Keep the green mate, it's awesome and part of it's history.

Green wins the vote, probably 4 to 1

Fred Heistand Motors was located in Manheim, PA. I bought my first two Morinis (500 Strada and a new 350 K2) from him. Yes, it's a Strada, and they did come with triple disc brakes. Leave it green.

Keep the green! The color is perfect and unique in such a positive way! Not to mention green has come back in style on vintage bikes! This is one of my favorite videos. You went through a fill historical explanation and treated us to a live test ride. Excellent content as always! Thank you!

Thank you. And everyone else who has/will respond. I think the consensus is that the bike must stay green.

I was suscribed to Cycle world magazine from 1979 for probably 30 years.I remember cycle shack advertising there all the time.I dont remember a mention of them being a dealer .I like the green and gold.Gold trim was a thing then.Where would you find parts for that thing?Love the documentation on this,I never want to change original paint.

    • @bullpencycles

That might have been a different Cycle Shack. This was a small place.

Check the locking ring on the revcounter cable hasn't vibrated loose where it enters the engine mate, i had a kawasaki that used to do that about once a year stopping the speedo reading as the end of the inner came out a bit.

Loved the presentation Dave. You could always be a teacher if all else fails. I would keep the bike that colour. I had a BMW R100S back In the 90's that I painted peppermint green with gold wheels. I parked outside a BMW dealership and about 12 months later BMW released a naked 1000 the same colour. Coincidence?

Also, I should have added (after fully watching the video) that Morini's are very sensitive about their jetting, get a wide variety then have at it. I used to call Hermy all the time, he is a great guy, always helpul and loves those bikes. I used to also get parts from North Leichester motorcycles in England, they used to stock a ton of parts, but they sold that interest off to another company. I checked for parts a few months ago out of curiousity, man there is not much left. Also, the 500's would go through big ends, as the design was just a bit over stressed, the 350 was the sweet spot for that design. Yes you had to rev it, but it went well for what it was.

Leave it if it's original. But black and red would look good. I like the unique exhaust. I'd love to see it with the lowers for kicks! You need to get it on the interstate to open it up. Do the carbs have A/F screws? I know you have to adjust them hot. A tiny turn out might eliminate the hesitation, or a float adjustment. I bet it's quite fast with the 6th gear. It idles beautifully! And sounds great! Plus it's really cool with the dry clutch. Sounds like a sport bike. Thanks Dave!!

NICE BIKE . LOOKS FAST. THE GOLD AND GREEN LOOK GREAT TOGETHER. I GOT MY 1975 3 1/2 FROM I GUY THAT WORKED AT HERDAN. IT HAS A FONTANA DUAL LEADING FRONT DRUM BRAKE THAT IS HUGE. HERMIE SENT HIM TO ITALY FOR TRAINING AND HE SAID THE BIKES WERE ON AN ASSEMBLY LINE ROLLING ACROSS WOODEN TABLES THAT WERE MADE BY CARPENTERS AND THAT NONE OF THE TABLES WE EXACTLY THE SAME.. THANKS FOR THE VIDEOS DAVID. YOU ARE A GREAT, HONEST AND FAIR GUY TO DO BUSINESS WITH. ALWAYS A PLEASURE.
