Thank you for the tips! I want to create some engaging Instagram reels with a cinematic look. A fun project where I can practice and keep expanding my knowledge. And I needed this video. You are the GOAT.
A thing to consider with lut previews is that many different monitors calculate false color differently and in some cases the lut preview and impact the false colors readings. I find that nailing exposed with just log is much more consistent and if in a controlled lighting environment I then could use lut previews after.
Your work and videos means a lot to me since i start to learn photography last year. Thank you very very much for all the effort you put on this and all your projects. Thanks, for real. Greetings from Argentina
Hi! I just found this video. This is quality. We subscribed. Thanks for sharing your cinematic tips. What adapter do you recommend for the helios lens? - Wilfredo
Good stuff! I've been following your channel since I started photographer 3 years ago. Initially, I thought I would do more street, but I've moved to portraits. Today, I'm thinking of starting to do street again. Have you tried the DJI Pocket 3 yet?
I'm considering getting your cinematic reels course, but I'm not sure I want to make the investment to get a dedicated camera so I want to just start out with using the phone. I currently have a Samsung S10, and I'm thinking about getting a Sony Xperia 1 V. It seems to have a lot of good hardware and allows more manual controls for photos and video than other phones. What are your thoughts on getting something like that, or should I just stick with what I already have?
Great Value here again. Indeed Sound is as important if not even more important than the video. So overrated and as a professional audio engineer I see so many mistakes across socials from film makers. It's like there is a huge lack of knowledge. Glad you took it seriously to improve your talent.
I have followed you for a long time on Instagram first then here. You have always inspired me to go out and shoot. Such a talented photographer/videographer. I'd love to get your photo book if you are selling them still?
I can relate, also coming from photography, my videos only became somewhat watchable when I started using a script as the starting point. I am using S-Cinetone on my ZV-E1 for now but would like to try out S-LOG one day, seems a little less daunting with a preview LUT.
yes tbh in the past I often didn't even want to use SLOG in challenging low light situations because either under or overexposing slog too much (especially with the past camera models) was often worse than shooting with no profile at all

Great to hear!
I just found your channel, its effing amazing.
I agree that ultimately, it is (storytelling) that is small but exerts great power.
great info! love the look your getting!
Your work is very inspiring, both the photographs and the videos.
Thanks very much
For someone new looking to film your style of videos, what camera would you recommend? Your work is amazing!
I'd love to know some of these hotels 😍
Thank you for this video means a lot to me
It’s nice to see you picking up vintage lenses
I wanted a helios for like 5 years just never got around to it till now lol
@@teemu.mp4 I got the 85mm one, its got crazy swirl, should look into Jupiter 9 and a bunch of other vintage lenses that are popular for film makers
Any other vintage lenses you'd recommend? It's a new idea to me but at that price-point it's well worth trying out
Im kinda new to them as well so no apart from the ones i mentioned, i need to find more
Nice work!

Thank you. For me fx3 and the iphone is enough, feel like dji pocket 3 came out a few years too late to be that relevant

I have 2 Helios 44-2 and one of them I got with a M422 Camera at a flea market for 15 €
nice! I think it's inflated a bit due to it's popularity
Do you ever worry that some of the vintage lenses are radioacitve ☢?
@@poochbaloo5995 you can google the topic for more info
I think the ones I have aren't, i hope, lol
