R.I.P. Betty White. Thanks for the memories and laughs. Her and Elaine Joyce lost both their husbands (a year apart)and demonstrated such grace and candor, keeping a sense of humor. They would have been great together in a mother/daughter type of sitcom.
You know, I am beginning to find many of these episodes from 1979-82 more entertaining than I originally thought. I now know why I didn't like them as much before, more editing to run a "smoother" show (similar to "Wheel of Fortune," especially since they edited the final spin when you know Pat will spin into a Bankrupt or Lose A Turn), and the audience were not as lively as in earlier years. The contestants allowed to play two games was ok, allowing each contestant a chance to win. However, I prefer the win or go home format.
Looking forward to seeing Scoey M. and Betty White on the panel. I wonder if this week of shows is the last MG-syndicated appearance for each of them, as we're getting near the end of the run.

Some friends of mine wanted me to go out with them in the 80s, we went to a place called Malarkeys, which was just a dump. Herve velechez kept bugging me to dance with him. I had on a mini skirt and I mean it was really mini. I went out to the dance floor and he was actually trying to look up my skirt. He was so short! I walked back to the table and insulted I never danced with him. Then he came back later and asked me to go to his hotel with him!! I was so insulted I wouldn’t even answer him. NO!

I guess they put McLean Stevenson in there to take Richard Dawson’s place. He can never take RICHARD Dawson’s place! I always watch the reruns on TV. We are on 1978 right now and Richard Dawson is still hilarious and funny he does not try to be funny like McLean.
