I have been riding for 11 months now, am so excited to start watching this series! Sure I’m gonna love it! Remember, everybody’s got to start somewhere!❤️
I love riding schools like this, I’m very lucky to have such a great barn that gives me the experience of taking care of a horse and one thing I love about my barn is that all of their horses are rescue’s and they are all amazing which makes you feel very happy that they got a second chance and are in such a great home
It was amazing to have you at our stables everyone loved it, I was in the lesson you were leading in, I was the girl on the brown horse with the blue helmet, you did an amazing job jumping, as a rider who recently lost my confidence due to some pretty bad falls it was really inspiring to watch.
Ive been riding for almost 3 years and you have been a huge part of my journey at the beginning. Im so greatful to be riding and I thank you for making such amazing videos 🥰
Been riding for about 2 and a half years now as a ‘lesson girl’ and I’ve loved it. Pevlings is where I go to, there’s around 34 ponies there, and it’s a livery yard too! Pevlings is very similar to this, except we do like to keep our girths attached to our saddles! 😅 I’ve only just learnt to canter, and jump cross poles! A pony I ride is called Danny Dazzler, or just Daz. He’s piebald and is great at jumping! (He has to have his feathers shaved, though, so that he doesn’t get uncomfortable when he’s jumping.) Daz is definitely one of my favourites, and he is very patient and respect your boundaries (Like if you don’t want to canter, he doesn’t zoom off with you.) I’m also from England, and I love your channel! ❤
I've been riding for longer than many of the kids at that riding school have even been alive and I still enjoyed watching this video! It brings me back to my first steps into horse riding and it's such happy and precious memories! I went to a few different riding schools, and I remember the first time I walked into the stable where I would end up spending a big part of my childhood and young teen years. My eyes were drawn to this beautiful black and white cob, and I even wrote about her in my diary. She turned out to be on of my biggest horse loves growing up! Another one was an older pony, he were kind of grumpy in the stable and most kids were a little scared of him. Me too, and I needed lots of help from the older, more experienced kids to get him ready for riding when it was my turn to ride him. After a few challenging lessons, he grew on me and became my absolute favorite! I did a lot of my firsts with him - First canter on the big arena, first jumping course fully in canter, I even got my first placement in a competition with him (it was a grooming competition and we got third). Ah, those special ponies at riding schools are such amazing friends for new riders and they really are worth their weight in pure gold!
This is an amazing organization! I’ve been blessed to be raised with horses, and I understand lots of people want to ride, but can’t. This is wonderful and making dreams come true
I have been riding for quite along time but this is going to help me improve a-lot you teach everyone so much and always put a smile on my face and everyone else’s! I love your UA-cam channel!
Oo thank you for this ❤️ I have been riding for 2 years, but I like to see beginner videos to see the basics, to never forget because I actually do more showjumping than flatwork… this helped me a lot 💖
I’m very lucky that personally I have been able to ride and own horses since I was 4 and I’ve always felt welcome at my yard they are amazing. I think that series means a lot because so many people aren’t able to those opportunities and even though the equestrian world can be unwelcoming there needs to be safe places where people can ride and feel like themselves no matter what level of riding they are at
This video is amazing ! I love how inspiring you are to me and other riders and even non equestrians . I wanted to quit not that long ago but bc of your videos I kept going and I don’t regret it . Love you Esme 💙
I love how you always want to help even if you could be doing something else. You have been a huge part of my confidence boost so I'm extremely excited for this series
Hi Esme I love your videos so much I have learned a lot about horses l want to tell you my story how l got in to horses so l think it was two years ago when my friend invited me to this horse camp it was for a week and it was kinda like the video. I knew nothing about horses then. But I learned so so much then I started watching your videos. And when school started back l took lessons on Wednesday and now it is the summer l think l am going to do the camp again from Vanna LOVE YOU ESME💗
I’ve never really been a big fan of riding. I have know the basic walk/trot/canter for years but have always loved being on the ground with them so I volunteering at a barn. I have finally decided that I would love to learn to ride for real and this is so helpful for my confidence thank you ❤️
