- GMC invited me out to drive and review the new 2024 Hummer EV SUV. This video is full review of the new electric Hummer EV SUV. I show exterior shots, interior shots, driving shots, off roading, and my overall opinions and impressions of how this super SUV drives.
I had an amazing trip and am so blessed GMC allowed me to come out and check out this incredible SUV.

Great info on the Pro side of things. But I'm sure we all want to know what is the national average cost to charge this from a home 110 outlet from a depleted battery and how long does it take to get a full charge. What is the cost to insure ? I read last week that even in small crashes (in other cars) when the battery is damaged, it is not repairable. The insurers are totaling the cars. Hense higher rates for EVs. What is the GMC warranty for the battery? If out of warranty what is the cost of replacement. Does driving off road void the warranty ? Many dealers will say abuse of the vechical voids the warranty.
Those are great questions I don’t have an answer to though

Your audio was difficult to listen to and almost made me stop watching. 🙉 Notice how at 5:11 the video quality changed for the better. 👍 Perhaps when you are far away from your telephone or camera, you could record a video with another phone and place it in your pocket. 📱 That way, the audio would be closer to you, and there wouldn't be as much echo. 🗣️

Cmon “good for the environment”.. the battery resources and disposal are gonna be a nightmare not to far off.. also look up “thermal runaway”.. I’m tired of hearing about EVs being environmentally safe.. they’re a disaster in the making .. I’m not against them.. just don’t blow smoke up peoples asses

Are smaller wheels and taller tires actually better for real off road? My truck is a Tacoma TRD 4x4 Off Road and only has 18" wheels, but big tires.

@@Drive615 I looked again. My wheels are only 16", but really tall tires. I guess better for real offroad. More on ground surface area when you need to air down? I do keep a pump in the truck and straps. Haven't needed them..yet..

I can tell this guy isn't from the Motor City. He seems to think the V8 motor is from back in the day on the older H2 Hummer his family had but they put the very same size V8 motor in all the Escalades and many other vehicles made today but he did okay "super quickly" pointing out some of the really nice features. I know a few more things about this high tech space like truck. This is not just another EV. The Edition one Moonshot Green lunar color Hummer EV SUV is supposed to be a serious representative for a new frontier for both GM and for mankind. So the Moonshot Green is to honor that big step just as man landing on the moon was. The "cool lunar design" in the back is indeed a map of the moon. The front door speaker grills are a map of the "Sea of Tranquility" on the moon. The brake pedal is actually a real mold of Neil Armstrong's boot print, the first astronaut who stepped onto the moon. A very cool feature! The so called flat straight rear tail lights if you look closely are shaped like an H and that "H" design can be found outside and inside the truck, even the front charging indicator headlight is a long very wide H. An American flag logo is nestled in the top left upper trim corner of the side rear windows paying hommage to the freedom we enjoy in our great country. Even the freedom to choose which vehicles we drive is one of those choices so whether you like EV or gas powered vehicles there is something for everyone! Being from the motor city, I've enjoyed seeing these trucks being road tested in the area during both rainy and snowy weather. I've even seen a couple broken and being towed but that's what testing is for, to fix the bugs. We've even driven down the road side by side with me in my older gas guzzler H2 at times. Both are impressive vehicles and have their great style. Even the H1, H2 and H3 are having a revival with people hunting down the discontinued older models to buy. Right now I can't say our gas bill is any higher than our electric bill because they are both really super high so they need to figure that out because a person's transition to an EV should be a pleasure not a pain. Hope they get it together with the decisions regarding this and the unnaffordability of these vehicles to the average family.
Love the SUV, why get a Tesla, the 800 hp and 11k of torque, it is a beast while Tesla is just a car!

How tall are you when you are next to the car makes me feel the the hommer is small

I have a 2004 Chevy Tracker 4x4 and it does 0 to 60 in 15 minutes. I take my mom to her chemotherapy n she tells me it drives like a Cadillac very smoothly, I tell her mom don't worry I'm getting an SUV (not that HUMMEREV that's too rich for my blood)that is more comfortable and smoother than this. I have a question, what HUMMEREV WILL DO IN 0TO60? I can imagen it will go 0 to 60 in 6 seconds. Thanks for the video. That HUMMER is sick, It looks like something that is out of the STAR TREK movie.
