Totally agree with Alexandra, great info as ever. Having changed from dish to dome back in the day ,this was due to sites we used being very windy. Such wonderful names for these sat channels, think astra 2 or ashtray as we called it will always hold a place in my heart,😀 And also .....what a load of tripe can be found too!! Advise anyone new to satellite use park, check your coverage ,see if you get anything on TV before you start to unload all your bits, otherwise you may have to move pitch just to get a decent picture 👌 Flurry 's of snow here in Weymouth ...a rare sight ,got the 10 loaves x 20 tins of soup in just in case .......panic what panic 👌💕
We have a Roadpro Sat Dome system. Works very well, but we often have to think where the trees are when pitching up. Like you we're watching less live TV. Mainly live Football.
Hi, We enjoyed your Maxview vlog. and also have a Maxview Seeker System using an 850mm dish. I agree wholeheartedly with your positive comments on the Maxview system. I would recommend the 850mm dish to receive Astra 28 signals in the South of France. Great vlog with drone as well. What Drone do you have? I have just purchased a Mavic Pro but haven'y used it much yet due to the recent poor and cold weather . Keep up your interesting Vlogs Don Thomas
Be interesting to see where this goes in the future with Sky already saying they will move people away from a dish and over to internet tv in future - I believe Sky Italy has already started to get people moving away from the dishes. They say Sky will still keep the satellite service but one wonders for how many more years before stopping what must be a very expensive option to use for tv services. Internet must be so much cheaper.
Yes, technology moves on and the big companies like SKY will move to tech that is the best for them. I don't see them moving everything over to internet just yet although they have started to do it with their "NOW TV" service. I suppose that if Satellite TV did move over to internet tomorrow, the internet service providers would see a massive drain on resources and woul need to upgrade internet services very quickly. over time though I do see everything moving over to "mobile internet" through 4G, 5G, and WiFi. I see the price of mobile broadband coming down significantly. EE have dropped the price of their 4G home Router deal from £100 a month to £54 a month for 200GB. Exciting times I guess...
We currently use a EE Mobile Broadband device and 64GB sim deal at £30 a month. I’m thinking of going for the 200GB “home router” IF I can keep my “double data” loyalty bonus thus giving us 400GB a month. That should keep us going with watching UA-cam, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and uploading the daily Vlog :) Just need to make sure that the “home router” can be charged up from a 12 volt supply OR might need to get a. small inverter...
Edmund Brelsford £100 a month and is all usable across Europe. I’ll probably update that to a new 500GB package next month as that’s the same cost as I pay now for the 300GB + 64GB which are £70 and £30 respectively.
Thanks for sharing! Life saver 👍

Yes a whole new subject to explore in a few years time I bet - the best way to get internet tv in a van :)

You say you mainly use internet. How do you get your WiFi?
We use an EE my first data device. Currently 364GB a month
@@TheHappyTravellers how much does that cost per month?

@@TheHappyTravellers Thanks for the info.
What do you have to pay?
We pay about £7 per month for each service.
