    I've been using this screwdriver for a few months now and it's grown on me a lot. It doesn't have quite as much brute-force as the cheaper alternatives for big screws, but pretty much anything in a laptop it's far quicker and more accurate.

    Cool tech and user design in this tool, the twist direction selection is ingenious! 👍 Not overcamming small screws is also impressive. I'm still sticking to manual screwdrivers though, because I like feeling the threads and pressure, plus I don't have to think about maintaining one more battery device. Thanks for the demo. 🤘

      The torque sensing is kind of a lie, bit it's simple.
      If you rotate it in the direction that you want it to spin, as soon as it bottoms out, it actually twists it back in your hand so the amount of torque that's placed on it is the exact amount of torque that your hand is putting on it. If you grip it really tight and keep turning it will continue turning against your hand, but if you relax your hand and let it untwist a little bit it will stop

      @@pilotavery The retreat your referring to is a seperate function. I don't use the ES126 anymore the battery life sucks on it so I got the MINIWARE ES15 instead, it's had 7 firmware updates & torque/load sensitivity is improved. I'm guessing it works by sensing a current load increase the deeper the screw goes in & adjusts itself accordingly

    My PC toolkit consists of... a 1980's Snap On small cross head screwdriver... Its just brilliant being small form factor and it upsets ppl when I go to work on their PC and they are expecting cases and toolboxes and I whips out my little screwdriver and works me magic with it hehe I'll have to drop in sometime as I am needing a bit of ram and couple other bits and pieces as I want to downgrade my Coolermaster HAF for something slightly less gargantuan.

    I bought some of the Wera drives after you mentioned them some time ago - i forgot to send a note thanking you as they immediately become my go to screwdrivers for most notebook jobs - not to mention mini pry bars... and ear hole wax cleaner outerers :-)
    These electric drivers though - not my bag really. Maybe im a dinosaur, but i like the tactileness of using the Weras, not to mention at least feeling like im doing a bit of real work. Its not like are paving driveways here for a living is it? So its nice to get involved with the tools. Good video though.

  • @GIacius
    @GIacius Рік тому

    this screwdriver lasted me for about 2-3 months before I ran into issues. imo, the minute you try to use it as a normal screwdriver and unscrew a stubborn screw manually, it will lead to something becoming disconnected or some other issue. to keep it simple, it keeps asking me for an update or it only works for about 1/10th of a second before turning off. I don't get it.
    at this point I got a cheap tacklife electric screwdriver and would probably consider 3d printing an adapter to work with the smaller bits. that's just me though.
    if not 3d printing then use glue or something.. idk.

    How has this driver held up over the past nine+ months since you made this video? I've gone through two of the other type (nearly identical to your YZH), the first lasting almost a year and the second dying after less than six months. I'm considering spending the extra money on a better driver and wanted to check to see if you still feel this one is worth the price.

    • @Adamant_IT
      @Adamant_IT  2 роки тому +1

      Still going strong. I think part of it might be that the torque control prevents you from brutalising it as much. The YZH driver I was really brutal on, I would use it on big screws ruthlessly - you literally can't do that with the Sequre. But for laptops it's still fast and smooth and my main-use screw driver. I still use it in conjunction with other drivers - I hate swapping bits constantly while working, so if a laptop is 80% T5 and 20% PH0, I'll have a T5 in the sequre and my Wera PH0 next to me.

    I see many people using pressured air to clean the fans when they are still plugged into the motherboard, when you do that the fans starts spinning and maybe faster than it normally does and when you do that you are using the fan in reverse which will generate a voltage which will go back to the driving transistor and possibly blow it up.
    I saw you doing that too, it will go right 1000 times and then it goes wrong once and you have more problems.

      Not fully. Anything bigger than a laptop screw you'd zap it in, and then give it the last tighten by hand - but it still takes the leg work out of the job. Tensioned screws (spring-loaded coolers) it may struggle with though.
