Since Allah SWT will give him permission to withhold rains and cause drought, the believers will be facing very very intense trials (Extreme Hunger, Divorces, Humiliations, etc.).

That is to protect and hide our family members from having any contact with Dajjal, until death comes to us. This hadith implies how powerful Dajjal's deceptions will be for the people. Since Allah SWT will give him permission to withhold rains and cause drought, the believers will be facing very very intense trials (Extreme Hunger, Divorces, Humiliations, etc.).
