel. But in the end of the day I’m just glad you two are better off then y’all ever were back then. I think it’s a universal thing that jumping around in Minecraft and just _talking_ is very nice and therapeutic. Jumping can also mean how in the hide and seek videos the seekers _forget_ they’re seeking because they’re just jumping and talking

I love hearing Ross and Max vent about the offices. I feel like it's a good chance for two people who were treated like trash to let their frudtration out while also informing an audience of absolute injustice. It does suck though. I really looked up to He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named.
To this day I hope for House_Owner's videos somehow ending up on the internet again but considering some of the people in the videos and how long it's been since the mass deletion, the chances grow slimmer and my hope dwindles.

I always wondered exactly what went down and had only pieced together bits and pieces from offhand comments in videos (because I don't use twitter or anything). The one who must not be named always gave me bad vibes, even if I did enjoy the content at the time. But hearing some of what was going on behind the scenes, that shit sounds like a nightmare. This was honestly cathartic because the office was my childhood, and while I did love the office, you guys are the only one's who really stayed relevant because you guys were the soul of the office. For a while after He who shall not be named quit UA-cam and started focusing on his music career, I still followed him because I liked his music and his humor, but not him as a person. **n was always an asshole, and he got what he deserved, even as a outsider who knew nothing about the inner workings and relationships of the office. I'm a person who gets nostalgic about the small things, or the persona's that a creator makes as a secondary character to the them on screen, like Earl the dungeon beast, Dada the Dolphin, and- "HEGSHEJUSUEHEJUSU!" "Oh, hey Brick". I'm one of the guys who say make what you wanna make because I know that I'll watch whatever you guys put out. I may push it off for a week at most if there are other things I'm doing, but I will genuinely watch whatever you put out, whether it's another 20-30 minute podcast placed over minecraft hide and seek/parkour videos, long game playthroughs like your raft series, it takes two, or a way out. Omg! I remember the "Ross" video with the classical music, it was one of my most favorite videos and for the longest time I didn't know what happened to it.
When I was 9, I remember being one of the first ppl to watch 'he who shall not be named' s Minecraft video way back. I was introduced to max and ross through them and have been a fan ever since. While childhood me longs for the ignorance to the situation, to hear that my 2 favorite youtubers went through so much and that MANY people went through so much makes me infuriated and I hope that much light gets shed on the situation and that those who were affected have their time to heal, if they are even able to. Thank you max and ross for always putting out amazing content even though you both could've ended it so many years ago. Thank you for being genuine and continuing to inspire not only us who have stuck by you but also the new generations to come

Honestly I cried during this video, not because I was sad but because it's so relieving to hear all this out in the open in one big chunky video. I just wanna say you, Ross, and everyone else who went through torture by him are incredible people and yall deserved better.
(Also it's probably cringe but,) I truly appreciate your existence from the bottom of my heart.
I also wanted to add on when the drama was made public I wasn't on his side but, a part of me hoped that he would change for the better. (This went on in an unending cycle) When more truth about him unfolded and everyone shared the hardships they went through I cracked. It was one of the factors that partook to me going on auto pilot. (Months passed by within a blink of an eye, I don't recall any of it, I've been trying to get better and you guys helped me a lot.)
For anyone seeing this that may think this is for pity or something like it, it's not.(This community is great) I just remembered that writing your experience and sharing them can help you go past them.

I'm glad you guys made this video. I remember when I was a teenager, I would watch you and Ross when you worked at the office, and it was always, to me, the highlight of any video. So when I hear all the bad stuff that happened there, I didn't how to process it. I wanted to ask so many questions. And at the time, I didn't comprehend the boundary between content creator and fan. Over the years, I've come to realize how the internet, and the way we treat it, skewed my way of thinking. Everything that happened at the office was, and still is, not my business. While I still had questions, it wasn't my place to get involved. Doesn't help that I don't research HALF the information I have. I mainly got information only on UA-cam for the longest time.
Long and short of it is this: I'm glad to know this information and get some closure from an unhealthy attachment I had so UA-cam, but I'm happier it was on your terms and not my own terms. You and your friends are doing great work Max. Hope to see more from you for as long as you want to!

Max, I have a few things to say (I know everybody seems to have a thing or two to say for everything, but I feel like I should):
1) your content with Ross here all the way back to your first appearances in the office were some of my favorite content growing up. You, Ross, and Barney were my three favorites of the office and sometimes the wacky of the wall comedy I needed when I was a kid (I had been bullied badly at that time and had some thoughts that no kid/anyone, especially one under 13 should feel about oneself), so you three and a few others made my days a little easier.
2) I’m sorry. I’m sorry for not backing you guys when you first left, at least not as much as I should have. I was a kid, barely even a teen when the things went down like that, so I thought it had been a more complicated situation and believed it to be mutual at first. And I didn’t try to ask more questions because my life had gotten a lot worse not too long after, but it’s no excuse for me not fully backing you guys or asking enough questions. In addition, while I was never one to believe that everyone in that office were best friends or anything like that
(ex: *bleep*-bop always gave me the creeps and seemed like an ass, guess my gut was right at least once), I did believe for about a year to two years after you both broke off from the office that it was a simple falling out and work disagreement, and thus I fell awful for not trying to look deeper. I did realize a bit before the two year mark what the situation was closer to, but I believe that was too little too late on my part. Thank you for your time in reading this, your channel along with Ross have helped me recover from a lot. And thanks to your comedy and entertainment the last few years, I’ve been motivated enough to be top of my class senior year, and even be accepted on a scholarship to my first choice of college thanks to your guy’s ability to help me make my day a bit brighter. Thanks for listening and I hope you and Ross continue to make awesome content as well as be yourselves, after all you both are pretty great.

