Seeing that full house hand reminded me of situation I witnessed a few years ago. I was in Vegas with a large group and one of the guys was playing Mississippi stud and was doing fairly well. Like what you see in this video he started ramping his bets up. He eventually got it up to $100 ante and $100 on the 3-card bonus. He then gets dealt A-9, and in true degenerate gambler fashion announces, "I'm gonna hit this hand"! So he loads up to the $300 max to see 3rd street. First card...Ace! Of course it's a no-brainer now and loads up on 4th street and 5th street with another $300 each. 4th street...9! 5th street...ACE!! If my math is correct that was a $10,100 profit plus whatever he made on the progressive side bet! They even had to stop the game and have security review it. Took about 15 minutes before they paid him off!

Great job on the video. Your editing out the dead time while the dealer shuffles is considerate to your viewers. We play almost the same. For fun and just to see the results, I always keep up with my +3 $ separately. Just helps me see if it pays or not. Thanks. Enjoyed it.
Two years ago in December when I was in Milwaukee, my friend wants to go to the casino after we got off of work that night from the hospital, so we went to Potawatomi casino and I was there no more than 10 minutes when I hit the 5 Card straight flush, I held on to it five two of hearts and the dealer turned over 634 end up making about 3,000 and one another five thousand on the Progressive bonus and ran it up to 11000 by time I left! I promptly bought tickets to London I went there for New Year's Eve LMAO
Hi Sarah! I always watch every single video/game on your UA-cam channel. A lot of times I watch them over and over again especially table games. It’s hard for me to catch your live stream tho since I’m ten thousand miles away from you, 15 hours (ish) time difference if you’re in Las Vegas. Nice win btw! Well done! Can’t wait to watch another Mississippi Stud Poker on your channel. Many of luck from Bali, Indonesia 🇮🇩 🥂
Never played Mississippi Stud before but it looks easier than Hold'em or Pai Gow. But winning can be difficult, but when you win, you win a lot. Very interesting game.
Simple strategy would be to use a point system as follows: 2-5 = 0 pt 6-10 = 1 pt J-A = 2 pts To see the first card, you need 2 points in your 2 card hand. To see the second card, you need 3 points including the 1st card. To see the third and final card you should have 4 points between your cards and the first two cards. Wizard of odds gives the basic strategy. First time I played this at South Point here in Las Vegas I had a pair of aces, so I immediately maxed out the 3 betting positions. Dealer then turned over the remaining 2 aces.
@@lestat5328 Google “Mississippi stud” and the first or second link is to a site where I practice. If I am not mistaken, you can also get there via the Wizard of Odds website. In any case, either of those sites should help. There are differences in pay tables (I noticed that from this video that this casino in deadwood had a more favorable pay table than South Point) and that may mean altering how you play. Another way to think about it is based on the number of “outs” you have as you play. Every one or two point card shown in the community cards increases your number of outs by 3 cards at a minimum (if you are playing with just the dealer). In some cases, your number of outs increases by more. For example, if you have A,K suited and the first community card is of the same suit, your odds of getting a flush improve meaning you gain more outs. Conversely, if the second community card does not match your suited cards, your outs decrease because you cannot get a flush. With this example, I would be betting one unit to see the first card, if I did not pair either card, I would continue with a one unit bet. The second card can be trickier based on what you have between the two community cards and my hand. If you need the third card to fill an open ended straight or to complete a flush, you might max out your last bet. In the case of an open ended straight, you potentially have 8 outs, 4 cards to complete the straight from either end. For a flush draw, you have the remaining 9 cards in the same suit as your hand to fill the flush. Note: How you play is completely up to you with regards to the betting. The extended basic strategy indicates you should max out the first bet if you have a low (2-5) pocket pair. I do not feel comfortable doing that, so I only bet the original ante amount. If I hit two pair, trips or quads, I do not earn as much as I could if I had maxed out the first bet but still feel good with that play. In the end, your betting strategy should also include a level of comfort or the fun of playing can just fly out the window.
Nice job! I was at Ameristar in Council Bluffs a few weeks ago and hit for 8k (quads) betting 25 up top with a pair of 5s. I've only hit quads 2x before that but it was definitely the highest payout I've had. MS Stud is a feast or famine game but it's great when you're feasting! Thanks for sharing!

You should never play a face card if the other card is below a 6, that's an automatic fold. If you have a ace the only way you should play it if the other card is below a 6 is if they are suited. If you have pocket 2's through 5's you should always triple up your first bet, that way you win the maximum amount on any winning hand.
