Glad you shared this. It's been one of my several gripes with the new Tundra. This looks like an affordable and easy fix to their glaring omission. Because of how far back these sit from the front bumper overhang, I worry if they were needed that any rope / chain would likely damage the front bumper unless the rope / chain was pulling straight out. Any incline or upward angle would put it right into the bumper.
Really? Is it enough? I want to get the set but worried about the front bumper. Let me know! if it really does help I'll buy hooks and the soft shackle! thanks! @@OutdoorLifestyleOverland
Great Mod! I just bought a base SR Tundra and for me to sign the deal I requested the same hooks! dealer accepted and installed them, can't wait to try them out!
Im trying to find a way to turn off the seatbelt chime. I wear my seatbelt unless im backing up a trailer or im out in a field on my property where a seatbelt isn’t needed. The chime is annoying. Im considering unplugging a little connector under the seat that appears to be attached to the seatbelt to see if that takes care of it but im a little concerned it could make something else mess up potentially but who knows
Ya, it's freaking terrible. Don't unplug it since it is also connected to your SRS and will throw your airbag codes, and that's a whole mess. I also asked my dealer about getting rid of the chimes and being able to put the car in drive with the door open without the car freaking out and slamming on the E break. My service advisor is looking into it and said I would have to sign a release, so I hope they find a way to turn off the chimes!
R unable to remove the skid plate with the recovery shackles installed? I know Toyota designed them to be able to slide out on one side without removing all the bolts, but seeing how close the shackles are u might have to remove everything

I attached a soft shackle to one of the tow hooks, and that gave me a lot more leeway when needing a recover

Dig the red. Won’t that be a pain in the ass to actually use them though? Pretty far back?

@@OutdoorLifestyleOverland kool I have the same model
@@chiosaeteurn9790 NICE!
Another question for ya, did you remove the active air dam on your truck? Looks clean without it.
My trim did not come with it, thankfully.
@OutdoorLifestyleOverland That's cool, that thing is ugly and a pain in my butt! Your truck looks great!

When you get an oil change and the skid plate has to be pulled, is there any wiggle room to slide it off?
Yes, it has some wiggle room to slide off the skid plate
@OutdoorLifestyleOverland thank you!
What’s on your grill for the color?

Yes, you can remove the skid plate without removing the shackles
Dude I have the same impact and I could not get those sway bar bracket bolts out….😩😩
Get a big braker bar from Harbor Fright
Yeah I got it, I had to put my purse down.
@@AlaskanMatt907 That is a good one, lol
Once the slack comes out of the cable/chain thats towing you, you can kiss your front end goodbye. Gonna rip ur bumper right off.
Last I checked my front bumper is still intact
@@OutdoorLifestyleOverlandI also thought that the front bumper might come off or damaged by the cable/chain that's pulling you...
Do these fit a 2024 tundra trd pro
Yes they do
