Does that imply that it's not the first time Dalton has put a grasshopper on a leash?
Wait a minute...
Ferb I know what I'm gonna do today
I guess so lol
It's a southern kid thing. We used to do it all the time, along with lying as still as you can in a pasture to see if the buzzards will land on you.
He probably comes from a family of grasshopper ranchers
@@rskye11yep.
Apollo is more afraid of a birthday cake than a grasshopper.
Or a snake
To be fair, birds eat bugs in the wild, so it probably instinctively looks tastier than a cake
That bug must be more terrified than anything 😂
Also if you put candles on it it’s got actual fire on it. Scary stuff for a widdle bird.
Same thou . I’m more afraid of empty calories then insects
Dalton can fix cars, train birds, and lasso grasshoppers. A man of many talents.
truly a man off all culture
Haha yes 🤣 that's the type of man I need in my life 😂
‘Lasso grasshoppers’ is not something I thought I’d ever see written.
Getting a grasshopper on a leash sounds like a Floridian tradition
As a Floridian, I would like to confirm that every 10th of each month, we put a grasshopper on a leash.
@@brandoniscol1603 this is fantastic news
Another Floridian here, and I prefer a shock collar to a leash for my grasshoppers. More control.
Remember everyone to please get your grasshoppers spayed or neutered.

Imagine being that grasshopper. You're minding your own business, munching on some leaves. When sudden you're trapped inside an invisible cage, and then a giant spends 20 minutes tying a rope around you.
I agree, it's sad the things humans do to insects just because they can, because they are small, because they exist and because humans are afraid of who/what they don't know.

Grasshoppers are really cool. I fail to see why the female behind the camera is disgusted. There is literally not one gross thing about them. They don't eat sh!t, you won't find them in sh!t, and they don't bite humans. What's so bad? I'd love to see her reaction to my Curlyhair tarantula😂😂😂

Dalton has zero fear of bugs
They way you so calmly touch bugs as if they’re any house pets is insane to me
I can’t even be a meter close to a grasshopper without feeling ticklish in my whole body

@@nox6767no, our insect friends are coming inside
It's not a "thing". Insects are also sentient beings. Not sapient like Apollo, but still living beings that have sentience.
i never thought id watch someone put a live grasshopper on a leash and hold it up in the air like they caught a fish
That’s a big bowl
I cant believe he leashed a grasshopper
Floridian here, when i would go to my grandparents (one street away, so daily), occasionally one of these terrifying huge yellow grasshoppers would be clinging to the screen door, they would fill me with fear, i would run to the backyard/patio in frightful tears.
Growing up in Fl. my biggest fear has always been palmetto bugs, not sharks, gators, snakes, etc.
Palmetto bugs are the scariest thing in the world, huge flying roaches.😱
I never thought I could scream until I encountered those palmetto bugs 😳 I like all creatures bugs, reptiles, spiders. Palmetto bugs are evil vile monsters 😂
Just the other morning I was in the bathroom and a giant one started bolting towards me and I started screaming as I jumped over him and ran out the door... Leaving my pants behind 😂😂 now I keep all drains permanently plugged. No more demons have entered my ebode lol
@@billandlizyI don't know what those things are, and I haven't seen one in years and years, but that gave me goose bumps just reading that.
Edit: I thought the poster meant one of those giant yellow grasshopper things.
But knowing that it was palmetto bug makes it even worse. 😬
@@billandlizy they can't crawl up through drains from what I've read. They get in through the tiniest cracks though. We have them in Georgia too. They are nightmares. They don't want to live indoors, which is comforting, but if one gets in your house it's like a horror show. They can FLY but not well and they absolutely will launch themselves directly at you if you happen to walk in your living room when one happens to have found its way in. They are horrifying and huge and I hate them so much.
@@billandlizy a few years ago I was on vacation in Florida and a palmetto bug crawled right onto me while I was lying in bed. It just casually walked across my torso as I was relaxing, reading. I jumped up and screamed, it ran away. I couldn't find it, so there was no sleeping in that room that night. We have palmetto bugs in GA too, but this was the Florida version.