This is both incredibly satisfying to watch and also very sad. I grew up on the Butter Bastard, I was one of his OG followers, I was there for his mod showcases and adventure maps, I remember Team Crafted. I knew as I got older that things weren't as they seemed, but it wasn't until the Jinbop stuff that I knew something was seriously wrong. I wrote fanfics about the Offices, about dating the members and going to Ihop, makimg videos, having barbecues with everyone. But it's reading my old fanfics and seeing just how naive I was.
I didn't know until the most recent documents came out about Butter Bastard. In hindsight, I should have known since JinBop, but I naively thought "It's just one bad apple."
As a kid, I never saw any of the drama, but this brings a lot of stuff out into the spotlight for me to now know what kind of people I was supporting.
It's stuff like this that makes me happy that these two are the definition of best friends.
Honestly as someone who missed all of the sh*t going down and just saw the aftermath and people saying vague things, I rly appreciate y’all talking about it. Especially since y’all talked about it just to talk about it. Thanks❤️
This video is a year old, so I'm mostly posting this because I want to express myself. Since this video was uploaded, it had brought me great comfort many many times. I'm not sure why I found this video comforting to me, maybe because you and ross are so genuine this episode and hearing you talk about your past rough situations has helped me get through mine. I downloaded this episode to an mp3 at one point because when I had nightmares or couldn't sleep from anxiety, putting my earbuds in and playing the recording of this video would help me sleep. I play your videos all the time while I play games or clean or work, but something about this video specifically has helped me so much. If you ever go back through old comments and see this, then I just wanted to say Thank You Max and Ross!

That channel was my childhood and both of you for me personally, we're always the highlight of my day in said videos. So with all that happened, I’m so happy you both have your own channels that still is amazing because it's you guys. :D (And hopefully a better work environment)
I think it is so crazy that I was in a very low mental state when I found yours and Ross' original channel and then watched you guys work in the office then come out it. The decade of watching you guys build your work. You should have a Netflix show by now or something.

I just wanted to say that you guys are heros for putting up with "he who shall not be named" and what they did to you. I am honestly so glad that you guys are doing better now and I'm amazed at how well you guys put up with this.

i always precomment on videos, but this is one that i kinda wanted to say more on after watching. the end was so heartfelt, despite the shit that was being talked about, and i'm glad you guys feel safe now talking about this stuff. there were a lot of "hoo boy" moment while you guys were parkouring: even with knowing about most of it it's a lot to actually hear said out loud.
i was one of the people blinded by nostalgia: i didn't have any social media when it first came out, but i heard of lil tidbits from people with no sources. i thought it was just people talking shit for talking shit's sake. the first i actually heard of anything substantial was through a short post on twitter from ross in like 2018 and then it all coming back on twitter very recently. i'm glad you guys talked about this stuff in this video and felt comfy uploading it after cause i remember, in your twitlonger about it recently, you didn't feel comfortable saying his name but here it feels very casually talked about. hoping this video reaches some people who still are blinded by nostalgia cause those assholes felt like they were coming back recently (seen some people pleasantly talking about both the ceo and the fucking paedophile, jfc) and they shouldn't come back.

I'm really glad you guys got out of that situation and neither of you deserved it. I remember when you guys left the office, that's when I mostly stopped watching those videos. I started just watching you guys more because you were my favorites. I never really completely understood or realized what lead you guys to leaving. I remember reading it was simply a falling out as friends.
I am so sorry you, Ross, and all the others who had to deal with that treatment from a cruel human being. I hope you guys are doing so much better, especially with getting this off your chests. To be honest I’m kinda glad they finally spoke up on their side of the story I watched the lives when everybody stopped filming. I’m happy for you guys getting out of that situation and growing your own communities love you guys❤️
as someone whos been around since 2015/2016 this was such a refreshing video. seeing you guys openly vent how he who shall not be named treated everyone just felt so normal. it felt literally like just sitting down and finally letting yourself breath and being able to get your perspective out was just so nice to listen too. your podcast style videos will always be my favourites and to just listen to y'all finally letting shit out is so good to hear. happy tears were in fact shed. love you both
I think it’s a universal thing that jumping around in Minecraft and just _talking_ is very nice and therapeutic. Jumping can also mean how in the hide and seek videos the seekers _forget_ they’re seeking because they’re just jumping and talking

wow, I didn't realize how bad it was for all you guys. and now I kind of feel bad because I didn't realize how bad it was, every time I watched his videos and say things got crazy, I just thought "It's all just for fun, they're not actually trying to hurt each other." and now that I heard how bad it was for you guys. I'm sorry you had to go through that. but if it means anything, you and ross are way more entertaining than he who shall not be named ever was; I'm laughing and learning and loving all your videos now more than his old stuff. so I'm glad you guys left, and are doing better now than before.