This is looking so nice! My heart melts looking at the Cobs, this is such an awesome breed! I have a little Cob Lady myself and I am learning so much from her everyday ❤️
What a great series Esme, and what a great way to start!! I remember feeling afraid to join in group activities because the other riders at my school were more experienced.. it's nice to know you're not alone 😸
I've been riding for nearly 3 years now, and I know that this will really help everyone who is just starting out riding! I'm also very excited for this series
My riding school is just like this one and yours. They teach us how to groom and tack up and we have a program where younger kids and all young beginners ride on a lead. So I help out with that, as well as helping out with pony parties. I also recently started doing morning chores before my lesson once a week which includes feeding 20+ horses and the goats and sheep, checking waters, and cleaning all the barn stalls out. On top of that I just started a summer program they invited me to, where we practice extra skills like trailering, emergency dismount, what to do if a horse spooks and starts backing on a trail ride, etc. And at the end of the summer we get to use those skills when we have a pony hangout day all day, then sleepover at the yard, and go on a trail ride the next day. It’ll be my first trail ride! I’m even more excited for next year when I’ll be in the older group and go on a camping trip!! I love that I can take care of my pony Cupcake like she’s my own and I love her so so so much. I’ve been riding her for two years now and I love spending time with her whether it’s having a lesson, leading other kids on her, doing groundwork, having a pamper sesh, or just teaching her tricks like how to kiss or making silly videos. Learning how to care for a horse like you own them is so rare and underrated at most stables. Love the video Esme. It looks like so much fun! ~Olivia
Yay so excited for this series wish I had started riding at such a friendly and welcoming riding school 😭 so sad how people are so unwelcoming sometimes especially as I am allergic to horses been riding for six years now and mostly because watching esmes videos🙂Also did anyone notice esme used her old outro???
My dream has always been to ride. My dream job is to work with horses. When I first discovered your channel just before the first lockdown I think, it brought me so much joy and still does every time you upload. I felt so welcomed into this amazing community and I felt as if I could have a bit of an equestrian journey here on your channel. Because of money issues, we can't afford to have riding lessons which is very sad when all my friends ride however watching other young children learning to ride and look after equines brings me so much happiness. Thank you Esme for everything you do 💙. Ps the old music at the end was gold- it brought back so many memories xx
I started in 2021 in February and now it’s been 2 years have not showed yet but I love riding so much and my goal this year is to jump higher and show!❤❤❤ I had a fall off in 2022 but there was another girl in my lesson and get in her horse, that horse I fell off of had never jumped so I was kind scarred but i know horses can scenes how calm and how scared you are. Just take three deep breaths and you will be fine. ❤❤❤ Love you Esme!
I’m so exited to start watching this series because I’ve just had my first lesson back for a couple years on one of my friends pony’s Milly as my dad won’t let me get a horse and I was so exited to start riding again. You have always been a huge inspiration for me so Thankyou ❤️🐴
Before my first ever jump I looked at how you jumped and copied how you did it. You’re such an inspiration and I am now looking for a Hunter jump pony ❤️💕
That's how I first learned how to ride. And my first 7 rides were on a lunge line, to establish balance before I ever had reins in my hands. I love this series Esme!! 💖 💖 It helps so many young people realize that their horse journey can come true. And if you can't afford lessons, most Barns in my area, if you volunteer for lead classes, mucking out stalls, leading in and out of fields, will actually count that as payment for lessons. Making it even more meaningful to the young person as they learn about everything, from the ground up so to speak!! Thank you so much for doing this series. And know, all riders at some point lose their confidence to ride. So then you go back to the basics. Walk and trot transitions with maybe a cross rail or two. You will get it back. I did!! And I've been working with horses for 50+ years and I'm still LEARNING!! From an FEI Level Coach and Retired Paramedic in Ontario, Canada, Jenn. 💖 🇨🇦🇬🇧
I've lived at the farm and been part of Team Tutsham for many years and I do love Whorley ❤️ so pleased you got to be with him and have cuddles! He's been part of our riding school forever bless him! Thank you for giving everyone the best day ever!
