This is a good idea, but you should always wipe off any cleaner off your counter tops with water and a paper towel so that food that is placed on the counter will not be exposed to dried cleaner and consumed into the body. Also, vinegar will kill some bacteria, but not as much as you would think, like flu or most gram-negative bacteria. I have done tests in the lab, and vinegar was not very effective. Your better off washing a cutting board in the sink with hot soapy water, then dry, and adding the mineral oil. I'm a microbiology major, and this is my 2 cents. :)
Valerie Babcock I thought mineral oil was not good for you to get in food. Is that true or not? That is why I use small plastic cutting boards and just put them in the dishwasher. That way I do not have to oil or care for the board. One less job to do.
Valerie Babcock exactly my thoughts. I mean, she said she isn't using it for cutting meat so I guess this takes away some of the harm (if you think about the agar components, for most of the harmful bacteria you need some proteins in your agar to make them grow) but there are all the other ones... Saying it disinfects it is wrong, but I'm guessing that it leaves only the natural, non-harmful biota.
Marguerite Farrell Mineral oil is completely non-toxic and food safe (it's often used orally as a laxative) and should be used on wooden cutting boards.

"IF AND WHEN" you are able to GET the Lysol wipes or even the off brand again....A little hack I've been doing for a while now is this: As you get to the bottom of the container, the wipes start to have a lot MORE liquid disinfectant in them. So I wring them out back into the container as I take each wipe out. Of course, I leave it wet enough to do the job, but there is STILL plenty of disinfectant liquid being saved by doing this. WHY you might ask??....Because at the end, when the container is EMPTY of wipes there is a GOOD amount of disinfectant left over! What can you do with it?? Buy fragrance free huggy natural wipes at Walmart (they are good, and thick)....Pour the left over disinfectant into the container opening, and mark the lid as Lysol wipes. Now, you have a NEW container of disinfectant wipes for use around the house!!! 😎🖒🖒 It's a win-win situation, and it works VERY well!!! Most of the time, I'm able to do 2 huggy wipe containers off of one Lysol container.
When I made them 2 years ago with this video, I did it exactly as Catherine instructed, then I started adding lavender essential oil and its a disinfectant as well! :)
Absolutely love DIY cleaners etc!! I have been making my own laundry detergent for over a year and saved about 200 hundred dollars! Thanks for the great tips!
You have to have a sink of hot, soapy water anyway to clean your non-dishwasher stuff. So just wipe everything with your dishcloth and don't use disposables so much. Lately I use a Norwex cloth, but used regular cotton dishcloths for 59 years. Just put out a fresh one regularly. A dishcloth lasts for decades. Paper towel lasts for one use.
You would wipe other places than just the kitchen, so that is still kinda inconvenient. Also, you can sanitize cloths and sponges by zapping them on high for 60 seconds in the microwave. Helpful to know if you don't change daily
I bought some lovely face washers (cloths) from Best and Less (a store like Kmart here in Australia but we have proper Kmart too) for the same purpose. They are cheap and work well and when I'm done, I throw them in the washer with the bath towels. As I have heaps, I never run out, providing I do at least one load of laundry per week lol
Change your towels & cloths every day. Keep 3 small spray bottles always in kitchen... 1.Diluted bleach w/water 2. soapy water 3. 70-91% pure alcohol. SO Helpful to have all those at the ready YOU WOULDN'T BELIEVE! KEEP UNDER DARK COUNTER! SUGGESTION from another comment, so I'll be adding a 4th with hydrogen peroxide!
@@FastEddy5 I don't sell Norwex, so my opinion truly gets me nothing- try Norwex for real and see if you still feel that it's a gimmick that does nothing. I get that they are expensive products, but they work great!
I hope you're using the right mineral oil. FOOD GRADE is what you should be using. Just fyi. Personally, I love that you actually DO oil your cutting board, many kudos for that. You have no idea how many friends of mine I had to teach about how to properly care for your cutting board. Personally, I use Boos Block Mystery Oil.
As for the containers... if you already use the Lysol wipes or other wipes in a container.... well... save the container and reuse them. lol. It wont hurt as you have already used them prior to making your own, so you are not introducing something into your life that you hadnt used before.
I am here! I love Kathryn and her positive attitude! I have been following her for the last 6 months. I have started crafting thanks to Kathryn. I can't find cleaners in the stores at this time, these are great!
I was wanting to get a cutting board, and remembered you did a video but never searched for it. Then stumbled onto diy disinfecting wipes! Knocked out 2 things I was looking for!!! You're awesome Kathryn! Love ya!!! Hugs!!
I just thought I'd mention that one of the best and safest ways to disinfect surfaces like cutting boards is with normal table salt. if you rub some on there after you clean it. it works via osmosis causing the water to be drawn out of the bacteria cells. any chemical some bacteria can get use to but anything that's alive needs water.
Great idea! Love all of your videos, thanks so much for taking the time to share! Just an FYI, Ikea has a huge wooden cutting board (18x20) for just $10.

