am 70 , first heard her on the show Elementary....when i heard this song i was blown away..i have watched this video for years and just now put it up again...love it...her new work is great and recently saw a recent concert of hers...she is fantastic...for me way better than Taylor Swift....it is beyond me that Swift is so popular...but to each his / her own...Sharon is tops !!
I'm an addict trying so flipping hard to stay clean. This song might be healing my neurotransmitter activity . At least it's not a full-on relapse. Just as addictive though. That smile at around 2:15 .....
Brett Jones Awww, thanks, Brett . When I saw that someone had replied to my comment, I expected it to be someone saying something mean-spirited . Your reply made my day. And I will , BTW . Again, a warm thank you .
God, I love this woman! She is so simple and real and melodic. Such feeling is rare these days. The addition of a band takes her music to another level entirely.
welda alamsah Hi Welda , yes , I think it IS played in standard tuning. I only guess tat because she is playing regular charts on her guitar. I guess I will try to play this song in an open tuning ... only because I LOVE to play in open tunings. Like Joni Mitchell played often in open tunings. xO
I like her work, and I like it's downbeat sound, but the smiles ARE few, far between, and wan at best... she almost smiles several times. I understand that's the work, but without too many change-ups, variations or humor, I could get over it after not too long. I like her, but maybe not to be around all the time (and I'm a Richard Thompson fan, so I like the downbeat, but Richard is NEVER boring).

Keep holding on, Lisa. I hope you are clean by now. ❤
She is an unbelievable talent, all of her lyrics are incredible. A musical genius, too.

Best version of this song anywhere. Julianna makes it.

I'll make a time machine/ will go to her(ten years before today) and propose her

high as a kite, lol
its sound using standard tuning or not ?

It's in standard. The verse chords are E, F#m, A, B, A, B, with slight variations of that pattern for the intro, bridge, and chorus portions.

I wish she wasn't married, then I probably would stalk her.
