I love the brotherly relationship between 3rd, 5th and 6th Prince although they are from different mothers, they are very close and always goes out of their way to help each other.

The lord’s wives have great friendships. If the 1st lord was in Xin state I’m sure he would also be in it. His wife and daughter would be friends with the other wives.

I like to think Zheng gives him his title back after becoming Lord of Xin State. He started to say something along the lines of paying him back when Qi was living in his mansion, but Qi cut him off. Of course he also has the option of living in Dan State if/when Shangguan wants to settle down. As the husband of a princess, he's still officially royalty. But it would be great if his situation got corrected.
Yin qi is the sweetest sweetheart 😘, he is the ideal son and have the kindest heart among all the brothers. He may be a little dumb, but he knows the true meaning of life and family...there is so much to learn from him
And Qi atleast understood his father unlike his main wife and her evil two sons. Main wife’s sons have always been average or below average as in kind of dumb like Qi well not dumb but they’re all just not cut out to rule a country which is fine if you can admit and back out like Qi did instead of being pushed and covered for and spoiled rotten evil greedy and think too highly of oneself. Emperor had a hand in it but main wife definitely made those boys of hers worse.

5th is not dumb. If his character were permitted to know martial arts, he really would have been a lethal, human weapon to be reckoned with like 6th. Yet, he repeatedly reinforced his poor self-esteem with self-sabotaging neg words in his wife's presence. I believe this frustrated her most about him. Making it hard to love a man with no confidence in his own abilities. But, thankfully that changed.
I have to say that I love Yin Qi by far...he really understands what family is all about and the love between father and son. After what his father did to him, he still showed his father that their son and father love would never be dissipated and that there are still people who love him as a father
That's why in many of these series behind the scenes, the actors/actresses do their scene and immediately get pull on a thick jacket. Kinda amusing you see pics of these actors/actresses wearing period costume, but then have a modern day thick jacket or blanket covering them off camera. 😅
In ancient times, there was no heating. They get sick with respiratory issues. It makes it more authentic, I guess. But I feel sorry for the actresses and actors. It's got to be freezing cold and I wonder if some got sick or caught a cold/fever. Hope they got into a warm van on sight after filming each part.
I find it interesting that the 4th Prince's wife is still so focused on getting the brass ring, she not paying attention to the fact that everyone, including the Emperor, knows what she's doing. It's nothing wrong on being competitive, but they've already lost.
She came from a non lineal branch of her family so felt inferior her whole life. Due to that, she wants her husband as crown prince to cover her insecurities.