This is an absolute lifesaver!! I'm on a very tight budget and buying products can be expensive for me. I now been saving $75 every 3 months!! Thank you so much!! :)
I tried this and the paper towels fall apart, I would recommend making this into a spray formula and using clean cotton wash cloths (cheap ones) you can find in bulk, it's alot cheaper in the long run and they will last forever.
Since you can't find any in stores now I decided to make my one tonight. I bought a big round container from dollar tree. They come in 2 sizes. The big one will fit a whole roll of paper towel and half size to fit half roll. I added 1 cup water, 1/4 cup rubbing alcohol, 1/2tsp of dawn, 1tbs of ammonia and few drops of mandarin orange essential oil. I cut an X on top of the lid with exacto knife so I can pull it out one at a time. I also got a metal prayer box container from dollar tree (or a mint tin) and cut baby wipes to fit inside and added some of the mixture to keep in my purse to use as hand sanitizer.
The Son’s name is Yahusha, not jesus, god, yeshua or lord. Lord translates to ba’al btw and yeshua means ‘let us forget His Name.’ The Father’s name is Yahuah. Hi Kathryn, Thank you for your vids... I have a large bamboo board purchased from IKEA that I use. It is stored on top of my gas cook top....this also gives me extra counter space which is always useful. Thanks Wendy
The more I watch your vids the more I like them and I liked them A LOT to start with! I especially like that you actually clean your house versus some others that tell us how to do it then have hired housekeepers to do theirs. Thank you for sharing all your wonderful tips, ideas and cleaning recipes!
True, I wouldn't use the mineral oil either. I use coconut oil or olive oil on my cutting block. Both work equally well. I also think these wipes in a container would be great in the car for wiping your hands after you've pumped gas, or after you've eaten, etc. Conveniently stored in the tub. Nice.
Ladies - Coconut oil is allergenic for many people so now they are finding, and causes digestive issues still for others. My cat got deathly ill from it. The safest oil to use is still a lightly scented olive oil.
There is a difference between food grade and regular mineral oil. It would say on the outside of the container. Sometimes you can find it in the aisle where you get said chopping board or at better kitchen gadget stores.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS!!! I tried this and my counter tops look amazing and my kitchen smells clean! I did use bounty, just the regular ones and they did not shred or tear. I recommend this idea!! I even use them in my restroom! Thank you so much for this idea! Love your videos and love you! ❤️👌😊
I did this recipe today. Thanks so much for it. I actually used a tall cylinder container to make it up. I cut the roll in half, soaked the first then added the second and set it upside down to soak completely. Now I have an instant refill.
I have so many empty plastic coffee containers, I know that I could easily utilize a couple of them for these wipes. Thanks so much for posting this video!
I was just thinking about switching from Lysol wipes to homemade diy wipes to save money. This video was definitely on time. I saw you reference this video on your deep freezer organizational video. I'm definitely going to give this a try! Thank you
I have been making/using these wipes for about a year & love them. I have a small parrot & she poops ALOT! This is a great way to clean up her little poops. I use the "select-a-size" paper towels for a smaller size wipe. And love the vinegar wipes for cleaning my parrots cage, the best natural poop cutter there is. I also found some perfectly sized air tight round canisters to hold both types of wipes. So much cheaper than buying them & smells so good!
Since I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease a few years ago, I have slowly replaced most of my cleansers with cleaner, healthier alternatives. I make my own hand/body wipes, bath wipes, kitchen and bathroom cleansers/disinfectants including toilet cleaner., pet wipes, floor cleaner, hair spray/gel, etc. I even made my own soap but I prefer to buy a special soap/lotion for my skin. Most of my recipes came from Utube. I have a binder of recipes for just about anything. I highly recommend that people watch the phenomenal "how to videos" on UA-cam. I do not know how to make paper though!. I use Brommer's soap, vinegar, baking soda as a base for many of my home made products. Give it a try! I would never go back to buying over the counter!
Love your videos!! I use vinegar, water, dawn, and a little peppermint oil in a cleaned out pickle jar. I then stuff the jar with cloths cut from old clothing thats been washed. I do like to use a bleach and water solution on my counters a few times a week. If I have gotten anything having to do with raw meat on my counter that automatically calls for bleach. Beyond thst, I love my wipes and won't go back to Lysol or Clorox. I use wipes in the bathroom as well.
I have Lysol concentrate. Can anyone send me a message, if they know the ratio of the Lysol and water for wipes? Also have disinfecting Clorox and need a ratio for that!
