Fully embracing both the algorithm and Naoto player's one joke at the same time
God, can I just say, as a Naoto sub main, how much I've grown to HATE... that one joke. Like, holy shit, he literally has a built in buffer for most of his E specials (and can i just say that his buffers are BRAINDEAD in practice) and most of his good combos have like 1 1 frame input that you can even choose to avoid and still get good damage. Honestly the actual hardest thing about playing him is not becoming a flowchart monster and playing like a moron cause his tools are mad versatile for a rushdown.
TLDR: Naoto's only hard bit is execution that you don't even have to interact with, his gameplan is braindead, GIT GUD!
Bro the Naoto community cannot take anymore of this

2 hour full clear on a character he's never used before, that's pretty good honestly. I usually spend half a day on a new character just trying to clear the hard trials lol.
I could have done it in 30 minutes if not for that damn Sway Cancel.

I wonder if Panda Global forced him, if it was a recommendation from his fellow affiliates, or if it was his own initiative.
I literally learned the day 1 naoto combo (which does 2900 damage btw) in like 5 minutes. It was even easier than ragna's beginner combo. I think for new players you could maybe even put him on the very easy level.

We did it Naotobros, we baited him with the Naoto is hard talk to get him to play the character
Interesting. 5:30 I have always felt this way for some reason. While fun I feel like some of the Blazblue trials are pretty worthless compared to what you can just find online.
They teach you the basic theory which is important.
I knew it, the difficulty in naoto trials isn't in the dash cancels that much but in the delayed timings or timings in general which have nothing to do with breaking hands.
Reminds me of vanessa or Iori players in kof who swear they are doing the craziest technical stuff but secretely hope you don't try it by yourself.
The only character that made my hands actually writhe in pain was Seth from UnderNight InBirth. Even after getting him somewhat down where I had Oki setups and combos, roughly 50 back to back matches in and I'd have to take a break or be out of commission for a few days.
He's definitely easy, he's one of the most basic characters
The reason why everyone has the notion that he's hard is his OPTIMAL shit, and people don't shut up about it
Low skill floor, high skill ceiling, probably one of the best characters someone could start with and stay with for their BB journey

This man completed all of Naoto's challenges in two hours while I still can't pull off Hazama's BnB after days of practicing
I once had a match where I pressed all the buttons so i could use my overdrive but it option-selected me into a grab
Took me like 4 hours to beat that trial, but also I'm not generally great at the game so that's good enough for me. Beat all the trials with every character and Naoto's was the hardest for me. Struggled a bit with Izanami, Valkenhyn, Carl and Hazama as well. I'm pretty terrible at microdashes so in real matches i'd rather forego any optimal stuff that uses them in favor of consistency.

In all seriousness, this character isn't that hard, you have to learn proper technique and buffer, but we're here to help, if you've taken a peak that the discord, then you should see that we hate the memes too lol

naoto is simple to play and pick up, but combos with his "dash cancel mechanics" executions that's a different story

I honestly gave up on Naoto’s trials but that’s just cuz I’m a psycho who uses the analog stick and basically had to learn another controller at the same time cuz you need to use dpad for the dash cancels lol
You can do it! I'm also a filthy analog stick player and the hardest thing with naoto for me was the sway cancel into phantom pain. The dash cancel was actually super easy once I found out you could do 214a instead of charge d cancels.
@@5kndnumbah I mostly just did it to see if I could, I don't much care if I can do them or not because all that matters is that I *can* do Azrael combos
I use D-pad and I had to switch to Analog cause it's actually easier for me.

As a newbie to the BB, I gotta say even the easy characters are hard as absolute hell to me sometimes☠️ I tried Hakumens trials as one of my first characters to try to main (Im pretty sure I actually made the mistake of picking Kokonoe as my “attempted” first BB main) and having to start the majority of my combos WHILE the opponent was laying down just threw me off completely
Lol the memes. Seriously though watching all those game acho matches back when the game first came out and seeing those godlike execution monsters do insane free-form Naoto combos were dope as hell.

Buffers make him significantly easier to use before I was told about them my hands were done lol
I took my time to try this out for myself and I speedrun learning naoto bnbs from dustloop, in 22 mins I had his 6623c bnbs down

Bruh, I've gotten all Hard & Expert trials completed on my channel for everyone to see. Honestly, Iron Tager is probably the easiest to 100% in the trials. Everyone else is going to take some Time & Dedication!!

@@TheChocolateChamp nah he's not top but he is *probably* a solid high with great frame data/buttons with cracked damage. He just struggles with the top tiers that can keep him out in neutral like Rachel/Litchi and he doesn't get crazy pressure like Izanami or Carl. Though I would say his reward is still much higher than other rushdown characters like Makoto/Bang.

To me Naoto is only really hard online offline I can do his harder combos pretty easily but online doing his harder combos sucks.

Noob here (Ive only been playing BBCF for 20 hours in the combo challenge ) why does noel combo feel harder compared to naoto ? I can't get the timing right of her dash and her combos... lots people put noel on the very easy side and naoto on the harder side but I feel naoto is easier...(naoto is easier to mash also)
The Naoto dash cancels are not easy!
That's always been the way Naoto is dumb hard to play properly but as a beginner player you can good damage without sweating every single combo, sorta like Nine or you know just press C with Mai that's what I used to do when I started losing....
