- This soymilk has a wonderful malted flavor and silky texture. It’s a favorite around our house, and has become our go-to recipe. I developed this recipe for the new Soyquick Premier Milk Maker 930P, which is filterless. Go towww.juliehasso... for the recipe.
very true! Soy is not evil! I do want to find out if this machine can be used to make rice and nut milks too, I have been told by a nutritionist that it is best to vary them. Almond and hemp milk are very good for you!
i just looked at the site and you can make soymilk, rice milk, nut milks, mung bean milk, grain and oat milks, tofu and soy yogurt with this! You can use the leftover pulp to make things too. More versatile than the name suggests. I think I might save up for one, it sounds worth the investment.
I love this recipe .you are genius.thank you
Love soy milk. I've been buying it for several years but my favorite brand has been bought by another company and the quality has changed. The organic price is about $7 a gallon. YIKES! I heard that making my own can reduce the cost a lot. So, I've decided to use my masticating juicer to crush the soy beans using a recipe I found online. I just bought 2 lbs of organic soy beans and they are soaking now. If the taste is to my liking then I may buy an automatic maker. Thanks for the tips!!!
Thanks for sharing cooksalot1! I love my Soy Quick too. I should try soaking all of my beans at once too.
I completely agree! She's incredibly good at what she does. They need a vegan chef on that crazy channel. It would be kind of funny if they put Julie's show in the time slot directly following Paula Deen.
I like the coffee filter ideal, thanks!
@Livelyanv I think that the Barley Malt syrup can sometimes be bitter tasting. I would just do it without the malt.
Good luck!
Are you making it in a blender or a soymilk machine? If you have a strong blender you don't have to soak them.
i have a question, if i want to make almond milk do i have to soak the almonds like i did with the soybeans????
I can’t seem to find your exact recipe... what are the portions of each ingredient?
Has anyone ever tried using wheatgrass berries (soaked, of course) when making soy milk? The chewy wheatgrass berries have a delicious nutty flavor that tastes great on their own or sprinkled on oatmeal, salads, etc.. I'll try adding the wheatgrass to my soy milk recipe in the future. So many possibilities....
I make soymilk every week and have so much soy pulp accumulating that I might invest in a dehydrator to dry them for storage, because I definitely need a break from making soy pulp patties--but my homemade soy burgers are so darn delicious. 🙃
As hilarious as this throwback video is, I just got one of these machines and it works great. I'm already wondering what I'm going to do with all the okara?? Do you have a go-to recipe for your burgers?? :D
@@boorayin2773 I make the soybean burger recipe from the vegetarian times website but I use soy pulp instead. It is mixed with oats and millet. There's also the okara sea burger recipe from Mary's test kitchen, but it doesn't always stick together.
I picked up one of these off ebay. Whats the best way to enrich soymilk? i drink milk mainly for the calcium and because water doesnt taste as good with cornflakes
Emm, you just explained a maachine and the recipe that comes along with it, mmmh. well still good to see you back :)
Also im rewatching this to write down the recipe however there seems to be something missing. how much soy beans are you using?
is silk soymilk good for you? i went to their web site and it says that it actually reduces the risks of cancer and it is good for vegatarians, cholesterol free, lactose and dairy free , 6 grams of soy protien. and it says it reduces the risk of heart disease. it also says its all natural soymilk.
@HuffleSlytherin1 With mine, I use Silk's Organic Unsweetened Soymilk to cook with. It has a very neutral flavor and is perfect. I make vegan scalloped potatoes, vegan macaroni and cheese, etc, etc. and it comes out great! Try it! :)
I liked that she said to save the left over 'pulp' (what I call it) from the soy milk and use it in cookies etc. I buy organic non GMO soy beans and love this machine and homemade soy milk. Will check out her everydaydish.tv site.
I know that would be Jellotastically funny.I am lazy so I just buy chocolate soymilk at the store. But good video.I SO wish they had a vegan cooking show on foodnetwork but they are incosiderate and do not.
She really belongs on the food network! Are you listening TVFN?

I will marry my current girl friend if she does this for me every 4 days.
i cant eat or drink soy but i thought i watch it just cause i was wondering how soy milk is made ( i cant have it cause of allerigic to soy )
Actually, this recipe doesn't come with the machine. It's one I created.
cool, i didn' know you had a twin
@googo151 If this was made by the Food Network they'd do better camera work and edit this down to about 3 minutes.
So this video is really an infomercial for her "soy milk maker..." It completely ignores the critical steps required for making soy milk, leaving them to the "convenience" of the expensive electric machine.
I suggest those interested in making soy milk find recipe which discusses about how to cook the beans, how to pulverize them (no indication about how her machine does this) and uses of the okara left over.
My bad then, was kinda harsh, sorry
Simmer down boys! Well, we have to admit, she's a babe!
there will be still enough, believe me ;D
Even better she belongs on my mushroom tip!
Reality check: This is an extended commercial/infomercial for a commercial machine. Unplug from the grid!
p.s. Soy milk is bad for you. Try rice milk or almond milk!
I don't have machine, I just want to make soy milk. So why don't you just bog off. Oh, and don't talk so much and get rid of that idiot music.
Does anyone here still have the instructions for the SoyQuick, I would be grateful if you could share with me pkeae😊
