This episode was *PEAK THE BOYS!!!* I swear we had so many incredible and long-awaited moments. I saw the depressing scene of the Boys getting caught by Homelander's superhero regime, especially with Homelander turning Neuman into a martyr at the top of the political hierarchy of power, not to mention bringing back Soldier Boy. Butcher is officially letting Joe take over with the virus and the living parasite inside him. Bro Kimiko's first words, screaming "NO" when seeing Frenchie taken away, was heartbreaking.😭 *SEASON 5 IS GOING TO BE A DIABOLICAL END TO THIS AMAZING SHOW!*

She was scared, worried for her daughter, willing to give up everything for her safety, opened up to Hughie and then she got wrapped by Butcher by the eyes and hands... if it was peak Neuman, she would have time to instantly pop Butcher's head or tentacles before it reaches her... she has quick reaction time but not here, so I blamed the writers wanting her to die right here without putting up a good fight and having a terrible fate closure. Every important supes were kept alive, Butcher could have died a thousand times but that wasn't the plan, Neuman didn't even get any redemption arc (like A train) and she was destined to die here. I really hate this decision. And I really don't care about Queen Maeve or Soldier boy fighting Homelander in season 5 because we seen it before... Neuman vs Homelander would have been great, or it would be awesome that she can survive in her blood form but the actress confirmed her death sadly.

The starlight getting upset with hughie seemed a little off to be, dude was legit sexually assaulted, i do get her being upset but i think going after that sex dynamic was weird because that wasn't hughie consenting to her. Though at least it was brushed passed and we got to where we have been waiting for annie to get to all season. And honestly that kinda fits the whole tone for me this season. Some things were off to me(still confused on how the lab neuman had setup for the virus was so terribly ran and few other things) but we ended on SUCH a high note and i really do think they did a fantastic job setting up the next season. So i fuck with it all. Can't wait for more.

Yea...no. Even in season 3 with the Herogasm episode, the main focus was still the plot and the gross orgy shit was just kinda there in the background. This season they were taking the fucking piss with the absurd disgusting scenes. Most of them were just there for the sake of it and served no purpose to the overall plot. Like the Tek Knight and Hughie scene. Went on for far too long and in the grand scheme of things it did nothing for the overall narrative (barring adding more psychological trauma to Hughie, which has ultimately been handled poorly thus far).

Episode 6 had so many scenes that could have been removed or reworked that wouldn't have affected the overall narrative. Like did we really need to see Webweaver shit webs in MM's face? Another scene that could have ultimately been skipped and just gotten straight to the point of getting the info from webweaver. There were many such examples this season. So much screen time was wasted on scenes that are only there for edgy shock value.

The starlight getting upset with hughie seemed a little off to be, dude was legit sexually assaulted, i do get her being upset but i think going after that sex dynamic was weird because that wasn't hughie consenting to her. Though at least it was brushed passed and we got to where we have been waiting for annie to get to all season. And honestly that kinda fits the whole tone for me this season. Some things were off to me(still confused on how the lab neuman had setup for the virus was so terribly ran and few other things) but we ended on SUCH a high note and i really do think they did a fantastic job setting up the next season. So i fuck with it all. Can't wait for more.

Yea...no. Even in season 3 with the Herogasm episode, the main focus was still the plot and the gross orgy shit was just kinda there in the background. This season they were taking the fucking piss with the absurd disgusting scenes. Most of them were just there for the sake of it and served no purpose to the overall plot. Like the Tek Knight and Hughie scene. Went on for far too long and in the grand scheme of things it did nothing for the overall narrative (barring adding more psychological trauma to Hughie, which has ultimately been handled poorly thus far).

The Tek Knight episode (toned down compared to the comics) revealed the plot by Homelander and Sage, to create internment camps. And do you really think Ashley ticking and licking Hughie’s feet was the most disgusting thing that ever happened on the show? All Tek Knight did to him was threaten to put more holes in him.

The problem is that season 4 had a lot more of them than previous seasons and like I said most of them did nothing for the plot. The Tek Knight and Hughie scene did NOT reveal the internment plan plot. That happened AFTER all the wasted screentime on Hughie torture. Episode 6 had so many scenes that could have been removed or reworked that wouldn't have affected the overall narrative. Like did we really need to see Webweaver shit webs in MM's face? Another scene that could have ultimately been skipped and just gotten straight to the point of getting the info from webweaver. There were many such examples this season. So much screen time was wasted on scenes that are only there for edgy shock value.