I use small plastic cutting boards and just put them in the dishwasher. I had a pretty wooden one and it was so freaking heavy! I gave it away. I like the homemade wipes idea, tho I am trying to use far fewer paper towels these days. I use microfiber cloths from the dollar store. I just drape it over the bottle and put it under the sink. I change it to a clean one every few days. I made a natural cleaner with peppermint castille soap, and it works great on glass and counters.
I used to make homemade baby wipes this same way with paper towels (different ingredients of course) because my son's skin was too sensitive for commercial baby wipes. I can't remember the exact recipe anymore, but it was something like 3 cups of water, 3 tablespoons of baby oil, and 1 teaspoon of liquid baby soap. I used Bounty paper towels. Cut the roll in half and placed in a round Rubbermaid container with very tight-fitting lid. I never thought of putting them in a rectangular container - great idea! I used to mix the water, oil, and soap right in the container then place the 1/2 roll of paper towel in the container, put the lid on and turn it upside down for about 15 minutes. The paper absorbs the liquid very well this way - without having to pour it over the paper roll. Once the liquid was fully absorbed, I'd pull the cardboard roll out. Homemade baby wipes save sooo much money and are much gentler on baby's sensitive skin. Homemade baby wipes with recipe and all ingredients were one of my gifts at every baby shower I attended, and everyone LOVED it!!
Loved the video Kathryn as always! When you are showing the wooden block did you mean 'proper' on the screen text? Sorry just spotted and thought maybe you'd missed it. I think here in the UK maybe Bounty is the best to try this idea with. Love the idea of the wooden block with drainage. Think I'd still want to rinse off most of the gunk and juice though then maybe finish with the wipe down.
Hi ... I have always used olive oil on my board rubbed it in... it keeps my chopping body in tip top shape.. as hydrates it too.. and also keeps my hands and nails moisturised at the same time! Xx
Great ideas! I am a school librarian and I am constantly wiping down books, counters, tables, etc....I am definitely going to use the alcohol wipes for this. I'm sure you have tons of awesome classroom organization ideas....maybe you should do some school videos :) You're great on camera and I can totally see you in the classroom. Thanks for all of your useful tips!!
I love the idea of making my own cleaning wipes and I believe I'll try it. However vinegar is not a disinfectant so it not a safe alternative for cutting boards and neither are the store bought wipes. Cutting boards need special attention because every time you cut on them it leaves small cuts on the board and they are notorious for collecting bacteria. Even after you wash, dry, and put the board away those nasty little bugs can be waiting there for you a week later, waving 'Hello" to you. You really need to use an actual disinfectant. I happen to use bleach because I know it will be 100% effective in killing the nasties. Fruits and vegetables can carry food borne illness (salmonella) just as much as raw meat. It happens on *some* farms that use manure for fertilizer or it can happen from contaminated water used for irrigation, so they can carry bacteria right from the soil. These days a lot of what we eat isn't even grown in the USA so it's best to be safe. So whatever you use on your cutting board make sure it's really killing stuff that can make you sick. (P.S.) IF you use bleach use proper precautions so you're using it safely
Dollar tree has handiwipes....9 in a package....and you can buy concentrated Lysol. I cut them in half. Used Handiwipes can be washed and dried. DYI, reusable Lysol wipes for 2.00 + tax.
I've watched a few of these DIY cleaners, bleach is the best. It takes only 2 oz bleach + 32 oz water + a few drops of an essential oil, I like lavender, it smells great & you don't smell the bleach at all. Also, I used blue shop towels cut in half bc the reg paper towels don't hold up very long to the chemicals.
I love your videos. I was watching your organizing videos the other day to get some ideas and my husband totally came home that night with all kinds of organizing things and he redid our kitchen and bathroom thanks to you! I have your thai chicken crock pot recipe cooking right now! thanks for such awesome videos
That is an expensive hardwood cutting board. An average wood cutting board is made from a lesser porous wood and is not disinfected by wiping it with vinegar. The sugars from vegetable juices will soak into it and support bacteria growth in the knife cuts. Many bacteria thrive in a slight acidity environment; it's how wine is made. You would do better with ANY cutting board to use straight (3%) hydrogen peroxide; it breaks down to water. and oxygen gas in light. with no residual taste or odor. HDPE boards are my preferred. They are dishwasher safe, inexpensive and last longer with wood. No oiling, no concern about disinfecting or which board to use for meat unless you run a Kosher kitchen, and they come in colors to solve that.
