I was jig and jerkbait fishing with a friend in New York during late spring or early summer (early June, 2014). We were on a float trip on a small river, and we were fishing mostly by working husky jerks with a stop and go retrieve and by jigging 1/4 oz. black and chartreuse bucktail jigs. We ended up hooking into four walleye over 20" (with two over 24"), some smallmouth bass, a jumbo yellow perch, and a pike before the day was over.