What a fabulous riding school. All the children looked so happy doing all the chores. It's lovely to see children having access to horses and it was always something I wanted to do and not just for riding. Just being around ponies and horses can make a huge difference and they are always happy to see you. Thanks so much for doing this series and I'm so looking forward to the next one xx
You should come to TLC for horses all of our horses are rescues and we do everything that you done in the video there is over 30 horses and you will love it
I have been riding for 10 months and cannot wait for more episodes to be released! Even though I am watching this online, I try to apply it physically. Esme has made me so confident in riding! You are a humongous inspiration and a role model to more thousands of people including me! You also make everyone feel so welcomed in the equestrian community!
It’s a really nice video you can tell this riding school is absolutely lovely. It’s really sad because I rode for a year then couldn’t after lockdown due to money issues. I hope to get back into it in a few months but it’s hard when the stables near you don’t teach how to tack up etc and have expensive lessons!
I wish I lived in the UK now :( But we're moving to MO soon and they're rehoming horses to great homes so it's free. We're gonna have a farm too. You've inspired me to keep trying to be an Equestrian, Esme
moving onto my fifth lesson, im fifteen so it’s never too late to start, i know i don’t have many opportunities as others do but im happy to be doing it and will someday own 😇
It seems like such a friendly community and everyone seems to get along really well even with people they have never met before. I was really happy to watch all of the smiles on everyone's faces even when picking up poo. Everyone worked as a team which is one of the most important skills in life and and nobody was afraid to give new things a go and never give up. Nobody was judgmental and its just such a pleasure watching young horse lovers like these, do what they love and learn to care for and ride horse! Thankyou for this vlog esme! I don't normaly comment much but this needed to be said! Well done! ❤❤🐴
I haven’t started riding yet but it is my dream! You have honestly inspired me Esme! My story is: I’ve been asking my parents a lot if I can ride. They told me it is dangerous and too expensive. But then my mum said she will start working and when she does she will pay me some ridding lessons. I also showed my mum your videos and how I’ve learned so much from them. You have helped me convince her. Now thanks to you I can start my journey on riding.
I started riding when I was 15, my family weren’t disadvantaged financially but it definitely wasn’t the kind of situation where I’d have my own horses and a house with stables and that side of riding- it was more that I was able to fund lessons for me and my sister every week and equipment which I was extremely grateful for! It can be a very financially draining sport/hobby so it’s so lovely to be educated on places that are open to everyone! I had to quit riding a few months ago due to sixth form and my job which and I wasn’t fortunate to be able to be surrounded by the equestrian life daily but when life gets a bit less busy I’d love to look into these kind of organisations more! The togetherness of the children and the enthusiasm of the teachers is lovely! And the way they take the time to teach the care of the horses are so beneficial as that was something my yard really lacked, loving this x
I'm 14 now and want to do horse riding but the stables near me is always full of like 5 year olds and it's just embarrassing for me to be learning when I'm 9 years older than other learners. Did you ever experience this?
I have been riding for a little over a year now and I must say horse riding is the most rewarding sport. Its such a fun way to build friendships and bonds with horses and people alike! If you are unsure if you want to start or not, DO IT! You will have a blast!
I’ve been riding for over 2 years now and it’s been the best 2 years of my life, I recently got my first ever loan horse, his name is Wolfie and he’s a bay 22 year old 15.2hh thoroughbred gelding. He also has one eye but honestly he is the sweetest boy ever!
I had a 1 year pause from riding (which was very dramatic for me, because 3 years ago I even used to own a horse) and two weeks ago I started riding again and I‘m so happy about it. I really hope there will be more riding schools like this one, I am honestly kinda jealous because riding schools in my country mostly suck. Can’t wait for another videos from this series!