You are so cool! I want to come live with you. Love your "upbeat" attitude! Those wipes you buy in the store are expensive and filled with chemicals that aren't always so friendly. Using paper towels we are ensuring that the paper will properly decompose in the landfills. You're AWESOME!!! Thank you thank you!!
I'm curious why the solution you used for the counter top wipes are alcohol based and not vinegar based. Is there an advantage to using alcohol to make the wipes over vinegar for counters?
Okay...so awesome...these wipes work really well, especially on my stainless steel appliances. I added lavender essential oil drops because I'm all about scents and my house smelling good (due to having 3 dogs that are inside most of the time). Thanks for the awesome video!!!
I just used them and they work perfectly. Made both varieties of them. Each Lysol wipe container costs $4.00 and this only cost me $2.00, and I have 10 times more wipes than when i buy Lysol. Thanks for the idea, it was very good.
Love. I actually really like the Windex Touch-Up cleaners because I can leave it in our lower cabinet and just dab it with my paper towel for easy counter clean-up but maybe I'll give these a try some time! And I have seriously been thinking about getting a nice big chop block for, like, ever because they really are so lovely and add a nice natural (and functional!) element to your kitchen :)
Keep the Touch-Up container and put in the mix provided here! I love the idea of those dispensers but I hate the thought of having to use the chemicals up in my kitchen to get the container from it. And I hate wasting things even more so I can't just buy it then pour out the contents.... :) By the way - I just spend a good deal of time cruising my dollar store and came home with a tonne of great organising ideas!
...notice the type of knife she’s using cause a serrated knife makes the end of the towel ragged (and a semi dusty mess). I thought I going to cut it better, not!
OMG thank you!! I was literally JUST searching for any good DIY kitchen wipes videos the other day but couldn't find any nice and simples ones... but yippee now you have one!! Thank you! I'm definitely making these :)
I'm in Trinidad and rubbing alcohol just used to sit on the shelves.. Now that along with aloe Vera gel, lysol wipes and spray, Clorox wipes, and TP are mostly extinct.. Sigh!!
@@sunshinelizzy1 really?! I always have to have Clorox, alcohol and lysol spray, but they are nowhere to be found. And no toilet paper either. I told my daughters that soon I'm gonna have to look for the smoother leaves that I could find😁
Lord, i remember seeing videos like this years ago and thinking, Oh that's a neat idea and project but it seems like too much effort and are we really gonna ever need to do this?? lmao!
I love Lysol wipes and use them like crazy because it's a quick clean up. I tried this out today and I absolutely love it. Saves me about 50%. Thanks for the tip.
The reason why people use mineral oil is because other oils will go rancid over time. Rancid oils cause a free-radical cascade inside the body which promotes the growth of cancer. Just be sure to use a 100% pure pharmacy grade mineral oil that's intended for consumption. Not all mineral oils are created equal. It's the impurities in mineral oil that are toxic...toxic oils include baby oils and mineral oils not labeled for consumption.
I was using Lysol wipes and Clorox cleanup, I will now try your products I hope that works I like using Clorox because I feel like it sanitizes everything. Thank you for the video.🧚♂️🧚♂️
Mineral Oil I just cringe at this ingredient because it’s sold as something wonderful for babies by a certain well known baby products company. Mineral oil should be labeled “oil of crude” since it is a by-product of distilled gasoline made from crude oil. Its sole purpose is to coat anything it comes in contact with and keep the skin from releasing its own natural oils or eliminating toxins. Isopropyl alcohol - Sneaky is the word for this gem. If you pay attention, isopropyl alcohol is showing up in all kinds of care products. DO NOT USE THEM. Known as rubbing alcohol, this chemical turns into acetone when it enters the body. It is a known depressant, nerve toxin, lung and heart irritant, and liver toxin. Other names: isopropanol, 2-propanol, and propyl.
+Tabatha Holtz What do you suggest as an alternative to these two very toxic substances? What would you use instead of mineral oil and isopropyl alcohol?
I like the small plastic cutting boards for veggies and fruits. So easy to just wash in the sink (with hot soapy water) after using them. Love the vids. TY.
For my kitchen counter cleaner I've been using a mix of water, vodka, and tee tree oil in a spray bottle. I may add your version of the cleaner as a substitute for the lysol wipes in the bathroom though, or even still for the kithchen. Thanks!
Just in time.👍💯👏 I ran across this video as a recommendation. I had already used the exact same in a empty windex bottle to use for spraying and wipe with paper towels. Gotta find the right size container though.
+SFO14 I've been thinking about putting a flat screen tv in my kitchen to display recipes on while I'm cooking. Simply put Recipe on USB in photo format and voila... no more papers on the countertop

