I love the XT+ tires! The front is like an arrow in the sand!

Yep! Once I got cornering the difference became clear relative to the Trailmax Raids.

The sidestand struggle almost seems dangerous. I need to delete my safety switch. Maybe your spring is loose or loss tension?

Yeah it's not great, since it's basically the equivalent of a sudden stall and can be a safety hazard.
I originally thought it was a spring issue and started looking into solutions to it, and started keeping zip ties. Then it "stopped happening" for a while as I was just riding dirt roads on some group rides. When I got back in sandy/challenging terrain it began happening again though, even though from a bump perspective it wasn't anywhere worse.
When I realized that even after adding the zip tie it still got loose, I just concluded that it *must* be that I'm pushing down on it with my heal. I cannot think how else it would be pulled downward with such force to come loose with a zip tie on it.
Having said that, I do think I *also* want a stronger spring, as the stand shouldn't stay in the "slightly down" position afterwards. But I don't believe it will fix the problem assuming it's my heel.
Having said all that - yes, I am considering doing a sensor fix as the overall safer option - but it's not obvious that it is. It's safer in the sense of avoiding engine cutouts while riding, but then how likely is it that I'm gonna forget to put the kickstand up at some point and cause a crash that way....
But yeah I'm leaning toward a permanent sensor fix combined with figuring out a stronger spring.
