- On the inauguration of Nalanda University’s new campus on June 19, External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar asserted the fact that in the rebuilding of Nalanda University, there are multiple messages, both national and international.
“...Nalanda University served a larger role by connecting our society with those our near and far neighbours through land and sea...the university’s destruction marked a downturn in our history and is continued through the colonial period. In that era, we not only saw a decline in our capabilities and confidence but in our connectivity as well with those nations who are now members of the East Asia Summit. In the rebuilding of Nalanda University, there are multiple messages, both national and international,” said Dr S Jaishankar.

Nalanda University should become first with IIT + AIIMS + IIM all combined in one campus to make it as a prestigious university to defend its glorious name.
Education ≠ IIT/IIM/AIIMS
Real education cannot be compared with competitive institutions that gives opportunity only to a small group of people.
The old Nalanda was popular because it accommodated any seeker thirsty for knowledge.
@@jayanthnmurthy Include other seeker dimensions as well, but these institutions are best in what they do and so Nalanda should start from the best and evolve from there on. Unfortunately cannot take everyone in because of limitations that is why competitive test is required, At least seats will increase if Nalanda becomes one of those.

Hinduism is so complex and heterogeneous they they still couldn't destroy the hindu culture or religion by destroying the Language and the written forms of books. They forget hindus have the concept of Shruti and Smriti. You could destroy written books but not knowledge stored in brain.

I so glad its been built again. May Bharat and Bihar reach its glory again may it become the center of learning again. I also hope they redevelop other ancient universities like Vikramshila University.
Please have Sanksrit wing where you teach ancient texts like susrtutha sanhita and Chanakya nithi, artha shastra and all of those books. Find out the lost ancient texts and get the ones from Europe and US and wherever these texts are (stolen) and build an ecosystem. Teach Sanskrit language or get the students who have learnt sanskrit since childhood and give them admissions into this wing.. just a thought. We have to ensure the survival of the ancient knowledge and wisdom through this university like how it exactly ran for 8 centuries from 4th century to 12th century.. Jai Hind 🙏