i love the idea of diy wipes! Gonna make some as soon as my commercial ones are used up. maybe I can for them in the same containers? I love my wooden chopping block. did you know that plastic boards can retain bacteria from what you have cut on them? And glass ones will blunt your knives. But wood ones contain their own anti-bacterial properties so they don't need to be submerged in water like other boards. Just a wipe and/or rinse off and you are good to go! Adding a DIOAD homemade wipe to the mix is just icing on the cake 😆 I do use plastic boards for cutting meat and chicken. I hand wash them AND put them thru the dishwasher for good measure.
I have been saving orange peels in the freezer for a vinegar based cleaner that is DIY.for the kitchen. You pour it into a spray bottle after 2 weeks and throw the peels away. Then, you can dilute it with filtered or distilled water if need be.
Thank you so much for sharing this! Just made my first batch of these today! Added some peppermint and lemongrass oil, but kinda over did it on the dish soap. Ah, well... they still get the job done. xChristianna
i use "wipes" made of flannel that i keep in 2 $ tree containers with different color lids (clean/dirty}. They can be washed with my towels and last for years. They are super cheep in the long run. I use different color flannel for the bathroom and kitchen. I have been using this for antibacterial wipes for at least 5 years and they are still fine.
😂 and here I am mixing it with the knife 😂 You're my kind of gal ☺️ thank you for this video. I like this recipe because I didn't like Lysol wipes because I was always washing my hands after using them because their chemicals. Alcohol is not a major chemical. My husband was a chemical technician and I always love to spray Lysol in the air and he would tell me spray it in a room but then leave the room. And I would be standing there breathing it in cuz I loved it. He would laugh and tell me it kills 99.9% of germs what do you think it's doing to your lungs. So I finally listened. I still joke about that today, as now you're hearing. StayWell ️
Peggy Vick I experienced life threatening central nervous system damage from the product you mentioned in your post. This is because I was exposed to the vapors by inhaling them while they came thru my bedroom window. Neighbors did laundry 24/7 and I was being poisoned. I laid in bed 3 years, lost all my muscle mass...I’m still recovering. I did research on the f. softeners and d. sheets. What i found in my research angered me. Companies can put chemicals that are considered neurotoxic and carcinogenic in these products. There are no requirements for them to divulge every ingredient on the label. This is how they fool the public. The pretty scent covers up the sickening chemical smell. (1) scent can take up to any combo of 3000 synthetic petroleum based toxic chemicals. You must research this and please do not buy these products. They are dangerous esp. to children whose brain/nervous systems have not developed and to pets. I’m still fighting for my life. When the chemicals from these products are heated up in the dryer they become more volatile (dangerous). The toxic VOCS end up in your home forever as they are designed (with another chemical) to NEVER come out of your clothes, your walls, your furniture. Etc. So, please, please, re-think these products. I’m telling you this so no one else has to go thru what hell I’ve been thru. 😊

