have diferences in this game, the US version is much more dificult to a japan version!!!! tanks in US version moove much more fast! In the nintendo famicom version called ""batle city"" you shot in the ""eagle"" and Destroy your proper base! IN the Arcade Nanco version its no possible you destroy the eagle!!!
Tank Battalion and Battle City allows you to shoot the eagle which causes an instant game over. They decided to fix this in Tank Force to prevent that the (or one) player acts stupidly destroying the eagle on purpose. Are you sure that the US version of Tank Force is harder than the Japanese one? Because when i played both the JP Version and the US 2 players one, i didn't see any difference in gameplay except for the text that in the JP version is in japanese, while in the US version is in english. I played these version once because i usually play the US 4 players version which essentialy the same as the 2 player one, but with expanded fun.
play the American version with only 1 player, in normal mode and play the Japanese version with 1 player only on normal difficulty too and you will see that the enemy tanks in the American version are faster, it seems that they are adjusted to be faster and they seem adjusted for a higher difficulty, compare the two versions.@@darkerfalcon3747

A great sequel to Tank Battalion. If only they had made a similar quality sequel to Warp & Warp... or Rally-X

There's actually a difficulty option in the arcade version that determines how fast the enemy tanks will move.
