It's wise not to tag traffic on the SFP ports as normally you would want the traffic between the UDM and USW using the SFP+ port to be untagged so that it allows 'ALL' traffic to pass between the router and switch as the UniFi Network Controller on the UDM would not be able to manage devices.
Is there a specific reason why you want to do that ?

I'm migrating my home network to Unifi. I've got the Cloud Gateway Max and U7 Pro Wall, so I'll be implementing VLANs. Thanks for the clear overview 👍

Hi Paul, welcome to the world of UniFi. Ahh good pieces of kit, I expect you might be adding further unifi devices in future too. You're welcome, glad you found the video clear and helpful, thanks.

@@MrTimTech2022 Yes, probably 1-2 more U7 Pro Wall's, 2 switches, security cameras (to replace my 4 Arlo cameras) and the G4 doorbell (to replace my Ring doorbell) 👍

@@TechboyUK Wow, you sure have got some plans, sounds very interesting. Maybe you should document all these upgrades on YT ? Be great to see.
To be honest I already have a UNVR but after reviewing and testing some Reolink products recently (videos on my channel) I'm planning on moving my security stuff over to Reolink, just security stuff that is!
I'm in talks with Reolink about some doorbells too so I should be doing some videos on those in the next few weeks.
Just a thought before you move over to UniFi for security. I have to say Reolink video quality on their camers is fantastic compared with the unifi ones I have and tried myself, albeit I've not tried every UniFi protect camera. But price difference is a lot more affordable with Reolink

@@MrTimTech2022 I'm not sure I'd bring anything new with regards to documenting my network setup. I've got some PC productivity setup videos I want to make 🙂
The Ring doorbell installation video I made is my most viewed. I'll be interested to see one on the Reolink doobells.
I'll check out the Reolink cameras! Thanks 👍

@@TechboyUK You never know, you might be surprised how many views you get with UniFi videos, they always seem to do well.
In fact the next video should be the Reolink Doorbell one as I've just received it 😁
No problem at all, I'm certainly thinking of moving over to Reolink cameras myself.
