UX Design Basics for Beginners
Вставка
- Опубліковано 1 жов 2024
- This is a start of a new series in which I will take one design term and explain it in under 90 seconds, with examples.
Starting with something broad like UX design but for next week I have two propositions:
🅰️ Low fidelity wireframes
or
🅱️ Flow diagrams
You can vote in the comments by saying which one you prefer but also please tell me why! And all comments to this video are appreciated, this series will grow based on your feedback.
I want to give you simple, down to earth explanations so even non-designers can understand these terms. And always with examples and visual aid.
Let me know what you think!

The idea for this series comes from my bestselling NO BS Guide to UX book. You can get it right here:

Flow diagrams ! Love the 90 second format 🎉
Thanks! I was a bit nervous whether this will work but so far not bad , next one will be better :)
✔️ B. Flow Diagrams
Flow diagrams for me as well 😄 really loved this bite sized explanation, sweet simple and practical. 👌🏻
Noted! I wanted to experiment with the form for a while and go shorter but not down to 15 seconds, we still want to actually explain something :)
Flow diagrams
love to see on flow diagrams 😁😁
It looks like flow diagrams are winning!
This video made me re-think of my own definition of ux.
User experience is the decisions you make to create a user interface, hoping the user will interact with the application or website according to the objectives set during the decision-making.
Maybe I will improve it...
As Mikhail, I especially enjoy watching this!))
B. Arquitecture of information and clustering is very important for me. Gretings!
Now I want a burger too… also let’s do flows!
That was a very good burger!
Cool! I prefer "B Flow Diagrams" for the next one :)
Flow diagrams please!
Aye aye! 🫡
Flow Diagrams for next :) As for the video, it was explained perfectly. This is how I work with my clients and I did it subconsciously :) I focus on solving business problems and user needs, not on all possible methodologies.
It seems like most people are going with flow diagrams! Yeah simple explanations work best even if they make UX feel not as "fancy" - that's good :)
makes me want to get a burger now
Go for it! Burgers are also UX!
Cute format, but I think it would have been better to give different names or just stick with the names user, business and designer. So you always have to first draw the conclusion which Michal was who/ which position. Would have been a better ux ;)
Good point! I realised it later, the initial naming convention was an attempt at humor but it definitely added to the confusion. Noted.
Flow Diagrams
Noted! Closing the vote soon and it seems flow diagrams it will be!
Love the short videos please do more ❤️💖
That's the plan - to do one like that weekly
Thanks for this video. I think Flow diagrams would be impactful and quicker to show in that time frame. Very informative.
Great suggestion! Thanks! I'm really excited to see what I can do in this series :)
Flow diagrams)
OK!
Flow Diagrams
🫡
That was quick and very insightful! I want to see both flow diagrams and Low fidelity wireframes next! make it like a 2 minute monday video :)
One has to go first! Then the second one will be another choice alongside something else :-)
Flow Diagrams! Wireframes are pretty ubiquitous but many designers dont learn flow diagrams correctly!
I'd say both can be problematic, but it's likely we'll start with flow diagrams :)
💯 Flow diagrams ! Just spent the last hour staring at a flow diagram and pretty sure I'm more lost than a user trying to navigate a website built from this very diagram. Send help (and maybe a compass).
They can be daunting but it's unnecassary, it's simple stuff really :)
"90 seconds" is amazing idea. I would like to see "flow diagrams". Thanks bro
You got it! Flow diagrams are winning!
I know youve answered this question on longer format videos
But is it even worth it to get into ux design right now?
Id love pursue it as a side gig, im a flight attendant. And started following your channel and others during lockdown and did start the grow with google program
I dont know i talked myself out of it but it is something that resonates with me and i see bad ux around me at work and in my daily life
Just figured I ask
It requires a different approach now but if you feel like it's something for you then totally go for it!
Low fidelity wireframes
I think we’ll have to vote on lofi wires again next week as flow diagrams are winning this one ;)
@@MalewiczHype i guess 😊
I think there is a difference between a user flow diagram and a task flow diagram, but maybe I'm wrong so I want to find out about that too.
Good pick!
That's didn't feel boring at all !!!! Love it . I'd like to see flow diagrams 😁
Good pick! Thanks! Of course we'll do all of the main terms eventually :-)
I'd rather to see flow diagrams, you know 😄
Noted!
Flow Diagrams
Noted! So I should continue with this video format?
@@MalewiczHype Definitely
Please in your video on how to become a UI/UX designer in 2023 you spoke of a particular course and I am lost on your website with thousand courses. Please I need the most essential course to pay for. Thanks
I spoke of many courses in that video. If you mean one people should start with it's called "Mobile Apps part 1"
@@MalewiczHype Thanks. But from then how do I go on, What is your roadmap? Given I do not really have enough money to buy many courses.
is A still relevant? Thanks for making this a 90-second video! Now I can go back to learning your app design course :)))))))))))
It is relevant but not for the majority of things. When talking about it I'll show when we still use those :)
@@MalewiczHype Good to know! I choose A :D
We'll see which one will win :)
Loved it❤ Flow diagrams ✌️
Thank you! Glad it resonated :)
Awesome, would love one on “responsive design”
We'll get to responsive design eventually but we need to start with more basic things like the currently proposed A or B :)
Is there a possibility for you to do a course about preparing for a UI or UX job interview?
It's impossible to plan every potential kind of interview ahead because each company is different - there's no one way of doing it well.
But what works is nailing all the pieces that connect into "good design" and being good at communication :)
@@MalewiczHype Thanks.
Bro I love what you do and how creative you are ✨
Appreciate it! I want to try new things so we don't get bored. Now let me know if it's 🅰️ or 🅱️?
Thank you for this video
Glad you liked it :)
I love this format!
Thanks! I’m open to feedback of course as this first one is just based on my hunch on how to make them and I want each one to be better than the last.
low fidelity wireframes please
Noted!
I vote for flow diagrams
Good choice! Noted! :)
Quality of video 💯
Glad you think so! I wanted to do something a bit different than a typical design vid :)
B. Flow Diagrams
Good choice!
Great explanation!
Thanks! Which one should I do next? A or B? :)
😍That was superfast, love it and have an awesome day, flow diagrams I'd love to see next
Thanks for the answer! We'll do all of the things of course, so it's mostly a question of what comes first :)
Thank you for this useful content. I would like to know what font was used in this video.
A rather expensive one ($500 per licence)
@@MalewiczHype Leave it😅
Sorry I only use paid fonts, that way I can be a tiny bit more original :-)
@@MalewiczHype OK, good
But why do you stop posting on Instagram?
Instagram is the most useless and stupid social network. I didn't fully stop, decided to only post things that are unique, mine and important. Not just posts.
