Something I learned and I'd like to thank is the difference between academic IELTS and general: I thought academic IELTS was harder, but what your guest said makes sense. Because vanessa is a teacher and teacher generally use those expressions that are understood by everyone but not every native english speakers speak like a teacher they speak normally you can understand vanessa easily but the goal is not only understand vanessa but also understand other native speakers . For me I can understand but I can't understand english movies , podcast and videos . Vanessa once said you can understand me because I make sure that every learners can understand me I speak like a teacher style but native speakers speak normally. Vanessa want her student to understand anyone that is why she created many courses like 30 days listening challenge that's really gonna improve our listening skills .

When learning English or a second language in general, we tend to focus so much on grammar and acquiring new vocabulary and expressions which is of course really good and very valuable but we tend to let behind the development of a good speech full of coherent and logical ideas. But nobody teaches us that!
