I hope you can keep this channel going. There are a few classic camera channels. They talk a lot about specs but they need to go out and shoot with the camera. Appreciate the sample photos.
I got one of these plus several other cameras when a nearby school gutted their photography department. I bought a new battery for it not knowing if it even worked but luckily it works fine! It takes surprisingly sharp images and very interesting (and sometimes annoying) to use! I have never seen another camera with both a digital screen and a genuine rangefinder.
The G6 is a joy to use with a great set of features like ND-filter, F2 lens and RAW functionality. 7 MP is just enough, unless you need to crop a lot. 😁Your copy looks to be in mint condition!
I bought a G6 in 2019 during lockdown all before the digicam revolution while my DSLR was in repairs, have owned 7 or 8 cameras, none of whose pictures I've enjoyed as much as the g6, sadly it died last month :(

the motor on the lenses for yours shouldnt make that sound, it should sound like it did at 1:41, no rumbling