Hi esme your videos have literally made me so addicted to horses and I really wanna start but I feel like I wanna learn all about them first and then when I'm like 15 or 16 I might start having lessons
I really miss riding. I used to ride weekly for 8 years but had to stop as the only riding school in my town wasn't very good one and later I was diagnosed with Asthma and now I can never ride again. I love to follow others journeys but I will always miss riding myself ❤️
Honestly this riding school looks beautiful, and the horses look really well cared and the riders are really good! The riding school where I am is in the city, so it’s not as good and I really wish they had nice riding schools like this in the city.
I have been riding for just over a year now! I started on Easter Sunday last year!! After lockdown started my parents and I explored different walks and one of them was near a horse yard! We visited the place nearly every single day and we met this beautiful horse named Flare. We cuddled her for hours. Honestly she's amazing! After 2 years we still say hello. After seeing Flare I started asking my parents if I could start horse riding lessons and they said we will see. Anways a couple of days later I went onto UA-cam and searched 'horses' and one of your videos popped up! I instantly clicked on the video, due to the amazing thumbnail, and started watching the video. Well, the video made me want to start horse riding even more!! I subscribed to you and watched every single video you posted! Honestly, I'm sooo happy I found ur channel! Ur such a big inspiration!! Anways, in 2020 on Christmas day my mum and dad said that I was going to start horse riding lessons once a week! Sadly, due to COVID19 it was delayed to April 2021. Anways I started, as I said earlier, on Easter Sunday! I was so excited! I had ridden once before in Summer 2020, but it wasn't a lesson as such. Anway, I rode a horse named 'Donovan' and he was amazing! I loved it soo much I wanted to go every day! I still ride Donovan to this day. He's a lot more lazy now tho 😂. Horse riding is one of the best things I've ever done in my life! It's amazing, honestly I just love it. It feels just amazing to ride an animal I love. And the fact that I get to untack them and put them in their stable just makes me feel even more special. And I know I already said this but, I am so so happy I found your channel! It teaches me so much and makes me laugh...a lot!! I felt privileged to meet you aswell! It honestly was such amazing experience! I'll never forget that moment... I also feel so lucky to live in the same country as you! Because then I can go to the horse shows you go to without going on a plane or travelling for hours and hours. Thank you for taking time out of your day to read this. Have a nice day/night!!
Horses are my dream. Ever since I saw my aunties friends horse Winnie I fell in love with them. I lost my confidence two years ago when I fell of one of the tallest in the yard. But my last lesson I cantered two steps and my coach was so proud of me. I try IED to keep him going but he went to a haunt straight away
I began riding at the age of 6 months old and I began off the lead work at 3. I could trot off the lead at 4 and canter and jump off the lead at 5. I am so lucky to have had an experience where I have been able to ride from an extremely young age. But remember, you are never to old to try something new!
This riding school looks so great! In my riding school we do a lot of pony camps and sometimes we do renting where we take care of a horse and ride them it's a great thing , Loved this series
To be honest, I've been riding for 8 years, so I didn't really need this ;-; however, it was still enjoyable to watch, and very informative! I think many people will have found this comforting and knowledgeable!
Ah I love this ! I started riding a year ago and I have progressed well! This iss really helpful to those who want to start riding or spending time caring for horses. Love you esme
Awww I actually love this so much, I have always been passionate about teaching people to ride and I really do believe that the more people can ride horses, the better! I also love to hear that you love cobs as they are all I have ever owned, and I wouldn't change it for the world! I know you'll have a supercob one day. Good on you Esme!
What a lovely video Esme. What a great place. Really glad your doing this series. I am probably your oldest follower and my life has been filled with being with horses. The children deserve a change to experience this .
Wow, that is an amazing riding school! I am one of those beginners who is having a hard time affording riding, so I really appreciate places like that. I am so excited for the new series!
And once you start... who knows how far you might go 👏😉
Very true!!
More like: Once you start, you cant stop 😂😂
I thought your name was FBI for a sec lol thank you you though

I have been riding about a month longer and I am also so excited because I have so much to learn
@@Anna_v_horses Me too!