Our rags got old and I’d run out of clean ones unfortunately. Too much washing to do all the time.
I did the same, but with a couple rolls of bamboo towels I picked up. Once they're washed, we just roll them back up and soak them again

Valerie Babcock exactly my thoughts. For those curious, I tried this with all three ingredients from the dollar store plus the paper towels and container and it works great!

Agreed , not only to improve the smell of the solution but to increase the disinfecting power, especially lemon and lavender.

I use them for touch ups an I always rotate them in the containers (Clorox/Lysol) but now I think I will b tryin this one

Goes to the store: no Lysol wipes in sight.

This is an absolute lifesaver!! I'm on a very tight budget and buying products can be expensive for me. I now been saving $75 every 3 months!! Thank you so much!! :)
I think the Viva paper towels would work really good because they are like cloth texture also the blue shop towels are great👍🏻☺️
I tried this and the paper towels fall apart, I would recommend making this into a spray formula and using clean cotton wash cloths (cheap ones) you can find in bulk, it's alot cheaper in the long run and they will last forever.
Jesus. Thank you for helping us through these difficult times. Thank you that you never leave us or forsake us. 🙏💕🌈

The more I watch your vids the more I like them and I liked them A LOT to start with! I especially like that you actually clean your house versus some others that tell us how to do it then have hired housekeepers to do theirs. Thank you for sharing all your wonderful tips, ideas and cleaning recipes!
mineral oil is petroleum based so it's a no no in my house I use coconut oil to condition chop block
Olive won’t harden into a white film like coconut does.
There is a difference between food grade and regular mineral oil. It would say on the outside of the container. Sometimes you can find it in the aisle where you get said chopping board or at better kitchen gadget stores.
Yeah, I don't know why she doesn't just use olive oil.
She has come such a long way! I love her channel and all her videos cheer me up.
Good idea. But there is a chance it might rust.
@@iadorenewyork1 They're plastic
I was just thinking about switching from Lysol wipes to homemade diy wipes to save money. This video was definitely on time. I saw you reference this video on your deep freezer organizational video. I'm definitely going to give this a try! Thank you
And you can reuse the Lysol container for the DIY when your done with the original wipes.
If you do essentials 3-4 drops can scent these day wipes- lemon or lavender Evernote peppermint!
I made these after watching your video about a year ago! I can't even begin to tell you how much I appreciate it now during this crazy time.
I get recommended this during the coronavirus outbreak
With all this virus going on and stores being out of disinfectants this diy is good to know. Thanks for sharing!
Lol! Yes! :) Good eye, Sophie
Sophie Gist Thanks Sophie. In the UK and wondering which kitchen paper might work well. Will try bounty.

