The major part of the choreography are mirrored movements, as Sua wanted to represent the lyrics of the song, which as you said are about the inner conflict of the main character with himself, in other words his mirrored image. Thus, also, the hand gesture on the chorus when they cover half their faces, like split personalities. There is a short audio of Sua explaining her process of making this choreo and some bts stuff of the video.😊
SuA said she felt a lot of pressure with this choreo cause it was highly anticipated (granted, cause SHE spoiled it immediately after the album dropped lol) and the song was so hard to choreo but she still took her time and she put A LOT of thought into it. The Korean in the beginning means "Stay forever my Demian". The book Demian by German author Hermann Hesse is about Emil Sinclair, who is a young boy raised in a middle class home, amidst what is described as a "Scheinwelt" (a play on words meaning "world of light" as well as "world of illusion"), so the entire existence can be summarised as a struggle between two worlds: the show world of illusion and the real world, the world of spiritual truth. Accompanied and prompted by his mysterious classmate and friend "Max Demian", he detaches from and revolts against the superficial ideals of the world of appearances and eventually awakens into a realization of self. It is about the duality of the world, and Dreamcatcher know quite a bit about duality. 😉 I believe that is also why they cover half of their face in the choreo. The choreo was done by SuA, and she did a brilliant job! Musically I really enjoy Demian, it has some elements of ProgRock in it, which is one of my beloved genres of music.
As others have said, SuA choreographed this, and insomniscy has a video of her going over it and the things she thought about it that i think you will enjoy a lot whether you watch it on your own or for youtube/Patreon. Also, SuA apparently had a lot of input on the lighting for the video too, so i really liked that you commented on how it did so well to highlight their dancing. :)

SuA choreo on point. The Siyeon strut at the start always gets me. The focus on Dong’s gaze on her part, JiU’s parts.. arms.. I stand by that Dami did not have to go so hard on the rap. The outfits are on point. Dami, Dongie and Yoohyeon- abs, Siyeon and JiU with the arms.. I may have gotten distracted by them a few times. SuA did a V- live right after the release and takes about the concept and choreo. SuA said that she had to make some parts with less movement so no one would faint as their were parts with more movements, but she edited.
I hope yyou can continue doing content. I always look for your DC (and GG I like ) reactions cause I reallyy enjoy the choreo analisys. Speaking of which: at the end, there iss liike a face off between Dami and Dongie, the lights divide the setting in twoo groups. I always tought it was the fight between good. and evil that goes on in the mind of Emile Sinclair (the main character of the Hermann Hesse novel Demian). Goes totallyy. with the concept. Also there is a video of SuA talking more abouut the choreo.

Also that part where Dami broke threw the girls during her part felt like I was being attacked when I saw them in concert. And I say attack in a good way like so much energy