aww seeing those little girls so happy to see you is so sweet!! I only started taking lessons a few months ago at 28 and I'm obsessed 🥰
Imagine Esme just surprising you, I would cry so hard with joy😂❤
I feel like this is such an amazing thing you are doing, inspiring even more people everyday!!💕
Let’s just appreciate how kind Esme is trying to help! :) Esme is just amazing 🤩
Well done! ❤❤🐴
The time I started riding, about 5 months ago, and this actually helped a lot! I'm sure this will help a lot with other beginners like me 😊
-Grace
I also started 5 months ago! Well maybe 4 lol ❤
I haven’t started riding yet but it is my dream! You have honestly inspired me Esme!
My story is:
I’ve been asking my parents a lot if I can ride.
I’ve just had my first horse riding lesson this morning and it was amazing! I love watching your videos as well as they are really fun to watch.
Aww, Otis and all the other ponies are adorable!!
I love that you make videos like this!❤️ It makes people feel so welcome!❤️ Your amazing Esme!❤️🐴 Everyone seemed so kind there!💖
Thank you for this! I've been riding for 3 years and ive always learnt so much off your videos and it helped me a ton
I have been riding since i was 7 years old i rode so many diffent horses. I learned a hell of alot but watching you as helped in so many ways!!
Hi esme your videos have literally made me so addicted to horses and I really wanna start but I feel like I wanna learn all about them first and then when I'm like 15 or 16 I might start having lessons
Let’s appreciate how much esme goes out of are way to do theses amazing videos for us 🫶🏻
I have been riding for just under 5 years now, I thought that I would just have one lesson but look how far it took me! Love your videos esme!
I really miss riding. I used to ride weekly for 8 years but had to stop as the only riding school in my town wasn't very good one and later I was diagnosed with Asthma and now I can never ride again. I love to follow others journeys but I will always miss riding myself ❤️
This is so supportive because I am loaning a pony and not a lot of people are the nicest so it’s rllly nice to see this
Thank you for teaching us ❤ especially I love watching your videos , they are my favorites
Pink and yellow look good together 💛💗
Honestly this riding school looks beautiful, and the horses look really well cared and the riders are really good!
The riding school where I am is in the city, so it’s not as good and I really wish they had nice riding schools like this in the city.
Esme started here once and now look how far she has come! She is incredible and such an inspiration! Love your videos Esme! Xx
I’m going to learn how to horse ride soon for the first time and this video makes me more inspired and excited to start horse riding🐴
That’s an amazing story!
@@ThisEsMe thank u so much!!
I’ve been riding for 6 years and I’m 10 now and I know this series will help me remember how I got into riding
Horses are my dream. Ever since I saw my aunties friends horse Winnie I fell in love with them. I lost my confidence two years ago when I fell of one of the tallest in the yard. But my last lesson I cantered two steps and my coach was so proud of me. I try
IED to keep him going but he went to a haunt straight away
I began riding at the age of 6 months old and I began off the lead work at 3. I could trot off the lead at 4 and canter and jump off the lead at 5. I am so lucky to have had an experience where I have been able to ride from an extremely young age. But remember, you are never to old to try something new!
It’s so lovely to see kids having so much fun and so dedicated ♥️♥️❤️❤️
This riding school looks so great! In my riding school we do a lot of pony camps and sometimes we do renting where we take care of a horse and ride them it's a great thing , Loved this series
I have been riding for around 3 years now but I still have LOTS to learn! So I am soo excited to watch this series! 💕
I can’t wait to watch this video the pony’s all look so cute!
To be honest, I've been riding for 8 years, so I didn't really need this ;-; however, it was still enjoyable to watch, and very informative! I think many people will have found this comforting and knowledgeable!
This is a great video to remind everyone that everyone starts somewhere! Soon I will have been riding for a year!
This is such an amazing idea for a series!
Thank you so much!
Esme is the one who inspired me and she changed my life

I've been riding for 7 years now (I'm 11), but i really love enjoy people progress!
Wow, that is an amazing riding school! I am one of those beginners who is having a hard time affording riding, so I really appreciate places like that. I am so excited for the new series!
