All these multi billion dollar phone companies are releasing these phones with 3 or 4 cameras and a max of 13 megapixels while Xiaomi is out here like “screw it! Throw five cameras on there, oh and make like....idk..... 108 MEGAPIXELS!! I didn’t even know if 20 megapixels was possible on a phone much less 5x that amount!! “Oh, and make one of those lenses a macro lense while your at it so customers don’t need to buy that separately. And the zoom? Eh, 50x should be enough right?” I’m so proud of you Xiaomi, getting straight to the point and giving the people what they want!! 😂
Pls tell me, how You can shoot 4K video on this small 2MP macro sensor, when 4K is actually 12MP res?

@@caedes550 16mp was a standerd for time then they went back to 12mp. but theres beeen a few high ones as well like 38mp from nokia

I'm convinced now, when a professional uses the camera it is night and day vs normal tech reviewer.
Jek when it comes about cameras its better to trust professionals because they can take the most out of them a tech UA-camr just reads spects

@@rsaint3222 Yeah. I saw someone test out the Mi note 10 camera and it looks so bad, I don't know how they did that, even I who doesn't know photography, I know how to see or properly take a picture.
@@xbxb Yeah. I was excited about the phone so I watched some videos about the camera and I decided not to go with mi note 10 but good thing I saw this review and I changed my mind.
Xiaomi's not playing playing around with this one. This phone probably has the best camera setup I've seen in a while. Amazing!!!

That portrait mode is pretty damn good! Xiaomi really stepped up the processing here for sure
It’s ducking unbelievable. iPhone and pixel need to really step up
I have one of their cheaper phones, the Mi9T, with 3 lenses. The bokeh and edge detection is awesome. It looks pretty natural.
Xiaomi could improve their camera app, it's really bad
@@cristianaguilar7794 the iPhone is still pretty decent. Idk why but the Pixel's portrait mode never really looked natural to me.

I had a pixel and now have a Redmi note 8 pro and can even say the only place the pixel can beat it is in super low light. Other than that it gets crushed

Nokia take note, this is how you make a 5 camera lens work.
No. Nokia 9 PureView is meant for professional users who shoot in RAW and edit it afterwards. That's the reason they didn't market it as mass market device and marketed it as limited edition. No other smartphone holds a candle to Nokia 9 PureView when it comes to bringing out tons of data from RAW dng file.
@@swapnilsonawane9874 The problem was Nokia using the old Snapdragon 845, it couldn't handle the data processing, which caused the camera app to constantly crash and take ages to process 1 picture. And only 128 gb internal storage, non expandable hardly suffice for a camera that shoots in RAW. Hopefully Nokia will tackle the issue in the Next flagship phone. However it does take amazingly detailed pictures and it is stock android so points for that.
@@ghostfaceddd It was just poor computational photography at work. A Snapdragon 845 should have been good enough to deal with those images if the Snapdragon 730 in the Mi Note 10 could take those 108 MP shots so well. Nokia dropped the ball there, but hopefully they can recover with their next flagship.

Will you be doing a case for this one? I know it has different lenses, but how about Tele on top of Tele for optical 2x, 4x & 10x! That would be pretty crazy... Or an ultrawide with main sensor.

Yo moment hear me out. Make a case that still has the mount for the lenses, but make it a clear case so that we can see the beautiful colors of the phone (like with those new iPhone 11 colors)

Not in the current roadmap to support with our lenses but we sell a bunch of other accessories and gear that can still be used with it

It would be a stretch (especially since this phone might be a bit hard to get in the US), but would you ever design cases/lens mount for this phone to use with your series of lenses? Just think of the possibilities with this high resolution camera. 🤤
One qualm though is that the chip / tech stuff are “just average” though.

seeing the review of this phone from a photographer is a game changer. I've seen a lot of review but just simply and lazy stuff, now is something different..
Imagine this camera with GCAM.
I tried gcam on multiple devices. It's always worse photos. I Now have the OnePlus 7 Pro. Took photos side by side withe the two apps. Deleted gcam after that. Tried it on the Huawei Mate 20 Pro and my girlfriend's Xiaomi Mi 9. Always worse photos on gcam. I followed every step and settings from tech reviewers.

@@ibj3 on Samsung it may not do the half compared to Xiaomi except in autofocus and speed treatment between shots. Xiaomi will allow you much more things.

Love the cinematic approach to reviewing - was the entire video shot only with the M10? Feels like different cams or maybe that only some of the footage was heavily post processed cause the quality varied dramatically through out the vid...
