Automatic fuel door, so when you got to refuel on the side of the road, you just put out your gasoline gallon tank and after you shut the trunk the fuel door automaticly opens, saving you like 2 seconds of time. Lol!
When I was shopping for a new 1987 Nissan Sentra wagon, the salesman brought me into the garage and showed me a "special" one he had, it was the 4WD version. I looked at it and thought that the 4wd system was just one more thing to go wrong so I declined. I did purchase the 2wd version. Owned it for 8 years and 250,000 miles then sold it to a coworker who put on an additional 150,000 miles. Loved that car!

Twin Cities Dashcam hopefully he does. My dad has an 88 and I had an 89 and when I got rid of mine. I regretted it. I then figured maybe I will buy my dad’s once he feels like selling it. He junked it without telling me. I was pissed. I want my Nissan Sentra back. I miss having my first car.
@rustyshackleford6799 😢same I had a sentra 4 door but I had am 87 really loved that car but I didn't really know too much about cars back than so I just got rid of it
Yea I saw a few growing up In the early 90s as a kid im an 89 baby though I remember they had a hatchback version this and a sport back all together On this gen it was 5 versions I still wish they had cars like this from the 80s early 90s because they had multiple versions of vehicle styles compared to what we have been 👀
I'd buy one in a heartbeat. I have a 4 door FWD 1989 Sentra Sedan, same color. Ive had it for 3 years and love it to pieces. But I have to say that I love the hatchback as well and will hunt for one of my own
Me. I'm the target market. I almost bought one not long ago because it was a 4WD manual wagon. I wanted to turbo charge it and have a blast. It was a bit too far away with too many issues though. B13 Sentra is still my favorite.
I was the original owner of the vehicle. The car came from a Nissan dealership in Salisbury, MD. It was a sporty choice, like a Subaru wagon and wanted stickshift. In addition it held my drum kit well for transport. It was a house deal so it made great sense at the time to go Nissan.
I had a 1988 Nissan Sentra Sportswagon. It was a 1.6L carburatored engine 5 speed manual with manual steering and manual windows, front wheel drive. It went ok, not overly powerful but could still travel long distance and had a noticeable power advantage over the 1.4L that I also tested. I found this Soo ecomical. I could fit my 29 inch mountain bike with some travel bags and that in the boot with the back seats folded down. I'm in the right hand drive region and I never had that hump on the floor on either front seat
I actually work for Nissan as a salesperson and I wanna say there's something about ".....I have know idea who would buy this car" that feels like the perfect pitch for me to want to buy this car
I bought that car new in 1987 (two wheel drive manual version). When I walked into the dealer to look at the Sentra Wagon, the salesman said that he had the 4wd version at the same price (about $8,700). I looked at it and figured there was just more stuff to break so I stuck with the 2wd. I'm glad I did. 8 years and 250k trouble free miles later I sold it to a coworker who put on another 150k miles over the next 4 years. That was an awesome car.
@@andrewcnewell hey man I'm 60 so my memory is shot. Going back throug the comments I saw my previous almost identical comment. I just saw a low mileage mint condition 1987 Nissan Maxima wagon for sale on Ebay motors and brought back those memories again!
i had the fastback three door version of this and finally realized the first winter i had it, what made it worth having. It was amazing in the snow and slush
I bought one in college. It was blue and it went everywhere. (Even offroad if I picked my lines for the low clearances)I lived in snowy Central Oregon and had wrecked my first car, 1980 AMC Eagle AWD Wagon. (Which was a gas hog). The Sentra
This generation of the Sentra (Along side the previous and next generation) got called "Tsuru" in Mexico, and this particular one was called "Tsuru Vagoneta" (Which means Tsuru Stationwagon), they only were FWD, there were never a 4WD or AWD in Mexico, so watching this as a mexican is pretty impressive to see a 4WD Tsuru Vagoneta.
common issue on california is trunk cable and fuel door is messing up after time thats also the reason why i changed mine from cable to key but the trunk can be opened via cable
They weren't thinking about the west in any way. This is Japan thinking about Japan. Lil 4wd wagons that carry goods around the countryside. FF with optional 4dw for bad roads but fuel economy.
I would by it and transplant a sr20det or Rb26det and use the rear diff in it, i owned thr fwd version slammed on the ssr deepdish and it looked sick asf like the nissan version of the AE86
@@VehicleHunter lol my daughter and I watched your video, she's 8 y.o she told me to asked why it opened LoL. I'm just a father to my daughter. We have 1988 Nissan Cali

that gas lid tho when you closed the hatch
Justin David Ocfemia dude I saw the same thing. This was my first car, except mine was fwd, blue, and fifth gear didn't work.
Lmao!!

Was it rwd? Or fwd
I had the 2 door 2wd version of this car. I swapped the ca18de into it from a pulsar. Was a blast. I regret getting rid of it.
I would buy one of these for sure, as a Tercel owner the benefit in my eyes over it, is the Fuel injection.
Northfork Network I did not think the Sentra got fuel injection until 1990?

I would definitely. Imagine swapping a SR20DET or a SR20VE in there.
My parents have an '88 (bought new) that is still in really good condition. I'm trying to get my dad to sell it to me.

They were probably targeting the Subaru market of that time. That thing reminds me of my old Loyale wagon in a lot of ways.

yeah 80s baby
I never knew they made a 4 wheel drive nissan sentra that's pretty cool.
The feature I love is when you open the trunk the gas lid opens.

Mu dad had one 1989 Nissan Sentra Sedan with the 1.6 12 valve engine. 90 or 92 HP. Love thatlittle thing, I didn't know it came 4WD.

I am actually trying to build one since it never came as such in the Philippines.
Edward Frenn Mariano I have a similar car though Nissan California 1988 E-15.
I learned how to drive stick and took my driver's test in a Blue Sentra GXE Wagon with roof rack. (2WD). Miss this car!

I have one 87 fwd .awsome

I know a coastal engineer uses this as his 'beach cruiser'
Yes, I like the AWD. I prefer 4 door sedan. The colour light blue metallic. 1987 model.
I would buy it.
Mines a 1985 fwd the same color grey
Any one else notice how when he closed the trunk the gas tank opened up lol. 2022 btw

I WANT THIS SENTRA AND A DATSUN B210 1974
Why not?? Love to have one?
i'd rather have this than the Turdcell wagon
Nissan should make an AWD Sentra hatchback. Toyota and Honda have hatchback equivalents of the 2022 Corolla and Civic.

Someone in Virginia who's sick of seeing Subarus everywhere but wants AWD.
Where is it now? Do you know where to get parts for it?
I'd buy It...that thing is sexy! I have the fwd sedan version now.
Alguien sabe donde puedo conseguir partes para este modelo ???
I have this car but with smaller engine and no 4wd
Rare! Does not even come close
For snow roads.
No, not even on snow roads. I owned one of these and I live in Salt Lake City. It had so little power that the 4WD didn't make a difference.
Why the gas door opened when you close the truck door? Pls explain. Thank you.
It's magic.
