Why are people so possessive about how other people print. Resin is great. We all know this. It’s also super toxic. And we all don’t have extra rooms for that. The comment about telling people that you can not print miniatures with fdm is dumb. Do whatever is good for you.
More so to do with how the Bambui is just an amazing machine most FDM printers can't do this quality even when messed around with. Also resin printing is no more toxic or less than melted plastic fumes. People need to let people do as they wish I agree.
@@yagsipcc287 I agree with the first part, disagree with the second part. Plastic fumes are to resin fumes what smelling a fart is to taking a lung full of propane gas. Not only in smell intensity, but also in toxicity. Plus, plastic will not cause your skin to develop necrosis.

I packed up my Mars 2 Pro today. Printing resin has just become WAY too much of a hassle in a small apartment, especially now that it is getting cold. I'm probably going to pick up a full sized A1.
Hey I do not know if you know with resin you can heat it up, I have mine in a workshop (its brick but damn cold) I put the resin in the bottle and put it in a ziplock bagwith all the air out then put it in war or hot water for two or three miniutes your prints will come out fine I have been doing it for 4 years and is common to do in colder countries. I hope this helps anyway :-) the A1 is pretty badass seems it has set a new level for FDM printers.
I've some time taken a steel brush(i got one with the brass one i use on the printer its self) and its rather good at removing bits and peaces that blend into the model.
You did not mention the ancillary costs. A lot of print guys say it only cost the value of the material. In fact there is the cost of the machinery, the electricity and so on. I don't know if that type of printer needs any cleaning or black light treatment. But I do know the true cost is never acknowledged. Nor is the fact that some prints fail for no good reason but people don't mention that as a cost.
Any suggestions on how to clean up fdm minis? Especially around the details? When I look up cleaning up FDM prints I've seen suggestions of sanding as well as an application of wood glue + Acetane. This however doesn't sound like an ideal solution when working with small details.
Cool video, and great results! I've been looking at getting into FDM printing after seeing shots like this with how detailed FDM printers are getting and concerns over the toxicity of a resin printer in my house. Do you have any tips on dealing with scanlines, like with priming or sanding?
The details for FDM printers are getting up to resin, but oof, those print times. It’d probably take less than 20 hours for all the minis if they were in resin.
