Alright got everything installed a little while ago finally updating on my experience. The bumper does require some “modification” as it is NOT a direct fitment, the plastic wheel well needs to be cut so there are no interference or clearance issues. The factory windshield washer reservoir funnel tube will have to be wedges against the battery in order for it to still fit, nothing major but I’ll be fixing that ASAP as I’m way to picky about my car. Last but not least this will take you somewhere around 5-6 hours to install, ALSO do not forget if your 18+ wrx to transfers the electric 2 pin connector over to your turbo housing inlet newly provided Pcv hose.
Great to hear you were able to complete this install. yes unfortunately after the most resent refresh to the car the front mount will require slight trimming as the bumper will now touch the front mount.

Product is great I’ve had no knock or DAM drops and I’m running 10.7-11.2 on WOT without a tune so it’s perfectly in specification for driving, I’ll be re-tuning the vehicle for the intercooler later this week so I can see the added power gains. Intake temp hasn’t went above 106f and stays around 65-75 on moderate city driving. Do you sell a windshield fluid reservoir for the revised bumper fitment, that would really help my ocd knowing that the funnel tube leading down is back in its home. Thank you

Unfortunately no reservoir for your model yet to be able to help with this.
Such amazing videos, put together so well :)
Hey Mishimoto, I just finished installing your FMIC and I LOVE IT! Will be writing a good review but one question, Why do you guys have FMIC install guides on every year but the 2008-2014 Subaru’s?
Hey Denzel, the install for those is fairly similar to the 01-07 kit so most customers will use that for reference. We found a majority of our customers were having shops install these originally so a new video was never produced for the DIY crowd.
17:01 still has the top mount intercooler, haha
tremonti yea i was like….. wutha :/
+tremonti +jus2phast4uLGT Oh no, you're absolutely right! Thanks for bringing it to our attention! We filmed over a period of time in which both intercoolers were uninstalled and installed quite a few times. We will be adding a note in the video. :)
I ordered a mishimoto fmic my question is can I use a Perrin turbo inlet or would it not work with the fmic tubes
As long as the Perrin turbo inlet is positioned the same a stock this should not be a problem
Can you leave the intercooler exposed without the grill ? Or would you recommend leaving the grill how it is
Can this and the oil cooler be used together
Unfortunately this would not work, without modification to the oil cooler location the two parts would not be compatible.
so fo the catch can do we negate the crank case hose that came with the front mount? and just use catch can hoses? I already have the front mount installed and want to get the catch can
Hey John! Here's the install guide for our catch can kit - this should clear things up for you! cdn.mishimoto.com/media/productpdf/MMBCC-WRX-15_InstallGuide.pdf
hi does it fix if i have the mishimoto oil cooler?
Unfortunately the front mount intercooler will not fit with the oil cooler in place. The oil cooler would need to be relocated to another available space
So i dont get my fmic for another couple of weeks but why are we rerouting the serpentine belt? lol
Hola!! Tienen este video en español?
Desafortunadamente no tenemos nuestro videos disponible en español
How's the compatibility between the fmic and your oil cooler?
My wrx has a catch can, a mishimoto intake, and a invidia catless J pipe (single) should I get the fmic?
You will want to look over your power levels to see if this is justified. If you are not making much above stock an upgraded top mount might be the better choice
Can this work with the CVT?
This should work with the CVT cars no problem
My front bumper wouldn't fit with the piping the part of the fog light hit the piping need help?
Hi Wrx Enthusiasts - If you're still having difficulty, please contact our customer service specialists at 1-877-GOMISHI or email support@mishimoto.com! Also, here is a link to a PDF installation guide: cdn.mishimoto.com/media/productpdf/MMINT-WRX-15_InstallGuide.pdf
Yep no lie this took about 5-6 hours lol just a lot of tight places that take a while to get worked out. Very please though
Where does the license plate relocate go ?
This would no longer be an option once the intercooler is installed.
Will this still fit with the mishimoto radiator?
Yes, the radiator will have no issues fitting with our front mount intercooler.
the coupler near the battery is hitting my stock oil cap for my wrx.. any fix??
Try loosening the clamps on the couplers to allow them to rotate and move. Sounds like you just need to make a slight adjustment to the couplers.
what a pain in the ass!