I found you guys through the office and after everything that happened I have stuck with you two purely because you always made me laugh and just cheered me up in bad times. After everything that happened I'm so glad to see you be your own people and be away from all the terrible things that happened and I'm just so glad you guys made it to where you are!!!
I love hearing Ross and Max vent about the offices. I feel like it's a good chance for two people who were treated like trash to let their frudtration out while also informing an audience of absolute injustice. It does suck though. I really looked up to He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named.
To this day I hope for House_Owner's videos somehow ending up on the internet again but considering some of the people in the videos and how long it's been since the mass deletion, the chances grow slimmer and my hope dwindles.

This video (and the one in the description) is fascinating. I always wondered exactly what went down and had only pieced together bits and pieces from offhand comments in videos (because I don't use twitter or anything). The one who must not be named always gave me bad vibes, even if I did enjoy the content at the time. But hearing some of what was going on behind the scenes, that shit sounds like a nightmare. Glad y'all got out of it.

It’s so wild and a lil sad to have watched all these people years ago being 8 and be so unaware to the horrors going on behind the cameras having watched all these creators and be like “Wow he’s so funny and I really like him😁” only to find out years later that during that time they were a horrible human beings 😔it’s so sad but I’m at least glad my favorite of them all still hasn’t done anything and is genuinely such a good person thank you Ross respectfully (god this is cringe af to say holy but I still mean it)
This was honestly cathartic because the office was my childhood, and while I did love the office, you guys are the only one's who really stayed relevant because you guys were the soul of the office. For a while after He who shall not be named quit UA-cam and started focusing on his music career, I still followed him because I liked his music and his humor, but not him as a person. **n was always an asshole, and he got what he deserved, even as a outsider who knew nothing about the inner workings and relationships of the office.
I'm a person who gets nostalgic about the small things, or the persona's that a creator makes as a secondary character to the them on screen, like Earl the dungeon beast, Dada the Dolphin, and- "HEGSHEJUSUEHEJUSU!" "Oh, hey Brick". I'm one of the guys who say make what you wanna make because I know that I'll watch whatever you guys put out. I may push it off for a week at most if there are other things I'm doing, but I will genuinely watch whatever you put out, whether it's another 20-30 minute podcast placed over minecraft hide and seek/parkour videos, long game playthroughs like your raft series, it takes two, or a way out. Even going back to some of your IRL bits like Baking a cake (Ross Temple of Dooming a Mountain Dew out of a cake lives rent free in my brain) or the hot ones challenge, even if they end up being once a month videos, seeing a return of those types of videos would be a godsend because just seeing you, Ross, and Christa in your natural habitat trying to IDK Bake a pizza while Ross complains that even though it's not delivery it also isn't digorno. So, anyway, I hope you and Ross keep being just Max and Ross (and that maybe your editor needs a raise) and that you enjoy your work and have fun with it.

Omg! I remember the "Ross" video with the classical music, it was one of my most favorite videos and for the longest time I didn't know what happened to it.
When I was 9, I remember being one of the first ppl to watch 'he who shall not be named' s Minecraft video way back. I was introduced to max and ross through them and have been a fan ever since. While childhood me longs for the ignorance to the situation, to hear that my 2 favorite youtubers went through so much and that MANY people went through so much makes me infuriated and I hope that much light gets shed on the situation and that those who were affected have their time to heal, if they are even able to. Thank you max and ross for always putting out amazing content even though you both could've ended it so many years ago. Thank you for being genuine and continuing to inspire not only us who have stuck by you but also the new generations to come

I used to watch the early office videos, stopped before the son situation happened, and then years later started watching this channel. It is heartbreaking to hear the things that y’all went through and extremely tough to hear the truth behind the years I missed in between. You and Ross have gotten me through tough times and I’m blessed to know that y’all made it through yours.
Im even more glad you guys can make streams and videos with better people than who shall not be named and seeing you and ross being able to have so much fun with the better friend group you guys have now always brings a smile to my face

I remember after you guys were no longer in the offices, I stopped watching he who shall not be named's videos because you guys were my favorite people there. Even looking back at those videos as a kid I remembered feeling slightly uncomfortable because I could tell you and others were uncomfortable there in recordings. I never knew why yall left or any of the drama behind it, I just ditched his channel and went to find yall again. Hearing you two talk about this, about what two of the worst people there did to yall, and how you were treated after leaving sickens me. I'm so glad you and others that are now free from he who shall not be named feel safe enough to talk about your experiences. I hope the best for you and everyone else that was affected by what could only be described as "The Office from Hell"

Look, I'm going to be honest. I respect you both and even after all the crap that has happened. There isn't a way to take back what happened but you went your own ways, and I'm glad you both. "Idol" was an inspiration for me 13 years ago, now that I'm a older buck, I see what he really is. Even if this is old, Max and Ross, you guys always made me laugh more. Hope one of you stumble on this.