*I think Dalton is aiming to camp out with the grasshoppers. He clearly hasn't learned anything from the T H R E E B U G S incident.* 😂
Hello, familly!! If he were wild, would he eat the grasshopper? You see, here in Spain, the small, green parrots helped to free the palmtrees from an insect plague some years, ago!

The grasshopper on a leash absolutely made my evening, thank you that was amazing 🤣💙
As someone who loves bugs, I gotta say they were really pretty though! Cute little guys
I get Tori though, bugs are definitely not everyone's cup of tea. Let's hope Apollo got his precious box back from the little bug guy
Those pretty wings on the grasshopper were a surprise.
I found the grasshoppers adorable, but Apollo still steals the show :3
don't eww at them, they're cool
That’s what I’m saying!!
They’re my favourite
My wife would disappear me if I brought something like that into the house 😂
As someone who dissected one of those grasshoppers in middle school it's cool to see one alive and on a leash of all things
What do you mean "eWwWwW"? They're so green and pretty and friendly.
I wish I had Dalton's bravery. Granted, the lubbers only make me flinch if they decide to jump, but is he that casual with huntsman spiders, too? I'm so terrified of those that they're forcing me out of the state, lol. Everyone has their limits! Giant freaking spiders are mine.
Growing up in Queensland we always had huntsman spiders in our house, you'd see them on the walls or ceiling if you got up and switched the lights on at night. We liked them because they ate the other bugs. They're amazingly fast runners and almost seem to teleport away if they are disturbed.
Grasshopper on a leash, that's hysterical! Love the haircut, Dalton. Must feel great for the summer. 😁
That Soleil is one gorgeous little girl!

"Let's see if I can remember how to do this" is the best line
All the bugs are huge in Florida, as I recall. Never saw a Shrock, however, I think they're extinct now.
If you told me you were Kurt Cobains' secret kid, I wouldn't even bat an eye.
I would have said Daniel Radcliffe's American brother 😅
@roseg.5567 Great call! Thanks, I couldn't place who he looked like until you said Kurt Cobain.
Perfect!
I never knew you could put a grasshopper on a leash. 😂😂😂 NEW PET!
Well, I'm convinced, grasshoppers are bowls.
The giant yellow ones are called locusts. Grasshoppers only grow into locusts if their population is high enough.
This is one of my favorite Apollo videos! I do love bugs (spiders, snakes, etc. too) and am impressed by how Dalton got a leash around that big grasshopper. I did not know that grasshoppers were bad for birds too eat! Tori, your interaction with Dalton is priceless. Not everyone is a bug person. What I can’t stand is earwigs, and there are a lot of those where I live now. Apollo, I assume you did not really mean to call a grasshopper a bowl…
They're probably actually ok to eat honestly, but some of them ooze that gross tasting brown liquid from their mouths. I don't think those ones do though cause if I could have I would have by the point I was being put on a leash 😂
@@iamjustkiwi your comment, James, has given me a much-needed laugh! One of my virtual friends has just been put on hospice, and I’m heartbroken. I think I need to watch more Apollo. My brother used to pick up grasshoppers when we were kids in NY, and I’ve witnessed a lot of the brown juice!
Earwigs. Yuck.
@@birbluv9595 Hey, I know it’s five months on but I want to express my condolences. When a friend or family member goes on hospice it’s devastating. @@MeganKugs thank you so much. I’ve had so many friends and family struggling with cancer this year (two of whom are dead now), and it’s rough. 0:58 If this cute fella is an abomination then so is Apollo.
Calling it a bowl is associating it with food. Apollo sees a bug and immediately wants to eat it.
Still don't get it why people don't like grasshoppers. They're so beautiful!
Thats so awesome, Apollo mimics your English dialect when he's around you!
That blew my mind
The tone of Tory’s voice when he brought it inside! 🤣 I have to say I’d have been the same.
