Aww don’t worry, we sometimes don’t watch a vlog all the way to the end either 🤭 - At the end of “RIDING ROUTINE” we gave a little explanation of what was happening to Bobby and how our loan was changing to one day a week ❤❤
I know what u mean! I have been struggling this winter with riding. I haven’t ridden Roman for over a weak because of the rain and the frozen arena!🫶🏼💖
Maybe it would helpful if you worked on a bigger pony? Taht way you wont get thrown over by the head being yanked down. Maybe move up to 13,2/14,1. Changing stride length works by leaning back to lengthen and drawing reins inwards to shorten
We are currently working on her landing position and talk about this in our latest vlog (out soon). Whether she’s riding a shetland pony or a horse, it’s more important that she is secure in the stirrup on landing and sits up so that she isn’t thrown forward. We don’t want to rush putting her on a bigger, stronger horse as she is only young and sometimes, without mastering stirrup security and balance, a bigger pony only risks a fall from a bigger height.
@@lailasponyadventures6645 maybe then just finding a pony with a bigger wither. If there is a small wither it's harder. Maybe also daisy reins. She's had quite a few falls which can be bad on confidence and it would be a shame for her to not progress because of that. Leaning back is also very important. I tell myself if in doubt takeout a stride and LEAN BACK. Something that helped me with a strong lesson pony jumping was having a bigger give over the jump so you can take it back on the landing. but it is largely about finding the correct pony. I still think a slightly bigger pony might help. I don't know the height of the current ones, but 12hh-13hh then
I don't really get it . Does she still have blaze