+MsMerryland so wat is your recipe just bleach an wtr
Dollar tree has handiwipes....9 in a package....and you can buy concentrated Lysol. I cut them in half. Used Handiwipes can be washed and dried. DYI, reusable Lysol wipes for 2.00 + tax.

I've watched a few of these DIY cleaners, bleach is the best. It takes only 2 oz bleach + 32 oz water + a few drops of an essential oil, I like lavender, it smells great & you don't smell the bleach at all. Also, I used blue shop towels cut in half bc the reg paper towels don't hold up very long to the chemicals.
Debra Cline would you say the bleach wipes last pretty well? Would they last a couple months, u think?
It is because her countertops are granite.
Vinegar and other acidic substances (lemon, tomato, orange, cola) will ruin the finish on stone.
She has laminate counter tops.
Nyx773 the first thing she said is that they were NOT granite
The chop block is such a great idea! I HATE getting out the cutting board. Seems fussy. Awesome.
There is a very lucky husband out there! She's a keeper, for sure. 💯

Please do not use vinegar on Natural Stone, such as granite. It will dull and etch the stone.
She used rubbing alcohol and dish soap on the counter top. The vinegar was on the wood block.

Are we able to use peroxide instead of alcohol?
Okay...so awesome...these wipes work really well, especially on my stainless steel appliances. I added lavender essential oil drops because I'm all about scents and my house smelling good (due to having 3 dogs that are inside most of the time). Thanks for the awesome video!!!
I feel like I watched this years ago, but never took it seriously. Until now 🤔

I just used them and they work perfectly. Made both varieties of them. Each Lysol wipe container costs $4.00 and this only cost me $2.00, and I have 10 times more wipes than when i buy Lysol. Thanks for the idea, it was very good.
Or just wash the counter top with your sponge or dish cloth dry it off then spray hydrogen peroxide on it and walk away
+katesgram lol
+katesgram Make sure the sponge is disinfected regularly! Sponges are breeding areas for all kinds of bad bacteria!
Linda Jacobs I run mine through the microwave, besides, it wouldn't matter, the peroxide would kill any germs it left behind

+katesgram yes that works
It would look really nice in your kitchen with your decor :)
Keep the Touch-Up container and put in the mix provided here! I love the idea of those dispensers but I hate the thought of having to use the chemicals up in my kitchen to get the container from it. And I hate wasting things even more so I can't just buy it then pour out the contents.... :)
By the way - I just spend a good deal of time cruising my dollar store and came home with a tonne of great organising ideas!
...notice the type of knife she’s using cause a serrated knife makes the end of the towel ragged (and a semi dusty mess). I thought I going to cut it better, not!

USE OLIVE OIL INSTED OF MINERAL OIL BECAUSE YOU ARE INJESTING PART OF THE MINERAL OIL.
eileenjared Olive oil can go rancid.
Great tips. I use vinegar and baking soda mainly for all my cleaning, with a little Dawn dish soap sometimes.
Use a rag and some disinfectant. Wash the rag. Reuse. Stop buying crap you throw in a landfill.
I was using Lysol wipes and Clorox cleanup, I will now try your products I hope that works I like using Clorox because I feel like it sanitizes everything. Thank you for the video.🧚♂️🧚♂️
Mineral Oil
I just cringe at this ingredient because it’s sold as something wonderful for babies by a certain well known baby products company.
+Tabatha Holtz I use cooking oil for my chopping board.
+Lexi Atel cooking oil can and will go rancid

Ah, very true... never thought of that....
+Tabatha Holtz What do you suggest as an alternative to these two very toxic substances? What would you use instead of mineral oil and isopropyl alcohol?

No. You would need 60-70% alcohol.
Not only that, but the more you dilute the alcohol, the less effective it becomes at killing germs 🦠
Hell no! It won't kill anything. I'm not being crass either. It is a fact.

i love the idea of diy wipes!

You're my kind of gal ☺️ thank you for this video.

I just made both the disinfectant and Lysol Wipes. Love them already. I added a little lavender oil to give it a lavender sent.
