- In this video I share with you my method for painting bright and beautiful anime style eyes. Enjoy :)

📝 SHOW NOTES:
Here's the link to the original Laplus post if you want to check it out - / 1635228233208860673
Also here's a Gura piece I did with the same style of eyes - / 1639585403991900160
I just want to note that I believe: the journey (of developing your skills) ≫ the destination (likes, followers, recognition etc.)
So although it's cool when a piece does well, likes obviously isn't everything, and in the long run what's most important is that you develop a style of eyes that you personally like.
I hope this tutorial was able to help give you clues on how to do so!

I’m about to binge your entire channel. You’re honestly teaching me more about actual art than my four years in college. THANK YOU!!!!
I thought art college put more emphasis on marketing/advertisement than art?
@@npc4169 not when you had to take a fine arts course with an emphasis on graphic design in Texas. 😭
@@vanguardangel6912 ah.
that explains it.
the "fine arts" part.
(at least its better than modern art)
The great, The legend, The extraordinary artist I have ever come across just drop a super helpful video. From bottom of my heart thank you so much!!
Great video again! Everything was really well explained. Especially the part where you explained contrast was helpful. You are such a legend for uploading the PSD too!
Also the Laplus artwork is so good, it feels like you are improving every video too! Thank you for the work you do!🚌
Thank you so much for this video, it came in at the right time as i was wondering on how to go about eyes, i'll definitely play around to see what I like and what works best for the piece i work on.
I was so happy for you when I saw how well this illustration did the other day!!
Thanks for making a video out of it!!
ありがとうございます!!
I just found you and you're awesome! I would love to see more coloring tutorials, especially hair, it kicks my butt every time I try to color it!
That Laplus illustration is soo good. I can't seem to find any point of critique for it. Very good use of art techniques, not just the eyes!
Tysm ♥ I've never had better results with any other tutorial!
your tutorials have greatly helped me in my understanding of shading and eyes, two things that i've struggled with for years. If it's not too much to ask, something on general texture of hair and cloths could be nice. Thank you for the help!
I have done various iris modifications, realistic, white for pupil, semi donut with spikes/haches, rectangular pupils and/or highlights, rings and dots, comas, waves etc... I like to custumize the irises of my ocs. My dragon elf has light green and light purple alternating rings, its like an illusion so when you see it from a far the eye looks to be a color inbetween.
I love your art style so much. You inspire me a lot!
you could even publish a drawing book! Everyone would take it for grabs! 🥰
can't believe this is free!
(the tutorial and the PSD)
I found the best teacher in youtube❤ thx
Explained in such detail thankyou
thank you for giving us these tips
I hope your channel can gets more views cuz it's very outstanding, super helpful but so underrated T_T
Absurdamente icrivel, seu modo de pensar me da forças para cada vez mais querer seguir essa jornada de artisa.
Yayy, looking forward to trying to decipher this! >
Honestly, my artstyle is always changing, which probably isn't a good thing. I do try to keep in consistant within a set. I enjoy stylized lighting with a water-color feel, large eyes and intense dark circles for most of my characters, regardless if it's anime or semi-realism. I also prefer most of the time to draw the eyelash color to match the hair, as it allows me to express if a makeup is bare-faced or wearing makeup or if their hair is dyed. There are exeptions, but most of the time, I do that. I recently like to include "seasonal color" analysis and waterlines into my character designs unless the scale is small or anime-esque. I kind of prefer a semi-realistic style because it allows me to include makeup and face shape. I like playing with the absense or presence of pupils, especially in an anime style. For hairstyles, I prefer to keep things relatively dull.
Really glad to have found your channel
I was just looking for an eye coloring tutorial and here it is! Thanks for the tutorial! Also with the release of 2.0 for clip studio, I recently bought it and I was wondering if you could upload a video of some tricks that you use! Great tutorial as usual :)
p.s it was cool to see your artwork as laplus's thumbnail for her return stream :D
This is very good I like this art
Omg I love this and I tried this and enjoy it! I didn’t do the last part only because I don’t separate my line art on my lashes. I keep them all the same but I did do the iris 👁️ part ❤️🥰
😭tysm, its help so much
I will fully discover myself. Thank you brother, really helpful 👍.
bro i blinked and missed the whole tutorial..- THIS VIDEO HELPED SO MUCH THOUGH TYY!!
i love this channel
Your tips on Eyes are very good! I want to add that we must also be careful not to focus too hard on smaller details. As you say, most of the blurs and highlights you added are niche and stylized choices. Most people will not care about them if we, as a result, neglect other areas of our anime picture.
Thank you! ❤
Great piece. I really like her nails actually. Can you do a tutorial on nails? 💅
Tysm 😊
thank you!
It was a very easy explanation!
If there is a next time, please give a lecture on how to paint hair!
Glad to hear that! I will think about it :)
could you do a small tutorial on how to draw hands? I've been having trouble drawing them!
the video is so useful that my brain thinks this is theory
so it doesnt want to listen
i listened the first half tried it and got an actual lookable eye
how did you render the hair that seems like transparent when it overlaps the eyelashes?
Your content is godsend !
TY
how do u draw eyes ?
what is a good trick to pu the focus in the eyes, my problem is all my eyes look to nothing , they look soulless
Would it be different if the character is male?
ngl I kind of like the high contrast eyes that you said looks bad. Makes her look like an evil demon.
I would be happy of a video with „how to grow on Twitter as artist“. It’s seems to be so hard ..
💙
Bruh this recommended video my fucking hero
ああ、ありがとうございます!!私のアートわすごい (hope i wrote it without grammatical errors, i wrote it by myself)
upd: oop i forgot u can speak english too T_T
It’s very good but I wouldn’t say you have your own style. It looks exactly like every other popular anime artist 😅
