How it is work prezisely: kontrakt of the polarregion means at the same time stretch of aquatorislregion? And what happen than with synergist, how they are interconnected in the time and stretch/contraction avtion in relation to each other
Amazing! But a question: how come the stretch reflex does not oppose WILLED movement and stretch? eg i want to flex my arm. my agonist muscle contracts, my antagonist stretches. But if the stretch reflex activates, my antagonist will be contracted, opposing the contraction of my agonist, and I will never be able to flex my arm. So how come the stretch reflex does not render impossible any action? best
The tap to the patellar ligament is unexpectedly causing a rapid stretch in the quadriceps extrafusal fibers that does not originate from voluntary movement. In order to prevent any possible injury from too much stretch, the reflex is to contract the quadriceps. With the willed movements the stretch is not unexpected and not rapid.

Extremely helpful please continue the great job! A student from Greece
Same! Thank you! from another student from Greece!
She teaches very well and to the point!
Thanks a million ma'am, mesmerising lecture !
Very nicely put. I enjoy watching your videos.

amazing lecture!! Keep up the good work Ma’am! - student from india
excellent. Thankyou for explaining this so well.
God bless you so
And
Thank you
Brilliant !
Excellent Madam. Thxx
brilliant!
Thank you Profesor, student from Indonesia
Wow nice explanation

Amazing teacher!
all that regarding stretch reflex which is involuntary so what is the role of gamma motor neurons in voluntary muscle contraction ??
Same thing, it goes to the muscle spindle making sure that muscle is contracted when muscle is contracted...
