Don't worry, most of the time they have 20-30babies. It's totally normal. But sometimes they can give birth to more than 50-60babies at a time if the female is big enough to hold so many babies.
Not required but if you want to use heater then you have to be very watchful about the temperature. Because temperature variation can cause death easily.
I think It's not fully correct though. It's not that in cold fish must need a heater. Because, i've successfully bred and raised several batches of guppies, platies, swordtails in tanks outside my room, under the open sky(when the outside temp was 12°- 15°C . No issues.
The reason was sunlight. Every day the tanks got 2-3hours of sunlight. So you actually need some heating for atleast some time every day.( I should've mentioned this actually in my original comment there.)

@@Fish_Keeper I feed them crushed up fish flakes and now they're able to eat a bloodworm or two. Just keep a eye on them and they should grow quick
